Background / History

Di Tian lived at the lake deep within the Star Dou Great Forest and had remained dormant for a long time before accompanying Ye Han into human territory. He recognized the Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King’s remains in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well as those of his brothers, although their relationships had not been good 49 52.

His Dragon Clan background gave him knowledge of divine successor trials and the God Realm’s prohibition against Soul Beasts becoming gods. Although he initially questioned whether that prohibition could be overcome, he hoped Ye Han could create another miracle after witnessing his achievements in Anle City 51 301 302.

Appearance

Di Tian first appears as a tall man emerging from a whirlpool in the forest lake, wearing an extremely cold expression 49.

When Bi Ji questions his eventual decision, he first claims that the academy threatened his kin, Artoria, before admitting that Ye Han simply offered too much for him to refuse 52 53.

He values loyalty toward Soul Beasts. Ye Han earns his acknowledgment by refusing to abandon Red Scale and the other injured beasts, while threats against Artoria provoke immediate killing intent. His commitment extends beyond individual allies: when blood is needed to support the Soul Beast race’s chance at godhood, he volunteers to be drained dry 49 103 302.

Life at the academy softens his former brutality. Bi Ji notes that his violent aura gradually fades, and he becomes comfortable joking with Ye Han, relaxing in a reclining chair, and delegating work to his subordinates. Protecting the Injured Soul Beasts

After the Beast Tide, Di Tian observes Ye Han’s refusal to surrender injured Soul Beasts to human hunters. He emerges from the lake, drives away four Titled Douluo, kills the remaining Soul Saints, and arranges healing through Bi Ji 49.

Facing an approaching lightning tribulation, he asks Ye Han to look after the Soul Beast race if he fails. In return, he offers sacrifices from ten-thousand-year subordinates nearing the ends of their lives. His public announcement that Ye Han is under his protection prompts Qian Daoliu to order Spirit Hall to postpone action against the young Soul Master 49 50.

Joining Second Dimension Academy

A visit to the academy leads Di Tian to accept Ye Han’s offer of residence and tribulation support; the system confirms his assimilation into Second Dimension Academy. Bi Ji subsequently joins him, leaving four hundred-thousand-year Soul Beasts to manage the forest’s depths 52 53.

Di Tian undergoes his tribulation beside the Life Tree while Ye Han prevents Qian Daoliu from interfering. Ye Han collapses after defending against the final strike, but Di Tian survives 56 57.

Fighting Qian Daoliu

When Artoria manifests her red dragon power during the conflict in Spirit City, Di Tian flies out to help but is intercepted by Qian Daoliu. He keeps the Limit Douluo occupied while Ye Han’s companions launch coordinated attacks, follows instructions to mislead him, and catches up after Zhao Lei briefly blocks his escape. The combined effort ends in Qian Daoliu’s death 103 104 105 106 109 179.

Establishing a Soul Beast Sanctuary

Di Tian agrees to include part of the forest in Ye Han’s city on the condition that Soul Beasts there cannot be hunted. The protected district receives its own gate for free movement rather than confinement, and his announcement attracts weaker clans seeking safety 110.

He brings Zi Ji, Xiong Jun, and Ten Thousand Demons King into the project. Over time, Anle City allows young Soul Beasts to grow safely before leaving as adults, substantially reducing juvenile deaths 111 300.

Preventing Xiao Wu’s Sacrifice

Following Ye Han’s instructions, Di Tian and the other Soul Beast leaders monitor Spirit Hall’s hunt. When Xiao Wu begins sacrificing herself, they intervene immediately: Bi Ji, Zi Ji, and Ten Thousand Locust Tree stop the sacrifice while the others rescue Tang San. Di Tian then overwhelms Spirit Hall’s attackers while preserving those named on Ye Han’s list 228 231 234.

Pursuing Godhood

Di Tian supports the Space Stone project as a means to shelter Soul Beast ascension from the God Realm. He contributes blood, joins preparations for hunting the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, and accepts a delay so Ye Han can reach Rank 90 and use its Soul Ring 300 302 303.

He later brings Gu Yue Na to Anle City to obtain the actual ascension method. Despite her concerns, he insists on attempting what he calls the first opportunity in tens of thousands of years. He and Snow Empress begin the process in the Small Space and successfully become gods 325 328 332.
