Background / History

Tang San lived beside Ye Zhiqiu in Holy Spirit Village and was raised by his father, Tang Hao. Though Tang Hao was distant and neglected household responsibilities after Tang San’s mother died, Tang San harbored no resentment; having been an orphan adopted by the Tang Sect in his previous life, he deeply valued his remaining family and cared for his father. 3

Before his Martial Soul awakening, Tang San secretly cultivated Tang Sect arts, including the Mysterious Heaven Skill and Purple Demon Eye. He concealed these abilities from Ye Zhiqiu, attributing his unusual physical capability to exercise. 1

At Holy Spirit Village’s awakening ceremony, Tang San manifested Blue Silver Grass and displayed Innate Full Soul Power. He kept his Clear Sky Hammer concealed, but Yu Xiaogang later deduced his Twin Martial Souls from his Spirit Hall certificate and accepted him as a disciple. 5 11 12

Tang San attended Nuoding Academy with Ye Zhiqiu before later joining Shrek Academy alongside Xiao Wu. His advancement increasingly centers on strengthening his Blue Silver Grass, developing Tang Sect Hidden Weapons, and narrowing the widening power gap between himself and Ye Zhiqiu. 59 215 223

Tang San is composed, polite, and considerate. He protects Xiao Wu in confrontations, thanks those who help him, and remains attentive to his teammates even while under pressure. 58 59 69

He is diligent to an extreme degree, sleeping only a few hours a day and using cultivation to replace rest. His pursuit of strength is partly driven by his unspoken ambition to rebuild the Tang Sect in the Douluo Continent. 7 22

Despite his confidence in his techniques, Tang San can recognize mistakes. After Xiao Wu defeats him with her Soft Technique, he readily admits defeat and asks to learn how the move works. 14

Tang San joins Ye Zhiqiu and Xiao Wu in opposing Xiao Chenyu’s upperclassmen. He uses Star Rain Flying Flowers, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, and precise pebble attacks to disable opponents while protecting weaker allies. 19 20

Shrek Academy Assessment

During Zhao Wuji’s entrance test, Tang San and Xiao Wu coordinate a combined opening attack. After his teammates are eliminated, Tang San stalls Zhao Wuji alone through Blue Silver Grass obstacles and Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track until his Soul Power is exhausted. 67 69

Third Spirit Ring and External Soul Bone
