Background / History

Amy is the daughter of Baron Godric and Madam Philina. Through Philina, who is identified as a princess, Amy possesses royal standing within the Lionheart Kingdom. She is also the sister of Andrew. 102 106 298

Despite Philina’s wish that she behave as a conventional lady, Amy prefers combat-capable clothing and trains as a warrior. She has fought personally on battlefields, considers Li Ang her teacher, and aims to become a knight like Countess Valera. 102 131 314

During the defense of White Deer Fortress, Amy took up a Women’s Crossbow and prayed for a “Goddess’s Kiss” before joining the defense from the walls. Li Ang’s arrival under the griffin banner filled her with relief and admiration. 84 90

Appearance

Amy is a young noblewoman who generally dresses for mobility and combat rather than courtly presentation. Her practical warrior’s appearance often leads strangers to mistake her for a female mercenary. 102 139

  • Usually wears a swordsman’s outfit, light half-plate armor, high-laced boots, a sword, and a knight’s cloak gifted by Li Ang. 102
  • Has worn Stag Knight Armor and a Plumed Knight Helm while defending White Deer Fortress. 84
  • Carries a firearm on her back and a sword at her side. 139
  • Later adopts disguises for naval operations, including a headscarf, dirtied face, axe, and Queen Ursula’s helmet and banner. 377 385

Personality

Amy is independent, quick to learn, and determined to contribute rather than remain protected. She seeks opportunities to strengthen Li Ang’s territory, studies agricultural management, and applies new knowledge creatively. Sarah observes that Amy is becoming increasingly like a female lord. 140

She is emotionally loyal to Li Ang and regards his enemies as her own, believing that he has saved her twice. Her attachment is also possessive at times; she insists on accompanying him under the pretext of protecting him when Alina arrives in Long River Town. 130 226

As ruler, Amy becomes progressively more resolute. Li Ang’s disappearance, continued war, and the strain of governing harden her into a somber, uncompromising leader willing to abandon Lion City rather than sacrifice those willing to follow her. 342 347 351

Abilities & Skills

Firearms and Ranged Combat

Amy possesses exceptional natural accuracy with ranged weapons. After only two test shots with a flintlock gun, she could consistently hit targets within one hundred meters; Li Ang attributes her accuracy to talent. 140

  • Killed Foucher with a crossbow bolt as he attempted to flee by boat. 132
  • Replaced her Women’s Crossbow with Foucher’s flintlock gun. 140
  • Shot five Python Knights in the head within five minutes during the fighting on the beach. 240
  • Can use a crossbow effectively, though she lacks the strength to draw a powerful war bow. 140
  • Passed the Griffin Knights’ combat assessment using a firearm and became deputy commander. 363

Weapon Improvisation

Amy rapidly adapted to the unfamiliar flintlock gun and devised supporting equipment without Li Ang’s instruction. 140

  • Made her own slow match from hemp rope, saltpeter, and vinegar. 140
  • Modified her noble sword into a Y-shaped gun rest to stabilize the heavy firearm and reduce recoil. 140
  • Added cloth strips, ammunition storage, and a slingshot function to the removable gun-rest assembly. 140
  • Keeps a loaded round ready for rapid engagement, while only igniting the match and priming powder in combat. 142

Administration and Agriculture

Amy is an able organizer with substantial practical knowledge of food production and local management. 137 140

  • Reorganized White Deer Fortress labor into five-household groups overseen by Godric’s guards. 137
  • Discussed methods of increasing mountain grain yields with Dean, an agricultural and water-conservancy specialist. 140
  • Managed procurement of grain, artisans, and other resources for Li Ang’s expanding territory. 106 296
  • Helped preserve Pande Bank, currency stability, and military readiness during Li Ang’s absence. 351

Command and Political Strategy

Amy grows from a battlefield participant into a military and political leader. 164 204 317

  • Led the seizure of Shield Wind Fortress, whose garrison surrendered upon her approach. 164
  • Established and personally cultivated the Griffin Claws as an independent female fighting force. 204
  • Added the Dragon’s Fang exchange as collateral for the Lionheart–Raven alliance, compelling Gregory IV to treat her as a monarch of equal standing. 317
  • Ordered a national search for Li Ang after his disappearance and continued the campaign against the heretics at Cliff Bay. 341 342
  • Evacuated Lion City with tens of thousands of commoners and relocated them toward Long River Town. 347 351
  • Used Queen Ursula’s identity, flags, armor, and captured fleet to manipulate Raven and Fieltzwe politics. 385 386

Equipment

  • Women’s Crossbow — her earlier primary ranged weapon. 84 140
  • Flintlock gun — taken as her trophy after Foucher’s death; her principal ranged weapon thereafter. 140
  • Noble sword — modified with a removable Y-shaped firearm rest. 140
  • Light half-plate and knight’s cloak — practical light women’s knight attire gifted by Li Ang. 102
  • Fleur-de-lis banner — carried as Princess Philina’s personal knight. 217
  • Griffin Claws’ equipment — her troops are issued ebony military swords, crossbows, sabers, quality mounts, and double ordinary soldiers’ pay. 196 229

