Arc 25The Nether Tier Four Trial

As Zombie Tyrants spread across China, Shen Jin and Home No. 1 evacuated survivors and captured a Tyrant while investigating the Nether’s power. Sun Can advanced to Tier 4 in the Nether but remained trapped by his inner demon, leaving Shen Jin fighting him as the realm began to tremble.

  • Hu Shou traveled to Russia to confront a newly advanced superhuman who had transformed into a blood-eyed creature, while Shen Jin equipped him with an upgraded alloy scimitar and a GraviSuite.
  • Heavenly Net launched a nationwide offensive against zombie hordes as Home No. 1 expanded its supply network, aided Korea with grain, and helped other bases evacuate survivors.
  • The Wallfacers suspected ancient Tier 5 Superhumans were manipulating events, while powerful Zombie Tyrants appeared worldwide and threatened human settlements.
  • Shen Jin and his allies helped Hu Shou capture the Zhengzhou Zombie Tyrant, then evacuated hundreds of thousands of survivors and sent Home No. 1 forces to fight the surrounding horde.
  • Shen Jin, Sun Can, Hu Shou, and their allies entered the Nether, where Sun Can drew on its fire energy and tamed a Core Dweller as a mount.
  • Sun Can advanced to Tier 4 in the Nether after eating an Invincible Body Fruit, but Hu Shou realized his inner demon still controlled him and Sun Can attacked Shen Jin and the others.
  • Shang Qian and the others retreated to Earth while Shen Jin fought Sun Can with his GraviSuite, formations, abilities, and summons, then entered Sun Can’s mind and was gravely injured when expelled.
Chapters 632–657 Vol. 7 Read

Ch. 632The Black Bear Organization's Mutation

Shen Jin and Sun Can destroyed a university and defeated an Aberrant Variant Zombie before resting as the Heavenly Net prepared a nationwide counterattack. In Russia, a Black Bear Organization leader’s attempted advancement to Tier 4 turned him into a blood-eyed, white-haired monster who killed his bonded bear and threatened the gathered spectators.

  • Shen Jin and Sun Can used Lightning Time to devastate the university, then entered the fissure and killed the hidden Aberrant Variant Zombie.
  • After resting, Shen Jin ordered Sun Li to train the Super Squad while he and Sun Can cultivated for two weeks.
  • Home No. 1 equipped Heavenly Net Superhumans across China, and Chu Xu’s tactics guide prepared regional branches for a nationwide offensive against Zombie Hordes.
  • Hu Shou traveled across China and used his Tier 4 power to eliminate dangerous individual zombies, while research into ancient humanity remained stalled.
  • In Russia, a Black Bear Organization leader and his bonded bear began advancing toward Tier 4 as the organization’s senior members watched.
  • The leader transformed into a blood-eyed, white-haired creature, killed Xiao An with one punch, and turned toward the spectators with a chilling grin.

Ch. 633Hu Shou Asked for Equipment, Support for the Black Bear Organization

After a Tier 4 superhuman went berserk at the Black Bear Organization, Hu Shou learned that advancing to Tier 4 could trigger an alien bloodline curse and set out to stop the danger. Shen Jin gave Hu Shou a GraviSuite and summoned Li Zhe to provide him with a stronger weapon.

  • The Black Bear Organization reported that its newly advanced Tier 4 superhuman had gone mad, and the world's superhuman organizations called an emergency meeting.
  • Liu Shicai shared the ancient recordings, which warned that special ability users could suffer an alien bloodline curse when advancing; Hu Shou said gene lock users faced the same danger and agreed to go to Russia.
  • Hu Shou told Shen Jin and Sun Can that the rogue Tier 4 might be stronger than him, and Shen Jin gave him a fully charged GraviSuite for protection and mobility.
  • Hu Shou asked to use Shen Jin's [Teleporter] to reach the Black Bear Organization, and Shen Jin offered him a newly upgraded weapon instead of his own Broadblade Sword.
  • Shen Jin called Li Zhe from J Province and asked whether his scimitar had reached a high level.

Ch. 634Home No. 1's supply stations

Heavenly Net began a nationwide offensive against zombie hordes using new equipment, while Home No. 1 expanded its locust plan and built supply stations to support civilian superhumans. The chapter ended with transport routes and safe stations spreading Home No. 1’s influence and bringing new people to its base.

