History

Taixuan Sect was already a major cultivation power when Gu An joined its orbit. Its resources were abundant enough to attract hidden talents throughout the Outer Sect, while its Alchemy Hall maintained dozens of Medicine Valleys. 15 The sect hosted the World Outer Sect Assembly, inviting outer disciples from major sects—including demonic sects such as the Ten Thousand Yin Sect—to gather within its territory. 27

Its righteous reputation was undermined by internal corruption. Spies from the Thousand Autumn Pavilion and the Demonic Path infiltrated the sect, while Shen Zhen revealed that Taixuan Sect was secretly experimenting with demonic arts in the Outer Sect to prepare for the Demon Calamity. Handyman Disciples were treated as expendable in these plans. 28 61 The Heaven-Mending Platform crisis exposed Outer Sect City Elder Chu Xian as a demonic cultivator who intended to sacrifice the disciples gathered there. 64 67

After the conflict with the Demonic Path and the Epiphyllum Sect, Lu Baitian reclaimed the sect master’s position. He created the Venerable Pavilion, curtailed the Elder Hall, and ordered a purge that executed more than a thousand infiltrators. 91 The sect then transformed the Heaven-Mending Platform into a public sword-cultivation site, permitting cultivators from other factions to comprehend Sword Venerable Fudao’s sword intent. 72

The Epiphyllum Sect’s Main Branch later attacked with a Profound Heart Realm cultivator. Taixuan Sect deployed thirty-two Body Integration Realm cultivators, but they were overwhelmed until Sword Venerable Fudao intervened and defeated Jin Lingzun. 113 114 The sect subsequently fought alongside other powers during the wider campaign against the Epiphyllum Sect. 141 163
