He planned to expand Red Water Bay Base into southern Lükou District, gather survivors and supplies, and build a second combat squad, then assigned Zhao Chao and Shang Qian key roles in the base’s development.

• Shen Jin stored four kinds of special ability food in his inventory and realized he could save them for later use.
• Shen Jin tested the food’s effects on Liu Yang, who exhausted himself using several boosts but recovered after eating a Senzu Bean.

Back at Red Water Bay Base, Shen Jin, Zhao Chao, and Shang Qian finished planning the base’s military development, and Zhao Chao suggested a village to explore for strange zombies.

• Old Zhao briefed Hu Shou on the worsening zombie attacks and the progress of cold-weapons production and military superhuman development.
• Hu Shou revealed that a tier-two Earth-based Ability user from China had provided two Extractors, and Old Zhao approved efforts to support and recruit him without coercion.
• Old Zhao and Hu Shou discussed research, the Heavenly Net Superhuman Squad, zombie evolution, and deploying ability users in military units.
• Shen Jin, Zhao Chao, and Shang Qian spent the night planning Red Water Bay Base’s next steps, with Zhao Chao advising on military training and deployment.

Shen Jin led his team to Diao Family Village after hearing that its zombies were eating one another, fearing they might evolve into a powerful threat. At the village entrance, Liu Yang fought a Bloated Zombie while the group watched for its abilities, and Zhao Chao spotted another creature emerging from the darkness.

• Zhao Chao told Shen Jin that survivors from Diao Family Village had seen zombies feeding on one another, and Shen Jin hurriedly assembled the team to investigate.
• Shen Jin warned the group about the danger of infection, and the thirteen survivors rode electric motorcycles toward the village, clearing zombies and obstacles along the way.
• At Diao Family Village, Zhao Chao spotted an enormous, unusually fat Evolved Zombie, so Shen Jin ordered Liu Yang to approach it while the others held back.
• Liu Yang exchanged heavy blows with the Bloated Zombie, whose thick flesh absorbed his punches and whose green pus appeared dangerous to anyone with an open wound.
• Zhao Chao spotted a red-haired figure leaping from beside a house and warned Liu Yang to watch out.

Shen Jin’s squad killed two mutated zombies using food-enhanced abilities, but a hidden spitter then attacked them with black insects. After Shen Jin’s carrots helped the squad burn the insects away, more mutated zombies emerged, and he ordered everyone to wipe them out within five minutes.

• A red-haired Harpy zombie attacked Liu Yang, while the bloated zombie charged the squad; Shen Jin gave Liu Yang a sausage and Zhao Chao a carrot to strengthen their abilities.
• Liu Yang transformed into a Stone Giant and crushed the bloated zombie, while Zhao Chao used fiery lasers to kill the Harpy zombie.
• The squad collected two green Mutant Energy Crystal Cores, but Shang Qian spotted black particles and teleported herself and Shen Jin out of their path.

Shen Jin’s squad wiped out the mutated zombies in Diao Family Village, then deduced that the dark, sunless village had driven zombies to evolve by eating one another. Shen Jin realized this cannibalistic evolution might create far stronger threats elsewhere, and began to recall another place with similar conditions.

• Shen Jin led the enhanced Zombie Slaying Squad in a five-minute assault, and the eleven Superhumans slaughtered the mutated zombies throughout Diao Family Village.
• After the battle, the squad searched the remains for Energy Crystal Cores while Shen Jin reviewed the squad members’ abilities and the zombies’ traits.
• Shen Jin, Shang Qian, and Zhao Chao concluded that the village’s zombies had eaten humans and then one another because the mountain and trees blocked direct sunlight.
• Shen Jin identified cannibalistic evolution as a second way zombies could evolve and feared it might produce a powerful Super Zombie elsewhere.
• Shen Jin decided not to call the Heavenly Net, then wondered where he had seen another enclosed, sunless place filled with zombies.

Shen Jin spoke with Zhu Dan, who asked about evil Superhumans so he could uphold justice, then helped his base collect food from Diao Family Village. With the village cleared and supplies secured, Red Water Bay Base entered a period of rapid development, and half a month passed.

• Zhu Dan called Shen Jin to ask for charging equipment and then asked whether any evil Superhumans nearby needed to be punished.
• Shen Jin dismissed Zhu Dan's talk of justice and an Infinity Gauntlet as worsening hero delusions.
• Zhao Chao reported that the Zombie Slaying Squad had recovered twenty-five green Energy Crystal Cores from the cleared site.
• Shen Jin made thirty Minecarts, and the group used them to transport abundant food from Diao Family Village to the base.
• Shen Jin and Shang Qian escorted the squad along the eastern mountain road, where they found no further aberrant zombies or M1 or L1-Type Zombies.

Sun Can reached level 10 and tested his upgraded fire powers and new summons after clearing the Haiwu Office Building. At Red Water Bay Base, Miao Shubai prepared breakfast and learned that the women were finishing their last day of work before assembling for training.

