Background

Ra was originally part of You Ling before their soul split into three versions of the same person. She arrived in the Grand Line’s Calm Belt as the golden meteor-borne figure and identified her new form as The Winged Dragon of Ra. The red and blue figures who arrived with her became Oshi and Obe, whom Ra treats as her younger sisters. 2

Her early priorities were protecting Oshi and Obe and learning how to survive in an unfamiliar world. Ra felt detached from the world due to her divine nature and lack of personal ties there, but regarded her sisters as her foremost concern. 14

After confronting Kaido, Ra accepted his strength and joined the Beasts Pirates alongside Oshi and Obe. Kaido subsequently treated the three as his daughters, while Ra accepted his captaincy. 16 19

Personality

Ra is composed, analytical, and exceptionally polite in public. She habitually observes before acting, whether studying Kaido’s intentions, analyzing Haki, examining historical records, or assessing the feasibility of large-scale plans. 14 25 83 334

Her calm demeanor does not make her conventionally merciful. Before joining Kaido, she was prepared to kill him if an opportunity arose, and she openly considered manipulating governments and rebellions to support the Beasts Pirates’ arms industry. 14 88
