Background

Guchuan transmigrated into a body identical to his previous one, including the same birthmark. After returning to Japan, he was placed at 2-chome, 20 Beika Town, Tokyo—next door to Yusaku Kudo’s home—by his paternal grandfather. His biological father, Guchuan Yuan, remained distant and regarded his behavior as evidence of mental illness. 2 18

He became Shiho Miyano’s protector after finding her lost, feverish, and alone in the rain. Although he later accepted Gin’s demand that he join The Organization, his first assignment—recovering the escaped researcher Sherry alive—directly conflicted with the fact that Shiho was already living in his home. 3 4

Despite his criminal habits and reckless humor, he consistently protects Shiho/Little Ai. He takes responsibility for her living situation, buys her necessities, comforts her during dangerous incidents, and refuses to abandon her. Arrival in Beika and Shiho’s Rescue

After returning to Japan, Guchuan is arrested but quickly released through his family’s influence. He finds Shiho in the rain, takes her home, and begins acting as her guardian. Gin’s attempt to recruit him soon places him inside The Organization. 2 3 4
