After shutting the window and dusting off his hands, Loren had no idea how long the pears needed to freeze. A week outside should be about right.

Whether it was immortality or the Emerald Tablet, Loren had no thoughts about either. The frozen pears he could eat in a week were far more worth looking forward to.

In the Great Hall, at the Gryffindor table.

"Eat faster!" Seamus said excitedly. "The snow on the grounds is waiting for us!"

At those words, the young wizards around them quickened their pace.

It was the weekend. After being cooped up for a week, the young wizards had long since planned how to have fun. A thick layer of snow had accumulated on the grounds, perfect for a snowball fight.