  • Hu Shou left with the nearly max-level alloy Scimitar, and Li Zhe cried over his inability to train eight weapons with his eight hands.
  • Chu Xu and the other Wallfacers discussed Heavenly Net’s new equipment, its dependence on Home No. 1’s Spatial Teleportation, and the risks of fighting without it.
  • Heavenly Net launched a nationwide offensive, sending superhuman soldiers to attack smaller zombie hordes with Laser Cannons.
  • Yang Ao led Home No. 1 forces into S Province while Meng San led the same-sized force into J Province, as H Province and L Province continued clearing stragglers.
  • Shang Qian organized supply stations with equipment repair, medical care, food, lodging, storage, and transport services for civilian superhumans.
  • Home No. 1’s transport routes and supply stations spread through nearby provinces, while people from other official bases traveled to Home No. 1.

Ch. 635Korea's Plea for Aid

Shang Qian heard Korea’s desperate request for aid and agreed to send food while reserving other assistance for discussion with Shen Jin. Home No. 1’s black-armored team arrived at a Korean base within twenty minutes, leaving Kim Seok-hyeon astonished by their speed and backpack-stored supplies.

  • Shang Qian approved a recruitment benefits plan as Home No. 1 worked to attract survivors from H and L Provinces.
  • Kim Seok-hyeon contacted Shang Qian to request aid for Korea, and she rebuked him when he questioned why Shen Jin was not speaking with him.
  • Kim Seok-hyeon requested food, equipment, Superhuman Potions, and help building a defensive wall, offering Korea’s land in return.
  • Shang Qian agreed to provide food as humanitarian aid but said she would discuss other requests with Shen Jin and asked Korea to propose better terms.
  • Shang Qian dispatched Liu Jin and black-armored warriors with food, and they reached Korea’s base in twenty minutes.
  • Liu Jin asked where to unload the supplies, and Kim Seok-hyeon was surprised to learn they had carried the food in their backpacks.

Ch. 636But it really smelled delicious...

Liu Jin delivered 100,000 tons of grain and 20 canned meals from Home No. 1 to Korea, while the Korean leader and Kim Seok-hyeon struggled between feeling insulted and enjoying the food. Meanwhile, Heavenly Net began a nationwide assault on zombie hordes, and Sheep City’s 6,000 warriors opened their attack on 500,000 zombies by swiftly eliminating their flying forces.

  • Liu Jin distributed 100,000 tons of grain among Korea’s three bases and obtained the leader’s IOU before departing.
  • The Korean leader and Kim Seok-hyeon discussed the aid, then Liu Jin returned with 20 hot canned meals as an apology, and the two divided them despite their indignation.
  • Three million Heavenly Net warriors launched attacks on zombie hordes across China.
  • Sheep City’s 6,000 warriors attacked a horde of 500,000 zombies, using a Gravity Formation to trap and kill its Flying Zombies.
  • Sheep City’s warriors fired plasma shells and crossbow bolts into the horde, wiping out its aerial forces without casualties.

Ch. 637Deductions About Ancient Tier 5 Superhumans

As the Heavenly Net’s campaign killed more than 100 million zombies, the Wallfacers debated whether ancient tier 5 Superhumans had caused the world’s changes and were still hiding on Earth. Their deductions led them to suspect the surviving Superhumans were secretly buying vast quantities of energy crystal cores to regain their strength.

  • The Heavenly Net used mobile attacks to exhaust zombie hordes, and one week into the campaign it had eliminated more than 100 million zombies.
  • Liu Shicai argued that zombies could not reach tier 4 because they lacked intelligence, while the Wallfacers discussed whether the world’s original rules would return after the zombies were wiped out.
  • Wallfacer No. 2 proposed that ancient humans might still be alive, and No. 3 deduced that tier 5 Superhumans had survived a catastrophic war and were manipulating events to restore their power.
  • No. 3 waited to see whether the hidden Superhumans would erase him for revealing their existence, but nothing happened.
  • Chu Xu explained that No. 3 had been testing whether his deduction could trigger an erasure, then asked No. 2 to identify where the tier 5 Superhumans might be hiding.
  • No. 2 concluded that the ancient Superhumans would need enormous quantities of energy crystal cores and suggested searching for anyone buying them without limit.

Ch. 638Suspicion, strategy

The Heavenly Net’s Wallfacers suspected that Home No. 1 and Shen Jin were ancient Tier 5 Superhumans hiding their origins, so Chu Xu ordered them to quietly investigate while continuing to buy weapons and withholding Energy Crystal Cores. Meanwhile, Shen Jin and Sun Can fought together in B City until two newcomers arrived.

