As the members of the Bull and Horse Squad followed Tris deeper underground toward Camp 101, construction of the new settlement was also in full swing.
As a wooden sign bearing the words "Dawn City" was hung from a half-collapsed concrete bridge pier, construction of The Alliance's second survivor settlement officially began!
Even before the Battle of Pine Valley began, The Alliance's logistics department had drafted plans for developing the new settlement under the Administrator's instructions.
Large quantities of construction aid supplies had been transported by rail to warehouses in Bluestone County beforehand. Almost the moment Chu Guang announced victory, those supplies were loaded onto trucks and sent from the rear to the front lines before dawn had fully broken.
The supplies included two thousand steel axes, sixteen hundred shovels, and a large number of handcarts, tricycles, two-wheeled carts, and other manual transport tools.
More than three hundred construction workers arrived alongside the supplies.
Many of them were NPCs who had participated in the early construction of the Outpost, while others were lifestyle-class players with relevant work experience.
They possessed extensive construction experience, had proven themselves in practice, and had made tremendous contributions to the construction of Dawn City.
Though pioneering land was grueling work, when The Alliance needed them, they still came here without hesitation.
Perhaps out of loyalty.
Or perhaps guided by quests...
The trucks stopped at the entrance to the camp.
Before the vehicles had even fully stopped, Spare Me leaped down from one of them and shouted.
"Get off, get off! Time to work, brothers!"
"The expansion ends tonight! While you can still earn points, hurry up and make the most of it!"
"Let's go!" everyone replied enthusiastically. The strength-build players were the first to jump off the trucks and head toward the supply vehicles.
