Background / History
Tang San initially fought alongside the Shrek Team against Lin Xiao and the Burning Maple Battle Team. His Blue Silver Grass was countered by Lin Xiao's Phoenix Fire Chains, and his Eight Spider Lances were shattered by a punch during their first major confrontation. Though healed afterward, he suffered severe injuries from poison and life-force devouring. 154 157
He continued to pursue victory over Lin Xiao, partly driven by his feelings for Xiao Wu. In the final match between the Shrek and Burning Maple teams, he attempted to exploit an opening created by Yu Tianheng and strike with the Clear Sky Hammer. Lin Xiao countered his techniques, shattered his leg bones, and defeated the Shrek Team. 270 271
Under Tang Hao's guidance, Tang San trained the Clear Sky Hammer techniques and became increasingly driven by hatred toward Lin Xiao and Martial Soul Hall. At the Blue Silver Grass Clan Grounds, Ah Yin exposed his secret and later reclaimed the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline she had given him, leaving Tang San captured alongside Tang Hao. 289 307 308
Tang San later entered Slaughter City, where he met and was recognized by his great-grandfather, Tang Chen. Tang Chen imparted Clear Sky Ultimate Skills that Tang Hao had not taught him, while Tang San inherited the Asura God's legacy and emerged determined to reclaim his place and pursue vengeance. 381 382
His Asura God's Trial intensified both his strength and his instability. After killing a Clear Sky Sect Elder who pleaded for him to restore the sect, Tang San completed the first seven trials and became a Soul Douluo. 516 517 While fleeing the Star Luo Empire after confronting Dai Weisi, his killing intent and Bloody Mary toxin overwhelmed him, turning him into a Blood Slave; he subsequently sought Tang Yuehua's help to control himself. 519 520 526
Appearance
After losing the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, Tang San is described as dark-skinned and ordinary-looking, with features resembling Tang Hao. 527
- Wields the Clear Sky Hammer in his left hand. 271
- Formerly possessed Eight Spider Lances on his back. 157 271
- His appearance did not gain the refinement associated with awakening the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, which was later extracted by Ah Yin. 527
Personality
Tang San is strategic, persistent, and willing to use every available advantage. His experience as an assassin shapes his approach to battle: he believes an opening should be exploited without hesitation and relies on misdirection, hidden weapons, poison, and decisive attacks. 271 466 532
His repeated losses to Lin Xiao foster resentment, possessiveness toward Xiao Wu, and an increasingly vengeful worldview. He seeks power through the Asura God's inheritance but struggles to prevent its killing intent and the Bloody Mary toxin from consuming him. 385 520 527 632
He deeply respects Yu Xiaogang, praising his teacher's intellect and kneeling in gratitude for his support. 411
