Background & History

An Hao became Gu An's disciple while still young and formed a close bond with An Xin. At fourteen, after surviving a demon-cave ordeal, he vowed to cultivate until he was renowned beneath heaven and to answer any call from his master, even at the cost of his life. Gu An subsequently watched over An Hao and An Xin until they safely reached the Taixuan Sect's outer sect. 77 81

His exceptional sword intent shook the Taixuan Sect and led many to believe he had inherited Sword Venerable Fudao's legacy. At the Golden Ranking Assembly, he defeated Li Ya with the Great Vast God-Startling Sword, and his fame spread through the Great Cang Dynasty and the neighboring dynasties. 121 130

An Hao later entered a hidden realm with Si Yan'er and received part of Suxing Daoist's Great Vehicle Realm inheritance. He subsequently encountered Chi Jiuxiao, exchanged an eighth-rank heavenly material for the divine ability Nine Transformations of the Soaring Dragon, and eventually joined the Star Sea Sect. 154 157 218 258

Appearance

An Hao is a handsome, sharp-featured swordsman whose bearing becomes increasingly imposing as his cultivation rises. His dress changes with his circumstances, from ornate sect robes to the relaxed appearance of a wandering swordsman. 130 152 317 431

  • Long black hair, often casually tied or secured beneath a crown. 130 152
  • Favored elaborate blue, white, and gold-trimmed robes in his early prominence. 130 317
  • Wore a Golden Dragon Crown while visiting An Xin after reaching the Body Integration Realm. 317
  • Possesses a Blazing Origin Precious Body that manifests as overwhelming divine flame; when activated, he resembles a blazing sun. 357 442
  • Later carried himself like a wandering swordsman, with a sword sheath laid across his shoulders. 431

Personality

An Hao is intensely driven, proud, and competitive. Even as a youth, he felt that time was running out and that disaster would strike if he did not force himself to advance. He seeks to become the strongest, but his ambition is rooted in a desire to repay Gu An and eventually protect those he values. 81 152 447

He values strength earned through personal cultivation rather than borrowed fortune. When offered the Immortal Dynasty's Fortune Bounty, he rejected reliance on external fortune and chose his own path. He also refused the Saint Ancestor's proposal to become the next Holy Heaven, despite continuing to receive the Saint Ancestor's guidance. 386 394

Gu An considers An Hao's greatest flaw to be his weak sense of responsibility toward broader personal bonds. Although he is loyal to Gu An and An Xin, he has not acknowledged his surviving bloodline descendants and has historically been willing to abandon others for the sake of becoming stronger. 541
