Shen Jin defeated the Southern Faction’s forces, reunited with his friends, and strengthened his settlement as zombies approached their next evolution. He left the newly expanded squads preparing to clear Q City and planned to return to D City for Zhu Dan.

• Shen Jin helped Zhao Laoda defeat the Southern Faction’s attackers, then cleared out its abusive territory and built homes for Ancestor Mountain’s survivors.
• Shen Jin returned to his villa, reunited with Li Moxiao, Yang Ao, and Fu Wei, and learned that Sun Can had rescued them from the Zombie Horde.
• After the Heavenly Net warned that all zombies would evolve within a month, Shen Jin recruited former coworkers, expanded his base, and discovered that Tier 2 Senzu Beans healed serious injuries without the wounded developing infections.
• Shen Jin encountered Li Zhe among the survivors and gave him a controlled awakening potion, which awakened Li Zhe’s aberrant form ability.
• Shen Jin strengthened his squad leaders with enhancement potions, Energy Serum, compressed food, and Energy Bombs, then recruited forty men through the same controlled awakening potion.
• The forty recruits awakened their abilities and joined Superhuman Squads Two through Five, while Shen Jin discussed Gene Optimization Serum with Fu Wei and planned a trip to D City for Zhu Dan.

Shen Jin expanded Home No. 1, organized its defenses, and led the fight against a Brood Nest Zombie while trying to find a way to change the world. The Heavenly Net revealed that another wave of zombie evolution was expected in six months, and Shang Qian began organizing public enterprises and recruitment.

• Shen Jin returned from D City, established Home No. 1 with Shang Qian, Yang Ao, and Li Moxiao, and began a major push to grow the base.
• He Xiao and the rescued students arrived at Home No. 1, where Shen Jin restored electricity across much of Q City and later established a hospital and expanded Fu Wei’s laboratory.
• Fu Wei produced 307 bottles of Gene Optimization Serum 1.0, and Shang Qian set rules and a price for distribution as strengthened survivors began scavenging.
• Shen Jin concluded that the system’s missions were pushing him to save humanity, then Yang Ao helped him accept that he did not have to bear that burden alone.
• Shen Jin formed Qi Tong’s Dark Night Angel Squad to clear zombies at night, while tensions over Xing Lingmin’s attention to Shen Jin strained her relationship with Li Zhe and Li Moxiao.
• Shen Jin and the squads defeated a Brood Nest Zombie at Willow Village Residential Complex, rescued 65 men, and recruited them into Yang Ao’s unit as awakened Superhumans.
• Shen Jin discovered that the first genetic time lock had triggered the zombies’ evolution, and the Heavenly Net warned that another would likely create Tier 1 Evolved Zombies worldwide in 180 days.
• As survivors worried about the coming threat, Shang Qian organized interviews and recruitment for publicly run enterprises and work crews.

Shen Jin consolidated Home No. 1, exposed a rebellion, and supplied Energy Serum and advanced equipment to other bases. He joined Hu Shou’s fight against a Tier 3 Hybrid Variant Zombie, whose death revealed a second, red-haired zombie, while masked visitors arrived at Home No. 1.

• Shang Qian assigned survivors to new workplaces as Fan Jia and Li Zhe secretly plotted to seize control of the base.
• Fan Jia and fourteen Unusual Form Special Ability Users attacked Shen Jin, but Li Zhe and the captains exposed and defeated the plot, and the survivors celebrated Yang Ao’s birthday.
• Shen Jin and Shang Qian visited Red Water Bay Base, where Shen Jin distributed Energy Serum, punished abusive superhumans, and negotiated with Hu Shou and Xia Anbang for materials and a fight against a Tier 3 zombie.
• Shen Jin brought his Tier 2-capable force to D City, where Hu Shou and the gathered fighters attacked the Hybrid Variant Zombie.
• Shen Jin compressed a Water-Air Bullet and launched it into the zombie’s exposed head, but a red-haired zombie emerged from its body and attacked the group.
• Hu Shou reappeared around the red-haired zombie, struck four times, and removed its crystal core, killing the Hybrid Variant Zombie.
• Fu Wei completed Gene Optimization Serum 2.0, Shi Lai called Old Wang about a settlement near Q City, and two masked figures entered Home No. 1.

Shen Jin led Home No. 1 through the destruction of a massive zombie horde, joined the Heavenly Net, and used Tinkers' Construct equipment to arm and equip his people. After the New Year, he began expanding the settlement and received a satellite system and intelligence about dangerous new zombie variants.

• Shen Jin gathered allies to recruit Lu Daizhen and Mi Xiaoli, then returned to Q City after learning a 200,000-strong zombie horde was approaching.
• Shen Jin and his forces repeatedly blasted the horde as it advanced, then defeated the remaining zombies at Haishan Pass while Sun Can killed the Z Zombie commander.
• Shen Jin agreed to make Home No. 1 a Heavenly Net branch, completing his beginner quests and unlocking Tinkers' Construct.
• Shen Jin crafted Traveler's equipment, Tinkers' Construct weapons, and steel armor, while Shang Qian organized their distribution and developed plans for currency and settlement growth.
• As residents celebrated the New Year, Shen Jin gave Shang Qian an enhancement potion and called Hu Shou to offer three thousand Awakening Potions in exchange for supplies and intelligence.
• Shen Jin disabled the Traveler's Gloves' ability to damage or place blocks inside Home No. 1, then assigned teams to gather materials and extend the settlement's walls.
• Shen Jin received a military satellite system and five Tier 2 Energy Crystal Cores, while Xiao Bing reported on a teleporting Aberrant Variant Zombie and a dangerous Desire-type zombie.
