Background / History

Obe is one of the three sisters whose souls originated from the same source, alongside Ra and Oshi. Ra states that the three ceased to be that original person once their soul split, a subject Obe initially struggles to understand 10.

After Ra’s defeat by Kaido, Obe and Oshi accept Kaido as their captain and join the Beasts Pirates with Ra 16. On Test Island, Obe becomes fascinated by Zayn’s weapon laboratory, particularly its laser weapons 19.

Under Ra’s instruction, Obe learns Haki and begins exploring the nature of Divine Power and her unique Authority. She is more comfortable with theory than Oshi, but initially finds it difficult to employ Haki naturally in fast combat 33 38.

During the Sky Island expedition, Obe negotiates an alliance with the Shandia. She supports them partly because their weakness makes them strategically dependent on Beasts Pirates protection, and partly because their Dial-based weapons offer inspiration for her own research 134 135.