• Sun Can killed an M1 Zombie, reached level 10, and learned he could summon a Ghost and a stronger skeleton soldier.
• Sun Can used Sulfur Stone to coat his summons and their weapons with fire, then led them out of the cleared Haiwu Office Building.
• Miao Shubai prepared instant noodles for breakfast and read messages in the base's group chats.
• Miao Shubai sent Shen Jin her usual morning greeting and learned that the women would finish their final shift that day.
• Shang Qian told the Peacekeeping Team to assemble at the Training Ground at three that afternoon.

Miao Shubai and Zheng Ying delivered meals to the women in Outer Area Two, where Shen Jin had arranged counseling for five residents. The base’s livestock and food supplies supported its growing population, while the five women prepared to meet Shen Jin.

• Miao Shubai and the others gathered seafood, prepared breakfast, and sealed eleven meals for the Zombie Slaying Squad in a [Fluid/Solid Canning Machine].
• Miao Shubai read Shen Jin’s message asking her and Zheng Ying to bring five women to him for counseling after delivering the food.
• Miao Shubai and Zheng Ying transported rice to Outer Area Two by [Minecart] and checked that its lights and power equipment were working.
• Zheng Ying called the five women named for counseling, and they agreed to go with her and Miao Shubai after eating.

Half a month later, Shen Jin’s base had settled into daily routines of counseling, work, training, and recreation while its residents used fermentation machines to generate electricity. As Miao Shubai and others gathered for training, Shen Jin emerged from an underwater mining trip and hurried to join them, carrying supplies and ten Basic Special Ability Awakening Potions.

• Shen Jin gave five women suggestive counseling, while Miao Shubai escorted them and later explained that he had rejected a former girl-group member who tried to seduce him.
• Miao Shubai inspected the fermenters and generators in all three outer districts, confirming that the machines were clean and supplying electricity.
• Miao Shubai browsed the base group chat, played a phone game, and helped the other women prepare lunch as Shen Mengmeng and Mu Yan planned a performance to win Shen Jin over.

After drinking Shen Jin's potions, the women awakened their abilities, including Zheng Ying's freezing power and Miao Shubai's powerful force field, while Shen Mengmeng and Mu Yan plotted to win Shen Jin over.

• Shang Qian selected eight trusted women and two college students to join the new team, while Shen Mengmeng and Mu Yan stayed out.

• Shen Jin opened a Resource Gift Pack, then spent his last Tier 1 Energy Crystal Core to obtain and drink a Special Ability Enhancement Potion.
• The potion increased Shen Jin’s energy reserves and made his food transformations last one minute longer, so he decided not to give another potion to Shang Qian.
• Shen Jin wondered about using Obsidian to open a portal, then received a call from Zhu Dan, who had climbed over the wall and swung toward him on Webs.
• Zhu Dan told Shen Jin he wanted to use his powers like Spider-Man to protect people, then accepted the charger and study-materials hard drive Shen Jin offered.

Zhu Dan told Shen Jin why he wore a Rolex over his Spider-Man suit and shared his vow to protect the weak. After a night of friendship and seafood barbecue, Zhu Dan left Shen Jin with news that D City also had a diamond mine.

• Zhu Dan explained that his former girlfriend had left him for a wealthy man with a Rolex, and he had kept his watch in hopes of meeting her again.
• Zhu Dan vowed to protect the weak and praised Shen Jin for treating the people at his base with dignity.
• Shen Jin and Zhu Dan shared a seafood barbecue and drinks while talking about the apocalypse and Mu Yan.
• The next day, Zhu Dan told Shen Jin that D City had a diamond mine.

Shen Jin learned that a large diamond mine lay in Wafangdian and planned to reach it once he had a Jetpack. He sent the female soldiers out to gain combat experience, then received an unexpected call from the D City Government.

• Zhu Dan told Shen Jin that Wafangdian had Asia’s largest known diamond mine, located in Taiyang Subdistrict, and offered to help him reach it if he provided food.
• Shen Jin gave Zhu Dan a [Solar Helmet] as thanks, and Zhu Dan swung away from the settlement.
• Mu Yan and Shen Mengmeng lamented that their attempt to seduce Shen Jin had failed and planned to try again that night.

Shen Jin learned that a horde of up to seventy thousand zombies was heading for Red Water Bay and had three days to decide whether to evacuate to the D City Shelter Settlement. He struggled to abandon the base he had built, began considering a way to fight back, and then heard that the horde was coming.

• Xia Anbang told Shen Jin that the Government had put his [Extractor] to use and warned him that a growing Zombie Horde was moving toward Red Water Bay.
• Xia Anbang offered to evacuate Shen Jin and his people to the D City Shelter Settlement, while urging him to decide within two days.
• Shen Jin considered the Government's offer but found it difficult to leave his base and its supplies behind.
• Shen Jin assessed the threats posed by evolved zombies and realized his defenses lacked effective ways to attack ground targets.
• Shen Jin began to devise a possible counterattack, but a Spider-Man in a Solar Helmet and carrying a Charging Station leaped over the wall and shouted that the Zombie Horde was coming.

Shen Jin decided to defend Red Water Bay Base against the seventy-thousand-zombie tide instead of evacuating, while preparing a fallback plan for ordinary residents. He recruited Zhu Dan, Shang Qian, and Zhao Chao to help, then began planning the base’s defenses.

