After Guchuan's antics, Gin didn't bother with the man in black and simply turned and left.
"Hey! That..."
"Hmph!"
Vodka blocked the man in black, pushing him to the ground.
Leaving the scene of the transaction, Gin walked quietly ahead.
"Hmm?"
A pebble kicked by someone hit Gin, and he was starting to lose his patience.
"Are you that eager to die?" Gin held a gun to Guchuan's head.
"Boss, I didn't mean to," Guchuan said with an innocent expression.
But his expression couldn't fool anyone. Gin dragged Guchuan into an empty alley. Vodka hesitated, wanting to follow, but Gin stopped him.
"Vodka, stay outside and keep watch."
"Yes!" Vodka snapped to attention respectfully.
After dragging Guchuan into the alley, Gin looked at him coldly.
"He's forgotten the pain once the wound healed. It seems the last lesson I gave him wasn't enough."
Guchuan didn't speak. He took off his black trench coat and looked at Gin, eager for a fight.
Surprised by Guchuan's attitude, Gin seemed to think Guchuan had some kind of fetish, and his gaze towards him held a hint of disgust.
"Come on."
Guchuan launched a sneak attack, disregarding all martial ethics.
After receiving Gin's order, Vodka quietly stayed outside, keeping watch. Hearing the commotion inside, he even maliciously imagined what Guchuan would look like after getting beaten.
"Vodka, what's that guy's deal?" Chianti asked curiously.
"Just some kid who just joined The Organization," Vodka said disdainfully.
"An ordinary kid wouldn't get such special treatment from Boss Gin," Chianti blew a bubble.
Vodka glanced into the alley, then said casually, "He just has a good dad."
So he's a second-generation rich kid, Chianti thought, then lost interest.
Not long after, Gin and Guchuan walked out of the alley.
Both of them were quite clean, though, so Vodka couldn't tell if Guchuan had actually been beaten.
"Mission accomplished, I'll be going now," Guchuan said.
Gin lit a cigarette, silent.
Guchuan took Gin's silence as an affirmation and turned to leave.
"Wait," Gin called out to Guchuan.
"Is there anything else?"
"Leave my gun," Gin looked at Guchuan calmly.
Guchuan pulled the gun out of his pocket and tossed it to Gin.
"Car keys."
Guchuan pulled the car keys out of another pocket and tossed them over.
"Lighter."
Guchuan reached into his pocket again...
Seriously, it's a good thing I kept track of their stuff, otherwise Gin and their things would all be gone.
Chianti watched the scene unfold with wide eyes. Is this why that new member's clothes have so many pockets?
"No, I didn't take your lighter either," Guchuan said, clutching the items in his pocket without taking them out.
Gin looked at him silently for a few seconds before speaking, "You can go."
"Alrighty then."
Guchuan's swift departure was an eye-opener for Chianti and the others, who were meeting him for the first time.
This guy dares to steal from Boss Gin, and it looks like this isn't the first time either.
After Guchuan left, Vodka's expression suddenly changed.
Gin noticed Vodka's change and asked him what was wrong.
Vodka stammered, and it took him a long time to say shamefully, "Boss, my gun... I might have left it in someone else's pocket."
"Shinichi, it's so late. Do you really have to go now? Can't it wait until tomorrow?"
Professor Agasa was driving Conan to the Art Museum.
"Things like this are naturally best handled as quickly as possible, Professor Agasa," Conan said from the passenger seat.
"We're here."
Professor Agasa found a parking spot, and the two stood in front of the Art Museum's entrance.
Looking at the locked door, Professor Agasa sighed.
"It's so late, they must be home. Let's come back tomorrow."
But Conan had no intention of leaving.
"Professor Agasa, why don't we just sneak in?"
"Shinichi, that's illegal!" Professor Agasa exclaimed.
"Shh!"
Conan clapped a hand over Professor Agasa's mouth, carefully looking around.
"You're so loud, someone will hear us."
Professor Agasa pried Conan's hand away and earnestly said, "Shinichi, we're here to find Guchuan, not to steal anything. Since Guchuan isn't here, we should just leave."
"No, Professor," Conan said.
"Professor, you don't know, Guchuan has a very peculiar personality."
"How peculiar?" the Professor asked.
"It's just…peculiar in a way that's hard to describe," Conan replied.
Professor Agasa scratched his head. Just how peculiar is that?
"This Art Museum is used to house his collections. There might be some items inside that he doesn't want outsiders to know about," Conan whispered.
"So what?" Professor Agasa said, puzzled.
Whatever Guchuan collected had nothing to do with them.
"It might contain the medicine that shrunk me!"
"What are you talking about! Shinichi, you're probably just curious," Professor Agasa said, looking at Conan.
"Of course not!"
Conan, whose thoughts had been exposed, waved his hands awkwardly. While there was a tiny bit of curiosity, it wasn't that much.
"Besides, Guchuan took my Voice-Changing Bowtie and Anesthetic Needle. It's not unreasonable for me to retrieve my belongings from inside, is it?" Conan said, ignoring Professor Agasa's protests, and skillfully picked the lock of the Art Museum's front door.
Under Guchuan's secret gaze, Conan walked directly into the Art Museum.
Guchuan stroked his chin.
He was always the one stealing from others. He never expected to have his own place broken into this time.
Watching Conan drag Professor Agasa inside, Guchuan got into Professor Agasa's Beetle car, secretly drove it to a hidden spot, and then returned.
Conan tiptoed through the Art Museum, exploring.
Professor Agasa followed behind Conan, covering his face, occasionally tugging at Conan.
"Shinichi, let's go back."
"Now that we're here, how can we just leave?" Conan flatly refused Professor Agasa.
Thump~
The items inside the Art Museum were haphazardly arranged. Conan picked up something he'd kicked.
"A handgun!"
Conan was so startled he nearly jumped.
While he had anticipated that some of Guchuan's collection might be a bit…questionable, he hadn't expected him to collect handguns directly.
He looked around again, and Conan's expression grew increasingly grim.
Colt M1911, Browning M1910, Walther PP…
Professor Agasa was terrified.
"Shinichi, the Guchuan you mentioned, he's not in the arms business, is he?"
"No," Conan swallowed.
"These guns are all very old models. Guchuan probably just really likes antique guns and enjoys collecting them."
Conan continued forward, coming face to face with a suit of Armor.
The bright Armor reflected the light from Conan's small flashlight onto his face, and Conan blinked.