  • No. 3 argued that Home No. 1’s advanced technology and stockpiling of high-tier Energy Crystal Cores pointed to ancient Tier 5 Superhumans recovering their power, while No. 7 cautioned that the theory remained unverified.
  • The Wallfacers debated confronting Home No. 1, and Chu Xu ordered them to keep their suspicions secret and wait for Hu Shou to investigate in person.
  • Chu Xu directed the Heavenly Net to stockpile Energy Crystal Cores, delay deliveries to Home No. 1, and continue importing Laser Guns while clearing zombie hordes; he also rejected keeping any zombies alive for their cores.
  • Shang Qian noticed the Wallfacers visiting Home No. 1 more often but did not suspect their motives, while the Heavenly Net’s delayed core deliveries went unnoticed.
  • In B City, Shen Jin and Sun Can fought side by side, discussing the missing sword-system holder as their strength and teamwork grew.
  • Shen Jin spotted a giant roc and a jet-propelled figure approaching and welcomed their arrival.

Ch. 639Hu Shou's pursuit

Shen Jin reunited with Zhu Dan, Bao Gechuan, the Daoist, and Li Moxuan in B City, where they discussed their progress and the danger of advancing to Tier 4. Meanwhile, Hu Shou continued pursuing Russia’s mad Tier 4 Superhuman, and the chapter ended as he struck at an energy flicker beneath the ice.

  • Shen Jin gathered the allied Superhumans in B City to train against powerful Tier 3 Aberrant Variant Zombies, and they shared their cultivation progress.
  • Bao Gechuan explained how his ability let him communicate with and strengthen the Giant Eagle, while the Daoist described inheriting Daoist arts from an ancient whisk.
  • Shen Jin told the group about the Tier 4 Alien Curse and ancient humanity, prompting them to worry about the danger facing Shen Jin and Sun Can as they neared Tier 4.
  • Li Moxuan asked after Hu Shou, and Shen Jin said he would contact him while Hu Shou was pursuing Russia’s mad Tier 4 Superhuman on Beisian Island.
  • Hu Shou saw his equipment running low on power, spotted energy beneath the ice, and slashed toward it with his alloy scimitar.

Ch. 640Tier 4 Apeman

Hu Shou fought a Tier 4 apeman whose alien transformation had erased his human behavior, but the apeman survived Hu Shou’s strongest attack and countered when Hu Shou’s armor ran out of power. Shen Jin and the others arrived to help contain him, and the chapter ended as the Daoist completed a powerful formation.

  • Hu Shou battled the apeman with his alloy scimitar, then activated Hidden Dragon Transformation and battered him through an iceberg and into the deep sea.
  • The apeman survived, burned through his life to unleash greater power, and knocked Hu Shou away after Hu Shou’s GraviSuite ran out of charge.
  • Shen Jin, Sun Can, Zhu Dan, the Daoist, Bao Gechuan, and Li Moxuan teleported in, and Shen Jin and the Daoist began trapping the apeman with a water barrier and formation.
  • Zhu Dan and Li Moxuan attacked the apeman, while Sun Can used Dreamscape: Lightning Punishment and a giant axe strike to knock him into the ice.
  • Hu Shou explained that the apeman would exhaust himself by burning through his life, and the Daoist completed the All-Heaven Blazing Fire Immortal Formation.

Ch. 641Changes in the zombies

Shen Jin and his allies subdued a transformed Tier 4 Russian superhuman, then discovered that B City's zombies had gathered in the southeast under an unknown leader. Suspecting a Tier 4 Z Zombie, they equipped themselves and flew to investigate.

  • The Daoist used the All-Heaven Blazing Fire Immortal Formation to trap the ape-man, and Sun Can helped restrain him until he lost consciousness.
  • Hu Shou identified the ape-man as a Russian transformation-type superhuman and took him to Heavenly Net Headquarters for study; Shen Jin teleported them there.
  • Shen Jin and the others returned to B City and resumed clearing zombies, but they found fewer and weaker zombies than usual and could not locate the dangerous aberrations.
  • Shen Jin received satellite data showing that B City's zombies had gathered in the southeast, prompting the group to suspect a Tier 4 Z Zombie was commanding them.
  • Shen Jin gave his allies Spatial Locators and Quantum Armor, and they flew toward the gathering while preparing for a ten-million-strong zombie horde.

