Background / History

Zhou Han was born in Qianshan County, Chizhou, Feng Country. When he was ten, bandits massacred his town and killed his parents. He and his younger brother Zhou Tao escaped and survived by begging. 77

Despite beginning without support, Zhou Han entered the Sun Moon Sword Sect and became adept at cultivating connections. His networking was a major factor in his rise from an unrooted disciple to the Outer Sect. Before his promotion, he served as a mining-area supervisor in Area 8 and had enough influence to arrange favorable task assignments. 19 24 77

His conflict with Yang Chen began when Zhou Tao damaged a spirit field and framed Yang Chen. Zhou Han initially challenged the arrest procedure and sought leniency for his brother, even offering Spirit Crystals as compensation. Once the Recording Stone proved Zhou Tao's guilt, he accepted the judgment; Zhou Tao was expelled from the sect. 26 28

Appearance

After entering the Outer Sect, Zhou Han is described as wearing white robes and carrying a powerful, polished aura.

He is also ruthless once he judges an opponent to be a future threat. After learning of Yang Chen's rapid progress and lack of backing, he orders Liu Mang to cripple him, intending to personally humiliate him before Zhou Tao when he returns. 55 56

Though capable of maintaining composure under humiliation, Zhou Han becomes increasingly desperate as Yang Chen outgrows him. His final schemes rely on manipulation, hired help, an alliance with Pei Yunfei, and the Mad Demon Pill. 28 101 106

His attachment to Zhou Tao remains one of his strongest motivations. At the end, he exposes Pei Yunfei's involvement in order to protect his brother. 108

Zhou Han appears after his brother is arrested for damaging a spirit field and framing Yang Chen. He initially seeks to defend Zhou Tao, but evidence forces him to accept the truth. Zhou Tao is expelled, creating an irreparable rift between Zhou Han and Yang Chen. 26 28

Promotion to the Outer Sect

Zhou Han reaches the Outer Sect and joins the Third Vein. His required closed-door cultivation gives Yang Chen time to grow, but Zhou Han emerges increasingly alarmed by Yang Chen's potential. 45 54 55

Failed Proxy Attack
