• Shen Jin left the Tier 3 Hybrid Variant's Energy Crystal Core to Hu Shou and thought about cooperating with the Heavenly Net to help complete his World Line quest.
• Shang Qian suggested recruiting Lu Daizhen, and Shen Jin explained the loyalty-focused methods he and Shang Qian and Yang Ao had chosen for selecting future Superhumans.
• Shen Jin and his companions approached Lu Daizhen and Mi Xiaoli after the Daoist's Golden Light Formation dispersed.

• Liu Dalao and Su Lele entered Home No. 1, where he saw its busy factories, services, and cheerful residents and decided he could not bring himself to destroy the settlement.
• He Xiao and Xiao Sheng showed Liu Dalao around, and Liu Huayuan invited him to play mahjong; Liu Dalao spent three hours playing before remembering his plan for revenge.
• Yang Ao mistook Liu Dalao for a newcomer seeking him out and arranged lodging and water for him through Old Wang.
• Liu Dalao left Su Lele at their room and went to the villa to find Shen Jin, but he noticed a gravestone in the backyard before climbing the wall.

• Shen Jin and the settlement leaders agreed to fight the zombie horde on the road, while Lu Daizhen worried about the odds and Zhu Dan joined Shen Jin in their resolve.
• Shen Jin asked the Heavenly Net for detailed satellite images and persuaded Shi Lai to provide remote support for the battle.

Heavenly Net approved plans to make Home No. 1 its Q City branch, while Shen Jin's people recovered a huge haul of energy cores and Sun Can received a mysterious instruction not to reveal the truth.

• Shen Jin questioned Sun Can about the New World game and whether he had a system, but Sun Can said he had come to kill zombies and seemed unaware of any connection between them.
• Shen Jin concluded that he might be the only person with a system as Sun Can left, and the zombie crisis at Home No. 1 ended just before the New Year.