Ch. 642A sudden turn of events!

Shen Jin and the others scouted B City's ten-million-strong zombie horde and discovered a terrifying presence that appeared to be a Tier 4 zombie. After a long-range attack nearly killed them, they learned the horde was heading toward H Province and that powerful zombies had emerged elsewhere as well.

  • Shen Jin, Sun Can, and their forces flew over B City and asked Clairvoyance to identify the horde's strongest zombie.
  • Clairvoyance spotted eighteen powerful zombies and a blood-mist-shrouded energy presence stronger than Commander Hu, then suffered a backlash.
  • Shen Jin sensed danger and teleported everyone away just before a beam from the horde exploded where they had been.
  • Bai Hang collapsed after his Luck Aura showed him a skull and an aura of death; Shen Jin concluded his ability had delayed the attack and helped everyone escape.
  • An official warned Shen Jin that the horde was expected to enter H Province the next day, and Chu Xu reported that powerful individual zombies had appeared elsewhere too.

Ch. 643Who Were the Players, and Who Were the Pieces?

Shen Jin learned that intelligent Tier 4 Zombie Tyrants had appeared through spatial rifts and led Heavenly Net to suspect a hidden force was directing the zombies. As the Wallfacers debated whether Shen Jin was connected to a Tier 5 Superhuman, Chu Xu proposed that more than one player might be involved, leaving the true forces behind the crisis unknown.

  • Chu Xu told Shen Jin that Zombie Tyrants had appeared across the world, wielding Tier 4 strength and commanding huge zombie hordes, and Shen Jin recalled how abruptly the zombie virus had spread.
  • Shen Jin ordered Yang Ao and Meng San to halt their operations in S Province and J Province and return to Home No. 1 after confirming they had not encountered any Zombie Tyrants.
  • Chu Xu reported that a Zombie Tyrant had emerged from a spatial rift in Shanghai City and killed nearly two thousand members of a human force, leading him to suspect an intelligent being was behind the zombies.
  • Shen Jin and Sun Can wondered whether they were pieces in a larger plan, while the Wallfacers secretly scrutinized Shen Jin for signs that he was a Tier 5 Superhuman or an unwitting puppet.
  • After Shen Jin's call ended, the Wallfacers argued over whether to investigate him or unite against the Zombie Tyrants, and Chu Xu concluded that the Tyrants' arrival suggested there might be other players in the conflict.

Ch. 644Emergency rescue

Shen Jin mobilized Home No. 1 to rescue Zhengzhou’s survivors after a Zombie Tyrant led an eight-million-strong horde toward the city. The evacuation through Ark No. 1 began successfully, while Shen Jin left to inspect the approaching Tyrant.

  • Wallfacers No. 9 and No. 10 told Shen Jin that the Zhengzhou base faced an imminent attack and requested Home No. 1’s help activating the Ark Project.
  • Shen Jin ordered Yang Ao to lead the Zombie Slaying Squad to Zhengzhou, while Zhu Dan, Sun Can, Sun Li, and Shang Qian organized support and civilian evacuations.
  • Yang Ao and three thousand soldiers arrived at the Zhengzhou base, set up additional teleportation points, and restored order among the panicked survivors.
  • Home No. 1 began teleporting Zhengzhou’s civilians to Ark No. 1 as logistics personnel guided arrivals away from the portals.
  • Shen Jin left Wallfacers No. 9 and No. 10 to oversee the evacuation and went to observe the Zombie Tyrant.

Ch. 645First Contact with the Zombie Tyrant

Shen Jin and the others used Sun Can’s summons to draw out and locate the Zombie Tyrant among the merged zombie hordes outside Zhengzhou. After assessing its devastating attack and possible intelligence, they chose to retreat to Home No. 1 Headquarters, where 500,000 Zhengzhou survivors awaited resettlement.

  • The Daoist hid Shen Jin, Sun Can, Zhu Dan, Sun Li, and the Super Squad in a Divine Concealment Formation as they searched the eight-million-strong horde for the Zombie Tyrant.
  • Sun Can summoned and buffed ten Tier 3 Vampires, which attacked the horde to provoke the Zombie Tyrant into revealing itself.
  • The Zombie Tyrant fired a powerful energy beam that killed all ten Vampires, then exposed its blood-red body among the zombies.
  • Sun Can and the others analyzed the Tyrant’s attacks, while Shen Jin warned that its apparent dependence on zombie energy might conceal greater abilities.
  • Shen Jin decided the group should avoid fighting until Hu Shou recovered, and they returned to Home No. 1 Headquarters, where 500,000 Zhengzhou survivors awaited resettlement.

