Guchuan snuck home, only to be ambushed by Little Ai, who had been waiting in the living room.
"You're back?"
"Yup, yup." Guchuan nodded.
Little Ai examined Guchuan's body, noting that he had no injuries and hadn't changed his clothes. She pointed towards the kitchen.
"I saved you some food."
"Thanks, Ai-chan."
"Ew, gross." Little Ai made a disgusted face.
After helping Guchuan get his food, Little Ai sat across from him, watching him eat heartily.
"Slow down, no one's going to steal it from you," Little Ai couldn't help but say.
"It's just so good."
"Smooth talker." Little Ai affectionately ruffled Guchuan's hair.
Guchuan discontentedly swatted Little Ai's hand away. A man's head is not to be touched by anyone other than his mother. Little Ai, you've crossed a line!
Seeing Guchuan's expression, like a small beast, Little Ai smiled slyly.
"Go on, eat."
Little Ai stayed with Guchuan until he finished his meal. Guchuan knew that Little Ai was about to start lecturing him again.
"I told you before, you need to be home by ten at night. Look at the time now?" Little Ai pointed to the watch on Guchuan's wrist.
"Nine fifty," Guchuan raised his arm.
The watch on his wrist was broken; it wasn't moving at all.
"Always trying to be clever," Little Ai said sternly.
"And, did you go out to play with that brat Conan again? Didn't I say—"
Guchuan listened to Little Ai's lecture, shaking his head, as if he were completely detached from the world.
"Here, this is for you."
A bouquet of carnations, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, materialized before Little Ai's eyes.
"You..."
Little Ai was suddenly stunned, momentarily lost in thought.
"Don't think that just because you give me a gift, I won't be mad at you for not listening." Little Ai, her face flushed, hugged the carnations, her small nose sniffing the fragrance of the flowers.
"Do you like them?" Guchuan asked.
"They're alright," Little Ai turned her head away.
"Little Ai, you're being a tsundere again!" Guchuan exposed Little Ai's stubbornness.
Called out directly, Little Ai's expression was one of embarrassed fury, like a small cat. Her limbs unconsciously fidgeted, unable to sit still in her chair.
"I am not a tsundere!"
"A tsundere would never admit to being one," Guchuan said smugly, patting Little Ai's head.
"Heh, then do you eat shit?"
Guchuan was dumbfounded. To encounter such a 'great' topic right after eating made him feel a bit nauseous.
"No."
"Then people who eat shit never say they eat shit," Little Ai said expressionlessly, dealing Guchuan a ton of damage.
"I just finished eating."
"I finished a long time ago."
Guchuan grasped the table with both hands; he needed to properly digest this.
"Little Ai, let's not talk about such nauseating topics anymore."
"Hehe."
"If you 'hehe' again, I'll send you to school tomorrow, and you'll have endless classes and homework every day," Guchuan threatened menacingly.
Little Ai cast a disdainful glance at Guchuan.
She wasn't a real child; why would she be afraid of going to school and doing homework?
Guchuan, enraged, lifted Little Ai with his superior strength and then spanked her hard.
"Ah! Let go! Pervert!"
Little Ai's face was as red as a ripe apple. Though the physical pain wasn't severe, the psychological shame made her wish she could die instantly.
Being spanked—this was something she had never experienced, even as a child.
After Guchuan put Little Ai down, Little Ai furiously kicked Guchuan's leg several times. Still not satisfied after venting, she bit down on Guchuan's thigh.
Guchuan couldn't even move, afraid she might enter another teething phase.
"Hmph!"
Little Ai glared fiercely at Guchuan.
"You clean up the kitchen yourself!"
Little Ai picked up the carnations from the table and, her face full of anger, ran back to her bedroom.
"Ptui! Ptui!"
Back in her bedroom, Little Ai spat several times.
After a while, her anger subsided slightly, and she carefully placed the carnations in the vase by her bed. Looking at the pink carnations, a faint smile touched her lips.
Carnations, the flower of mothers, but also perfectly suitable as a gift for friends or lovers.
"Bang bang!"
"What is it?" Little Ai opened her bedroom door expressionlessly.
"You haven't showered yet today," Guchuan said.
"What's that got to do with you?" Little Ai said impatiently.
"How about I give you a bath? We can use that bathtub I gave you before, that bathtub is really..."
"Bang!"
Guchuan was met with a slammed door.
"You pervert, get away from my bedroom door right now, or I'm calling the police!"
Guchuan rubbed his nose. It's not like she hasn't showered with me before, why is she so worked up?
He kicked off his shoes, showered, and went to bed.
"Ding dong~"
"Ding dong~"
"Who is it?" Guchuan opened the door.
"Good morning, Guchuan."
"Good morning." Guchuan let Conan in.
"Aren't you going to school today?"
"It's Saturday today," Conan said.
"Right, good." Guchuan was speechless.
Yesterday was Sunday, today is Saturday. No wonder Conan hasn't had a breakdown after more than twenty years of elementary school; he has more vacation time than school time.
Little Ai didn't like Conan. As soon as she saw the unlucky child enter the house, she immediately retreated to her own bedroom.
With no one else in the living room, Conan got straight to the point.
"Guchuan, that Kameida from last night was probably an actor my dad hired. Can you contact the police and get him released?" Conan felt a bit ashamed.
It was something his own parents caused, and Guchuan ended up footing the bill.
Guchuan: ???
"An actor? Your parents said that?" Guchuan was momentarily confused.
That person was clearly from The Organization, so how did he become an actor hired by the Kudo couple?
Could it be that when the Kudo couple hired an actor, they coincidentally hired a genuine member of The Organization?
"No, those two muddled-headed people forgot all about that actor ages ago," Conan said, feeling a bit helpless.
They came in a hurry and left in a hurry.
They flew out directly last night, and they didn't even ask about that poor actor.
"Conan, that person is dead."
"D-d-dead?" Conan's tongue got tied.
"How did he die?" Conan asked, suppressing the shock in his heart.
"He was intercepted and shot by criminals while being escorted to the Police Station. His body is at the Police Station now," Guchuan said.
Conan still found it hard to believe.
That person revealed his parents' location, so he should have been an actor they hired. Conan had originally thought the interrogation last night was a bit too violent and had wanted to apologize today.
But he never expected the person to just die. If he wanted to apologize now, he'd have to go to the afterlife.
"Conan, was that person really an actor your parents hired? Is it possible that he was actually a member of The Organization and was silenced?" Guchuan said.
"Call Yusaku Kudo and ask him."
"Okay, I'll ask."
Conan took out his phone. What he had initially thought was just a prank by his parents had unexpectedly turned into such a baffling situation.
