The Hailan Empire fell after withdrawing from the program, and the civilizations that had left begged to rejoin while Takris feared his role in the revolt would be exposed.

After Lin Fan carried the transit device through Black Hole Cavity Space, he discovered that he had traveled billions of years into the future and that the Azure Dragon Universe was a target of the Cleanup Plan.

• Lin Hong devoured captured One-Eyed Multi-Legged Beasts while Lin Fan prepared a deterrence operation and considered evolving the Alphart Civilization into Zero-Dimensional Lifeforms.

The Federation ambushed the Black Mang Empire’s Third Imperial Guard Legion, freed its enslaved Black Hole Cavity Creatures, and faced a devastating new weapon as reinforcements arrived.

• Lin Fan discovered that Luo Li had been the device’s previous commander, then found her hidden revival chamber and brought her back to life.
• Luo Li told Lin Fan and Li Lizhi how she had advanced Great Xia, led humanity through the Black Hole Cavity Cleanup Plan, and waited billions of years for Lin Fan.
• The Noreya Empire and sixteen other civilizations began attacking their neighbors as the Black Hole Cavity Consciousness drove them toward war.

The Federation then entered the Peiton conflict against the Tri-Union Civilization, with Liang Xue leading a massive fleet toward battle.

• Luofesi withdrew his wounded Black Hole Cavity Creatures as Avila’s fleet arrived, while Lin Fan suspected Avila’s surrender offer was a ploy.
• Avila compressed his unpowered fleet into the assembly area, but Lin Fan’s forces attacked and destroyed billions of ships before Avila triggered a mass detonation that killed him.
• Lin Fan rejected Taretel’s offer of peace and alliance, declaring that the Federation would destroy the Third Imperial Guard Legion.
• Taretel followed Cui Wa’s instructions to destabilize the Fault Channel, but Luo Li identified the danger and Lin Fan ordered his forces and the Black Hole Cavity Creatures to retreat as the channel collapsed around the legion.