Ch. 646Good News and Bad News

Shen Jin and Home No. 1 evacuated survivors from Zhengzhou and Chengdu as Zombie Tyrants threatened settlements across China. Hu Shou brought research showing Special Ability Users could reach Tier 4, but faced a much more dangerous alien inner demon, leaving Shen Jin questioning whether it was a mental attack.

  • Shen Jin and Wallfacers No. 9 and No. 10 evacuated 500,000 survivors from Zhengzhou to Ark No. 1, where Shang Qian organized housing and supplies and considered recruiting them to stay.
  • Shen Jin and the Wallfacers discussed how Zombie Tyrants could lead hordes across China and agreed that Home No. 1 needed a way to fight them, though they lacked enough Tier 4 Superhumans.
  • Home No. 1 opened Ark No. 2 for 800,000 survivors from Chengdu, while Yang Ao moved grain from both cities into storage.
  • Hu Shou gave Shen Jin and Sun Can the research findings: Special Ability Users could advance to Tier 4, but had to face powerful alien inner demons alone, and the Russian test subject had lost his identity to an alien.
  • Shen Jin asked Hu Shou whether inner demons were a kind of mental attack.

Ch. 647A complicated world situation

Shen Jin and Sun Can prepared to advance to Tier 4 by fighting the Zombie Tyrant in Zhengzhou, while Shen Jin redirected Home No. 1 Base’s vast power and production toward combat preparations. Zombie Tyrants threatened human settlements around the world, and Liu Dalao saw a chance to cure Lele after discovering that Tier 4 zombies could gain intelligence.

  • Shen Jin reasoned that the Invincible Body fruit could protect Sun Can from the mental attacks involved in advancing to Tier 4, and they agreed to challenge the Zombie Tyrant with Hu Shou’s help.
  • Shen Jin reviewed Home No. 1 Base’s power supply, redirected most electricity toward iridium and quantum armor production, and ordered more city defenses and special blocks.
  • Shen Jin, Hu Shou, and thousands of fighters teleported to Zhengzhou City to face the Zombie Tyrant and its eight-million-zombie horde.
  • Zombie Tyrants disrupted human campaigns across the world, forcing Russia, China, Japan, and the United States to confront new threats and resume plans for Tier 4 advancement.
  • Liu Dalao watched his three-million-zombie fusion entity circle above Shanghai’s horde and vowed to cure Lele after concluding that Tier 4 zombies could become intelligent.

Ch. 648An Initial Exploration of the Flame World

Shen Jin and his group used Sun Can’s summoning ability to send Hu Shou briefly into another world and learned that it was a dangerous realm of flames whose energy seemed connected to Sun Can’s powers. They returned from the probe with a way to repeat their expeditions, while Shen Jin considered creating a stable passage between the worlds.

  • Shen Jin, Hu Shou, and Sun Can discussed the Zombie Tyrant’s origins and realized Sun Can’s summoned Core Dweller might provide access to another world.
  • The Daoist stabilized the area with his formation, Zhu Dan used the Space Stone to slow the portal’s closure, and Shen Jin prepared to rescue Hu Shou as Sun Can summoned the Core Dweller.
  • Hu Shou entered the portal, explored the other world, and returned at the last moment after Shen Jin found him with telekinesis.
  • Hu Shou described a fiery realm filled with extreme heat, toxic gas, and hostile creatures, and said Sun Can’s powers felt connected to its flames.
  • Shen Jin suspected Sun Can’s buffs drew energy from the other world, and the group concluded they could repeat their brief explorations and might eventually create a stable passage.

Ch. 649Psychic illusion: Please step into the trap

Shen Jin and his allies used a psychic illusion and Mimic’s transformation to lure the Zombie Tyrant into a hidden black-box trap. The illusion ended with Hu Shou confronting the trapped Zombie Tyrant, while the Zombie Slaying Squad prepared to attack.

