Straight to the Dragon's Lair!

Chen Mo did not linger in this "Leviathan breeding chamber." Though it was his first time aboard this alien mothership, he moved as if he had returned home, familiarly making his way out through another passage.

This was the Chitauri's main base, which should have been heavily guarded. But they were currently deploying troops to Earth on a massive scale. Faced with a planet so much more backward and weaker than themselves, no one could have imagined that, while confronting their full-scale invasion, an Earthling would silently infiltrate their nest.

After changing direction several times through the mothership's corridors, Chen Mo arrived at a vast area in the very center of the Chitauri mothership. It resembled the command center of a Sky Carrier, only broader and more enormous.

The place looked somewhat like a palace. At the far end stood a platform over two meters high, reached by more than a dozen steps. A broad, ornate dark-gold throne sat atop it. Before the platform, dozens of Chitauri were busy at console-like devices arranged in an arc around it.

Although Chen Mo was cloaked, the device's effect was not perfect. Nothing could be seen from a distance, but at close range like this, its flaws were easy to notice.

The area around Chen Mo produced ripples like refracted air. Anyone paying even slight attention could spot the anomaly, so his arrival caught the notice of some of those inside. In particular, the Chitauri seated on the dark-gold throne atop the platform, clad in distinctively ornate golden armor and taller and stronger than the others, rose directly from his throne.

"Who goes there?!"