• Shen Jin told Zhu Dan he would evacuate ordinary people but stay and fight the zombie tide, and Zhu Dan agreed to help.
• Shen Jin explained that destroying the tide could clear much of Lükou District, and Zhu Dan revealed he could fight ten ordinary Tier 1 strength-type Superhumans at once.
• Shen Jin noted that he had stockpiled three hundred special ability foods to boost his team’s combat strength.

Shen Jin prepared Red Water Bay Base for a zombie horde by ordering an evacuation and arranging enchanted weapons. Zhu Dan discovered that Shen Jin’s Senzu Bean accelerated his energy recovery, then began enchanting a bow.

• Shen Jin, Zhao Chao, Shang Qian, and Zhu Dan planned their defenses around Shen Jin’s powerful [TNT].
• Shen Jin ordered Zhao Chao and Shang Qian to evacuate more than a thousand people to his escape point by the following evening.
• Shen Jin asked Zhu Dan to enchant ten [Bows] so strength-based Superhumans could attack at range, and Zhu Dan agreed.
• Shen Jin gave Zhu Dan a rocket launcher to enchant, and Zhu Dan used his energy to add [Energy Enhancement] to it.

Zhu Dan discovered that a Senzu Bean could erase the painful side effects of an Energy Crystal Core, allowing him to enchant weapons repeatedly. Shen Jin recruited him to help prepare for the growing zombie threat, and Zhu Dan eagerly agreed to their ambitious plan to clear seventy thousand zombies.

• Zhu Dan used up his energy enchanting five bows, then swallowed an Energy Crystal Core and a Senzu Bean restored him from its violent side effects.
• Shen Jin realized he could use the beans and crystal cores to let Zhu Dan enchant far more equipment, and he brought him to the workshop.
• Zhu Dan warned Shen Jin that evolved zombies were becoming common and that ordinary people were in grave danger.
• Shen Jin described how ordinary people could flee to safety or awaken by consuming crystal cores, and Zhu Dan proposed they join forces to liberate the country.

Shen Jin suspected that gaining the Blockify Ability had erased Minecraft from the world, leaving him unsettled by its possible connection to the apocalypse.

• Shen Jin crafted an Enchanting Table and surrounded it with bookshelves so it could offer high-level enchantments.
• Shen Jin renamed Zhu Dan’s ability “Empowerment” and spent ten World Coins to enchant Zhu Dan’s Spider-Man suit.
• The suit gained Protection IV, Projectile Protection II, and Blast Protection I, and Zhu Dan found that its energy-enhanced fabric resisted force.

When Tong Zhen urged them to fight for their home, the residents volunteered to help, but Shang Qian and Zhao Chao sent them to prepare for evacuation while the Superhumans planned to face the horde.

• Shen Jin built more Compressors and generators, produced Compressed Cobblestone, and crafted TNT mines for the coming battle.
• Shang Qian announced that a horde of seventy thousand zombies would reach Red Water Bay Base in three days and said Shen Jin had prepared an escape route.
• Tong Zhen asked whether the residents could fight back, and Shang Qian declared that the Superhumans would defend the base rather than abandon it.

• Adjutant Liu told Xia Anbang that Shen Jin had moved ordinary people out and planned to fight the zombie horde, so Xia Anbang decided not to send a helicopter after learning they had an escape route.
• Zhu Dan told Shen Jin that repeatedly exhausting and recovering his ability had increased his reserves and might help him reach Tier 2.
• Shen Jin enchanted his Diamond Sword with Zombie Killer V, Fire Aspect III, and Unbreaking I.

As the horde approached, D City's Superhuman Vanguard Team One arrived by helicopter to retrieve the Technology Special Ability User.

• Zhao Chao used his enhanced Laser Eyes to spot the approaching zombie horde, and Shen Jin sent him and Zhu Dan back to the Observation Line while he finished preparing the land mines.
• Shen Jin installed pressure plates on the TNT along the Front Line as Shang Qian cleared nearby stray zombies and promised to protect the group during the battle.
• Shen Jin briefed the twenty-four Superhumans on the horde, their weapons and supplies, and ordered Shang Qian to evacuate anyone who could no longer fight.

Shen Jin’s explosives devastated the advancing zombie horde, which stopped when night fell, and he prepared his people for the coming battle. Remembering Mo Xiao and the companions left behind, Shen Jin vowed to return to Q City and avenge them, while Shang Qian promised to fight by his side.

• Zhao Chao watched as pressure-triggered [TNT] charges blasted crowds of zombies at the entrances to Fragrant Sea Residential Community and Peaceful Coast Residential Community.
• Shen Jin learned that the horde kept advancing through the explosions, with Spitter Zombies feeding on the dead, and watched two hundred mines thin its ranks.
• When darkness fell, the zombie horde stopped moving, and Shen Jin had Zhao Chao organize night watches while he built rooms for the group to rest in.
• Shen Jin told Shang Qian that he regretted failing to protect Mo Xiao, Yang Ao, Old Fu, and Su Lele, and vowed to return to Q City and kill every zombie there.
