Background

Li Tianlan entered the martial-soul awakening ceremony with memories of another life and ambitions to rule Douluo Continent before reaching the wider universe. Rather than retain the Blue Silver Grass he expected to awaken, he used the Martial Soul Summoning Gate to summon the Flame Emperor Xiao Yan as his first Martial Soul. Xiao Yan accepted him as a disciple and took residence in his Sea of Consciousness. 1

At Xiao Yan's direction, Tianlan began cultivating the Fen Jue.
