On the sea, a luxury cruise ship is slowly crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

The Queen Elizabeth II is not slow, but this is the open sea, with no islands or land to refer to. If it weren't for the white waves and foam proving that they are sailing far away, tourists might have thought they were stationary.

On the second day after boarding, more than ten hours after the ship left port, Loren began to feel that the scenery at sea was becoming gloomy. The initial sense of joy and clarity gradually faded, leaving only dullness and boredom, like whole wheat bread without any toppings.

Aside from the bars and casinos where minors are prohibited, there are very few places to relax on the ship. There is a small swimming pool and a small Playground in the atrium, but Loren complained that the pool water was too dirty and the Playground equipment was too childish.

The Mr. and Mrs. Granger and Bates were very interested in opera and often went to see it, but Loren and Hermione were not yet that age and found adults boring.

If there's anything to be thankful for, it's that the restaurants on board are all quite good, especially the ice cream after meals.

In the open-air tea room of the cruise ship's atrium, melodious piano music softly played, accompanied by a gentle sea breeze. Occasionally, seabirds whose names were unknown would fly over the tea room, prompting young girls and elegant ladies to eagerly raise their bread.

There will always be people who think that they might prefer fries with ketchup to bland bread.

Soon the seabirds left, the open-air tea area quieted down, and the guests began to talk again about the lively dance floor in the cabin the night before.

Loren took a sip of his caramel latte and looked across at the person opposite him.

Hermione's brows furrowed slightly, and her fair face was tilted to the side, as if she were troubled.

She stared intently at the Arithmancy homework in her hands. The amount of homework Professor Victor assigned was so much that even the top student in the grade found it difficult.

Loren hesitated for a moment, then said, "I have a question."

"Um?"

Can you dance?

"I know a little."

"Um?"

Loren looked at her in surprise. "You can actually dance!?"

Is there a problem?

Hermione wrote down a row of formulas in her notebook and began to think about which one to use for the calculation—

Her pen suddenly stopped, as if she had noticed something amusing, and she looked up with a mischievous smile:

"Have you been thinking about this ever since dinner last night?"

"No, I'm just curious."

Loren lowered his head and drank his tea.

Hermione stared straight at him, then suddenly grinned, her eyes crinkling with laughter.

It seems like we've discovered an incredible secret.

In Hermione's eyes, Loren was a true genius. Whether it was Transfiguration, Alchemy, Potions Master, or financial investment, it seemed there was nothing Loren couldn't do. Even after recently discovering the wonders of the Fantasy Book, she felt she couldn't catch up with Loren.

She's just too lazy; otherwise, she definitely wouldn't be number one in the grade.

But things seem different now.

Hermione capped her pen, closed her notebook, straightened her back, and looked as serious as a professor.

"I'm not really good at dancing. But since the kindergarten graduation Yule Ball, I've been to all sorts of Yule Ball with my parents. The more I watched, the more I learned."

"Many Yule Ball?"

"So many!" Hermione nodded with a straight face, and couldn't help but complain when she talked about it, "Kindergarten graduation Yule Ball, birthday Yule Ball for Mom and Dad's colleagues and friends, promotion Yule Ball, Yule Ball, bachelor/bachelorette Yule Ball before marriage, housewarming Yule Ball ... basically, all sorts of things require Yule Ball."

"You can't read books, watch documentaries, eat big bites, or talk too loudly Yule Ball the ball. I hated Yule Ball when I was little."

"But my parents were worried about me being home alone, so they always took me with them..."

Hermione's complaints suddenly stopped. She glanced at Loren and resumed her professorial demeanor. "Although I watch most of the time, Dad has invited me to skip ahead. I know a little bit of both waltz and jazz, so I can teach you."

She raised her chin, her clear voice tinged with pride. "So, want to learn?"

Loren's expression was complex, but his inner thoughts were even more complex.

Having never learned these things in either of his lives, he thought the reclusive Granger was just as clueless as him, but it turns out she's become a master through exposure and learning.

But if you don't study now, next semester...

Thinking of this, Loren slowly nodded and said in a deliberately calm tone, "Let's give it a try."

Hermione couldn't contain her smile. She jumped up, grabbed her notebook with one hand, and pulled Loren along with the other, running towards the room.

The adults were all in the theater watching Macbeth, so they were the only guests in the suite. Hermione had Loren sit on the sofa, and she stood beside him like a professor, explaining:

"Starting with the waltz, this is the most commonly used and representative dance, it—"

Hermione's explanation suddenly stalled. She subconsciously tried to start by explaining the history of dance, including its origins, development, and extensions. However, she could only barely call herself an expert; she didn't really know anything about it. Her only practical experience was muddling through the dance floor with Wendell.

Although Wendell's colleagues and friends praised him highly, it was just polite talk.

Hermione glanced at Loren discreetly, realizing she hadn't given herself away yet, and immediately waved her hand, "That's not important, I'll teach you after a few tries!"

"Is that so..."

Loren looked at her with a mixture of belief and doubt.

Hermione didn't say anything, but reached out and pulled Loren up, then waved her wand to move all the sofas and furniture in the living room to the wall, making room for a spacious space.

"I'll teach you the most basic grip first, like this..."

Hermione demonstrated by placing her hand behind his armpit, then placed his right hand behind her back at the lower end of her left shoulder blade, holding his arm with her left hand and pulling his other hand up slightly with her right.

Loren blinked.

Contrary to his expectations of simply wrapping his arms around her waist, her body was slightly higher, soft and bouncy, and filled with Hermione's faint fragrance, which made him unconsciously a little distracted.

"Then comes the square step, watch your footing..."

Hermione, sitting opposite, was delighted with her teaching progress and paid no attention to classroom discipline, causing one student to be completely distracted from the lesson.

"... Finally, face to face, and that's it!"

After the dance class, Hermione's forehead was slightly sweaty. She rubbed her slightly sore arms and looked at him expectantly. "How was it? Did you learn it?"

"Absolutely not," Loren said bluntly.

Hermione looked at him, her little face full of confusion. "How could that be? The male step is much simpler than the female step, and I only taught the basic movements..."

Professor Granger began to recall his teaching, eventually attributing the problem to insufficient practice, and pulled Loren to continue practicing.

Although the teaching quality is average, the learning experience is top-notch.

An anonymous student gave it high praise.
