Previous life

Mobius was a founding member of Fire Moth, but was marginalized and excluded from its center of power despite her pioneering work. Her focus was originally the pursuit of scientific truth rather than political influence. 357 358

She led the unproven Fusion Warrior project that operated on Yu Feng and Kevin. After Yu Feng survived with chronic, burning pain caused by the surgery's Hypervariable Factors, Mobius developed a drug to suppress his suffering. 8 18

Yu Feng later proposed incorporating multiple Honkai Beast traits into Fusion Warriors. Mobius developed this into the Chimera Project and named its intended final stage Project: Ascend to Divinity. She watched Yu Feng undergo repeated procedures, his condition worsening as he continued pursuing power. 8

When Yu Feng's body neared Herrscher-level Honkai resistance but became incompatible with the Twelfth Herrscher's authority, Mobius proposed creating a Honkai-energy condensation device with Vill-V. The device could theoretically induce a Herrscher transformation before Finality's birth, though Mobius could not guarantee Yu Feng would retain his self-awareness. 19

Mobius ultimately witnessed Yu Feng ascend to godhood in the battle against Finality—and then fall. 8

Rebirth and Fire Moth

After being reborn, Mobius located the reborn Zhu Yufeng and recruited him into her laboratory under the stated pretext of studying his unusual Honkai resistance. She privately confirmed to Elysia that both of them, as well as Yufeng, had retained memories of their previous lives. 68

She believed Yufeng's foreknowledge and stubbornness could lead him to repeat the same self-destructive path. Rather than confront him directly, Mobius and Elysia agreed to influence him gradually. 68

Mobius later prepared a Super Transformation surgery and proposed removing corrupt Fire Moth leaders, intending to use Xila in the operation. She also asked Yufeng to address her as “Mobius” rather than “Doctor,” signaling her wish for a closer relationship. 117

Following the failed attempt, Mobius reached an agreement with the defecting Modesti. She ordered the remnants of the assassin organization Arc Moon to be reorganized into World Serpent, a clandestine organization operating beneath Fire Moth. 204 207

World Serpent was intended to recruit capable researchers rejected by mainstream institutions and conduct research that even Fire Moth would refuse to pursue. Its stated ultimate purpose was defeating the Honkai. 207