Relationships

  • Li Ang — Her teacher, political partner, and the person she is most determined to support; she believes he saved her twice and later accepts his plan for her to take the throne. 130 314
  • Godric — Her father and a former defender of White Deer Fortress; he worries for her safety but ultimately supports her military ambitions and rule. 84 206 347
  • Madam Philina — Her mother, who prefers Amy to live as a lady rather than a warrior; Philina’s death becomes a driving force behind Amy’s accession and war against Fieltzwe. 102 314
  • Andrew — Her brother, whose disappearance and later death at the hands of the Lion Knight Order deepen Amy’s hostility toward the order. 298 364
  • Sarah — Her close companion and recruiter for the Griffin Claws; Sarah helps Amy find female warriors and observes her increasing independence. 140 191 204
  • Baudess — A trusted battlefield commander and naval partner who serves beside Amy during the pirate-fleet deception campaign. 354 377 385
  • Alina — A trusted adviser during Amy’s rule; Amy values Alina’s intelligence, while Alina helps her navigate political and military crises. 342 347
  • Griffin Claws — Amy’s personally led female force, whose members treat her as their sole knight and follow her with strong obedience. 204 229

Story Role / Major Arcs

Defense of White Deer Fortress

Amy defends White Deer Fortress during the Bacchus threat, equipping herself as a crossbowwoman and placing faith in the “Goddess’s Kiss” ritual associated with her father’s victories. She witnesses Li Ang’s return under the griffin banner and later accompanies him in securing Seven Forks Fortress. 84 90 98

Long River Town Heresy Frame-Up

Amy enters Long River Town’s inner keep to investigate Madam Bella, encountering Bella’s madness, female guards, and signs of heretical activity. Forster subsequently traps Amy and Kloze inside the keep, frames them as heretics, and uses the incident to pursue control of Long River Town. Li Ang frees her by coercing Forster. 107 110 112

Development into a Female Lord

Amy learns agricultural practices from Dean, develops into a gifted musketeer, and leads the nearly bloodless capture of Shield Wind Fortress. She later forms the Griffin Claws at Eagle Claw Fortress, outwardly called the “New Falcon Claws,” drawing on Countess Valera’s legacy to recruit female soldiers. 140 164 204

By the time she returns to White Deer Fortress, Amy commands roughly four hundred female retainers. She limits recruitment to preserve one-on-one training standards and offers meritorious women knightly enfeoffment documents. 217 229

Vulpine Town Conspiracy

While collecting debts in Talboa and Vulpine Town, Amy is identified by heretics as the “Dark Goddess.” She orders the death of Lyans to stop a Fallen One-summoning ritual, but Prince Alanric’s death and Baron Leovann’s slaughter are used to frame her for murder and heresy. 297 298

Amy and the Griffin Claws fight the Lion Knight Order and Lion Lake City’s forces in Vulpine Town, losing nearly one hundred soldiers before being trapped inside a manor. Godric reaches her with reinforcements, but becomes trapped as well. 299

Regent Princess and Queen of Lionheart

After Philina’s death and King Ulrich’s demise, Li Ang persuades Amy that becoming only a Princess Knight will leave their enemies in control. Amy accepts the regency, declares war on Fieltzwe, and promises ducal titles to nobles who avenge Ulrich and destroy Brennus. 314

Amy formally becomes Queen Amy Sonade, the first Queen of the Lionheart Kingdom. She takes the Silver Throne and appoints Li Ang Grand Duke of Long River Town and Marshal of the army. 315 320

Rule During Li Ang’s Disappearance

Li Ang’s disappearance destabilizes Amy’s kingdom and prompts her to conscript troops and laborers for a massive search. With Lion City under pressure from multiple enemies, she eventually chooses to abandon the city, taking all willing civilians to Long River Town. 341 342 347

Amy works to prevent Pande Bank’s collapse, maintain the army, resettle refugees, and suppress disruptive nobles. Her increasingly severe rule earns her the labels “tyrant” and “butcher.” 351

Abdication and the Pirate Fleet Campaign

Amy abdicates after Lion City falls under demonic occupation, accepting responsibility for failing to protect it. She later joins Baudess and Jocelyn in a disguised pirate operation, using captured Raven warships to sail across Lion Lake. 362 377

Posing as Queen Ursula, Amy manipulates Longsong Port, Gregory IV, and Fieltzwe’s Lord Hakon. She trades twenty warships to provoke Fieltzwe’s attack on Raven City, forcing Fieltzwe to withdraw from Lion City and creating a new conflict that serves her wider strategic goals. 385 386

Trivia

  • Amy cannot sing on key, dance well, cook, use cosmetics, or comfortably wear a corset; she also dislikes keeping maids because she finds them troublesome. 140
  • Her remarkable success and marksmanship lead Li Ang to speculate that, if a Luck stat existed, Amy’s would be maximized. 164
  • Her Griffin Claws are officially named Griffin Claws, while New Falcon Claws is the public-facing name used to recruit through Countess Valera’s legacy. 204
  • Her royal coronation was deliberately unconventional: she retained the surname Sonade rather than taking Philina’s Alfred surname, and Li Ang crowned her instead of a priest of the Goddess of Order. 320
