Background / History
Cheng Cheng ruled the White Kingdom, one of Demon City’s three kingdoms sustained by the ley lines of the Kun Peng sacred lands. During the struggle for the Kun Peng Purple Mansion, she deliberately appeared unprepared in order to draw out traitors within her court. Her plan exposed the Hyena Prime Minister’s attempt to seize the White Kingdom’s ley line and replace her. Meanwhile, her human clone destroyed the Xiao Kingdom’s Royal Palace and claimed its earth vein before her true form turned against the Guo Kingdom. 93
She possesses a human avatar and a demon main body that share one soul. The human form initially carried only a weak demon split soul and lacked mana, while the demon body bore the greater burden of cultivation and rule. Cheng Cheng sought a human cultivation method that could progress with minimal attention, allowing her to manage both bodies without neglecting either. 291 292
After the Cleft Valley became accessible, Cheng Cheng used its earth veins, ancient inheritances, and the Kun Peng Purple Mansion to rebuild Demon City’s strength. Her human form managed administration and external affairs while her demon form cultivated in seclusion; eventually, both bodies devoted themselves to preparing for war against the Heavenly Beings. 337 1007
Appearance
Cheng Cheng’s human and demon forms share the same face and captivating peach-blossom eyes, but project sharply different impressions. Her human form is often associated with refined residences, flowing water, and a gentle melancholy, while her demon form carries a majestic and oppressive Demon King’s presence. 329 332
- Long hair, white garments, and bare feet when displaying her demon power. 350
- Seductive peach-blossom eyes shared by both bodies. 332
- Uses golden rings as both weapons and binding tools. 93 1025
- Can manifest a Cheng Huang Dharma Idol in battle. 1097
Personality
Cheng Cheng combines a ruler’s ruthlessness with an intensely personal, playful manner. She is willing to slaughter enemies and sacrifice short-term sentiment for the White Kingdom’s survival, yet she sincerely admired Qin Yi’s refusal to seek wealth, power, or beauty while pursuing a cure for Liu Su’s curse. 93
She is observant and teasing, often reading Qin Yi’s emotions without needing words and provoking him with flirtatious remarks. She also has a deeply possessive streak where Qin Yi and Ye Ling are concerned. 82 97 364
As a leader, Cheng Cheng thinks beyond Demon City’s immediate safety. She studies human society, maintains intelligence networks, seeks lost demon inheritances, and works toward coexistence between demons and humans rather than isolation. 97 766 816
Abilities & Skills
Dual-Body Secret Technique
Cheng Cheng operates a human avatar and demon main body with one soul divided between them.
