Background

Xiao Wu first met Zhu Rong outside Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy. She initially approached him for directions, drawn by his warm aura, but his refusal and her instincts convinced her that he was dangerous. Qilin immediately identified her as a nascent Hundred-Thousand-Year Transformed Spirit Beast, though Zhu Rong chose not to act against her at that time. 37

During her contest with Tang San for Dorm Seven's leadership, Xiao Wu sensed the aura of a rabbit Soul Bone on him. Tang San restrained and injured her with Blue Silver Entanglement before defeating her in a direct clash, leaving her unable to avenge the rabbits whose aura she sensed. 42 43

Tang San later offered her spicy dried rabbit meat, unknowingly presenting cooked rabbit to the empress of the Soft Bone Charm Rabbit clan. The incident turned their hostility into an outright vendetta: Xiao Wu vowed revenge for her mother and the rabbits. 46

After obtaining her first Spirit Ring, Xiao Wu became increasingly attached to Zhu Rong, following him to Holy Soul Village and later into the Soul Hunting Forest. Though Zhu Rong remained guarded, he repeatedly protected her and eventually gave her a means to hide the aura of her true form. 49 64 87