  • Shen Jin and the others followed the resting Zombie Horde and agreed to capture the Zombie Tyrant alive for study.
  • The Zombie Slaying Squad secretly built a black-box cage while Shen Jin’s group watched the Zombie Tyrant eat an eagle and reject a hungry L3 Zombie.
  • Sun Li’s seven psychic Special Ability Users joined forces to conceal Mimic’s deception, and Mimic transformed into a convincing Tier 4 Zombie Tyrant.
  • Mimic approached the Zombie Tyrant, led it away from the horde, and guided it into the black-box cage after sharing the eagle it had shot down.
  • Mimic escaped through a hidden passage, the psychic illusion ended, and Hu Shou appeared before the trapped Zombie Tyrant with a golden sword.

Ch. 650Battle against the Zombie Tyrant!

Hu Shou, Shen Jin, and Sun Can battled the Zombie Tyrant inside a reinforced black-box prison, but the Tyrant transformed and overwhelmed their attacks. As the Super Squad arrived to protect Shen Jin, an unknown fighter stepped forward to face it.

  • The Daoist concealed the black-box prison while Hu Shou fought the trapped Zombie Tyrant, whose shield blocked his ranged sword strikes.
  • Hu Shou used Hidden Dragon Transformation to wound the Tyrant, then detonated the Metal Elemental sword to deliver a devastating blast before retreating and calling for help.
  • Shen Jin and Sun Can joined the fight with buffed Metal Elemental greatswords, but their attacks failed to pierce the Tyrant's new black crystal armor.
  • The Zombie Tyrant transformed, sent Sun Can flying, and crippled the Core Dweller with a staff strike.
  • The Tyrant turned toward Shen Jin as the Super Squad descended, and an unknown fighter stepped in front of Shen Jin and offered to fight.

Ch. 651The untranslatable zombie language

Xiang Yuchen unleashed the power he had stored with Hold the Line and helped Shen Jin and Sun Can defeat and capture the Zombie Tyrant. At Heavenly Net Main Base, Hu Shou argued that the zombies belonged to a different faction from the Ancient Superhumans because the Zombie Tyrant spoke an untranslatable language, while the Wallfacers continued to speculate about Shen Jin and Sun Can.

  • Xiang Yuchen struck the Zombie Tyrant with overwhelming strength, then joined Shen Jin and Sun Can in beating it until Hu Shou trapped it with Energy Lock.
  • Shen Jin failed to understand the Zombie Tyrant's speech after drinking Translation Potion, and Hu Shou suspected the zombies used a language distinct from the Ancient Superhumans'.
  • Yang Ao told Shen Jin that eight million zombies had surrounded the black box, so the group fought them back and teleported away with the captured Zombie Tyrant.
  • Hu Shou brought the Zombie Tyrant to Heavenly Net Main Base and told the Wallfacers that an unknown member of Home No. 1 had defeated it.
  • Hu Shou concluded that the Zombie Tyrants were likely not created by Ancient Tier 5 Superhumans, and said Shen Jin was a partner of the Heavenly Net.
  • Liu Shicai wondered whether Shen Jin and Sun Can were reincarnated Ancient Tier 5 Superhumans carrying out tasks left by their previous incarnations.

Ch. 652The recruitment craze

Old Wang launched a campaign to persuade Zhengzhou’s survivors to settle in Home No. 1, while Shen Jin offered Heavenly Net support to reclaim Zhengzhou from its zombie swarm. After the Zombie Tyrant’s capture, Home No. 1 reviewed the battle and considered how to defeat another one, as civilian Superhumans recruited Zhengzhou survivors with promises of housing and suspicious USB drives.

  • Home No. 1 fed the Zhengzhou survivors plentiful meals and eggs, and Old Wang arranged settlement allowances, housing, and commissions to recruit them as residents.
  • After Shen Jin’s group returned with news that Zhengzhou’s Zombie Tyrant had been captured, Zhengzhou’s Heavenly Net personnel asked to go home and eliminate the eight million zombies.
  • Shen Jin offered free use of Home No. 1’s teleportation and charging stations and sent the Zombie Slaying 2nd Regiment’s five thousand Superhumans to assist Heavenly Net.
  • Shen Jin, Yang Ao, and the others reviewed the battle and concluded that the Zombie Tyrant’s strength and regeneration made it difficult to defeat without Xiao Chen’s burst of power.
  • Sun Can laughed that continued fighting would produce another Tier 4 Superhuman, while civilian Superhumans coaxed Zhengzhou survivors into registering for residency with promises of houses and USB drives.

