Atalanta is a renowned huntress from Arcadia and a follower of Artemis, whom Artemis identifies as a child she adopted there. She was abandoned by her parents at birth and raised through the Moon Goddess's mercy. Her upbringing in the wild left her inexperienced with ordinary social and romantic expectations, while her devotion to Artemis led her to swear a vow of chastity. 8 10 13

Voyage of the *Argo*

At Lemnos, Atalanta approaches the Argo to join its expedition as a warrior. She seeks to escape the heroes pursuing her romantically and initially has no interest in love. Moran proposes that they publicly pose as partners to discourage suitors; she accepts, appreciating that he neither fears her strength nor lusts after her. 7

During the voyage to Colchis, Atalanta fights alongside the Argonauts against the Siren, Harpies, and Geryon. After falling under the Siren's song, she awakens in Moran's arms, an experience that intensifies feelings she cannot understand. She repeatedly prays to Artemis for guidance, torn between her emerging affection for Moran and her oath. 8

At Colchis, Atalanta becomes openly jealous when Medea grows close to Moran. Her anger culminates in an arrow that narrowly misses Jason's head and pins his sleeve to the Argo. Regret and Reconciliation

In the first Greek Heroic Age simulation, Atalanta learns from Artemis that Moran has died before he can fulfill his promise to come to Arcadia. Rather than blame him, she condemns herself for failing to speak honestly or remain at his side when he needed help. 35 36

When she encounters Moran again in a later simulation, Atalanta initially avoids him and attacks him with a barrage of arrows in the wilderness. Her anger collapses into grief and self-blame; Moran convinces her that her future does not have to repeat the loss she remembers. She entrusts her happiness to him, removing the barriers between them. 35 36

Pellasgi

After Pellasgi City is founded, Atalanta declines the title of Queen Consort and instead chooses to lead Moran's army. She remains faithful to Artemis while pursuing her life with Moran, believing that faith and happiness need not conflict. 36 37

When the Olympian gods move against Pellasgi, Atalanta offers her strength to the nation and stands ready to fight beside Moran, Medusa, and Medea against the invading city-states and divine forces. 37 40
