Dellinger Kovot acted as Linley's teacher and grandfather figure during his youth. When six Radiant Church deacons pursued Linley, Dellinger burned his soul to cast Meteor Fall rather than abandon him. Ninisha later preserved Dellinger's soul under Locke's orders, allowing him to survive and eventually reunite with Linley as a Mid-grade God. 461 469

Resurrection and the Plane Battlefield

After Locke could grant only one resurrection per request, Linley accepted the condition of collecting Commander Badges in the Plane Battlefield—one badge for each person he wanted restored. His four-element soul mutation during this campaign gave him the strength to gather the required badges and return to Nether Mountain. 466 467 468

Linley presented his badges to Locke, leading to the resurrection of Hogg, Yale, George, and Reynolds. He retained his remaining badges rather than exchange them for immediate Sovereign Power, intending to preserve their future value. 469

Rise to Rule Overlord

Linley delayed his ascension so he could pursue Great Perfection, then refined Earth, Water, and Fire Lord Godheads after achieving Earth Great Perfection. His resulting strength qualified him as a Rule Overlord, a status Locke announced before the assembled Lord Gods. 475 476 477

Linley later retrieved Linna's body, but learned that Augusta had not truly restored her freedom or memories. This deception ended Linley's willingness to compromise with Augusta and Ov. 504 510 512

Transcendence

Unable to progress beyond his Sovereign cultivation bottleneck, Linley sought Locke's guidance. Locke revealed that Linley's Four Elements Soul Mutation gave him a direct advantage in fusing Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire—the fundamental laws of the Magic Universe. 521 522 523