Ch. 653Into the Nether

After the Zhengzhou survivors chose to settle at Home No. 1, Shen Jin and his allies prepared for a Zombie Tyrant-led horde from B City and learned more about the Tyrants’ possible origins. Shen Jin then led Hu Shou and the others to a Nether portal, where Sun Can’s flame finally activated it.

  • Director Zhu discovered that most Zhengzhou survivors wanted to stay at Home No. 1, so he returned to Zhengzhou with only about a hundred thousand people.
  • Shen Jin and Shang Qian expanded the evacuation effort, while Wallfacers Nos. 9 and 10 helped defend Home No. 1 against an approaching ten-million-strong horde from B City.
  • Shen Jin and Sun Can failed to defeat a Zombie Tyrant in Y Province, but escaped without casualties.
  • Hu Shou told Shen Jin that Zombie Tyrants were intelligent beings closely related to the zombie virus and might be connected to ancient tier 5 superhumans.
  • Shen Jin brought Hu Shou, Sun Can, Zhu Dan, and Yang Ao to the Nether portal and tried to activate it, but Sun Can’s flame set it alight after Shen Jin’s attempt failed.

Ch. 654Exploring the Nether Dimension

Shen Jin led Sun Can, Shang Qian, Hu Shou, and the others through the Nether Portal to explore the Nether Dimension, where they discovered powerful fire energy and creatures unlike those on Earth. Sun Can’s abilities grew stronger there, and as the group explored on foot, he suddenly warned everyone to stay away from him.

  • Sun Can activated Shen Jin’s Nether Portal, and the group entered together with Shang Qian and Hu Shou.
  • The group arrived in a dangerous world of lava and red smoke, where their helmets warned of harmful conditions and Hu Shou confirmed the gravity was much stronger than Earth’s.
  • Sun Can used Earth Enchanting to draw in the Nether’s fire energy, strengthening the group; Shen Jin and Hu Shou found that absorbing the energy could improve their bodies, though it hurt.
  • Shen Jin collected Nether Stone, marked the portal’s location with his Mini-map and a Beacon, and led the group out to investigate the Nether’s creatures.
  • The group found that Sun Can’s Earth Enchanting made Nether creatures treat them as allies, and Sun Can tamed a Core Dweller as a mount.
  • While the group walked near lava, Sun Can realized something and shouted for everyone to stay away from him.

Ch. 656Tier 4, Tier 4!

Sun Can advanced to Tier 4 in the Nether after eating Shen Jin’s Invincible Body Fruit, but he remained trapped by his inner demon and went berserk. As Sun Can pursued Shen Jin and Shang Qian, Shen Jin urged her to escape through the portal while he stayed behind.

  • Sun Can began advancing in the Nether’s lava, and Shen Jin’s group set up a defensive formation while absorbing the area’s powerful fire energy.
  • Shen Jin bottled some of the Nether’s Fire Spirit Fluid, and Sun Can absorbed the energy as strange phenomena marked the arrival of his inner demon.
  • Sun Can ate a Compressed Invincible Body Fruit and appeared to overcome the inner demon, successfully reaching Tier 4 Fine Control.
  • Hu Shou realized Sun Can was still trapped by his inner demon as Sun Can’s eyes turned savage and he used his power to prevent Shang Qian from teleporting the group away.
  • Sun Can struck Hu Shou aside and chased Shen Jin and Shang Qian, while Shen Jin told Shang Qian to flee to Earth and dismantle the portal.

Ch. 657Fierce battle!

Shen Jin fought Sun Can with his GraviSuite, formations, fruits, and special abilities, but Sun Can repeatedly recovered from his attacks in the Nether. After Shen Jin failed to reach the alien consciousness inside Sun Can, he clung to his will to protect humanity, and the Nether began to tremble.

  • Shen Jin let Shang Qian and the others retreat, then equipped a new GraviSuite and fought Sun Can with Lightning Time and the Eight Trigrams Immortal-Slaying Formation.
  • Sun Can broke the formation and drew power from the lava, so Shen Jin consumed Energy Fruits and unleashed his special abilities, summons, and giant forms against him.
  • Sun Can raised a Flame Barrier and grew stronger, while Shen Jin’s summons attacked him and Shen Jin entered his mind to try to awaken him.
  • Sun Can’s consciousness expelled Shen Jin, leaving him gravely injured as his summons were driven back and his suit began automatically replenishing his energy.
  • Shen Jin refused to die before ending the apocalypse and protecting humanity, and the Nether began to tremble.
