| 3rd Realm — Proficient 1% | 76 | Refined toxins enlarge the Poison Sac and produce a renewed, stronger current of True Qi. 76 |
| 4th Realm — Outstanding 1% | 117 | Crimson Crown Silver Snake, White Skin Gecko, Rotten Intestine Chrysanthemum, and Corpse Side Grass enable a further refinement. 117 |
| 5th Realm | 117 | The Qi becomes sufficiently condensed to support the Myriad Poison Finger Strike. 117 |
| 6th Realm — Divine Craftsmanship | 152 | After learning the complete sutra's principles of mutual generation and restraint, Su Que can advance through vast quantities of ordinary poisons rather than only prescribed materials. 152 |
| 7th Realm — Mastered 2% | 155 | Toxins drawn from a corpse-Gu refining pool are converted into Qi, leaving the pool's purple water clear. 155 |
| 8th Realm — Pinnacle 1% | 159 | Absorbing toxins from Miaojiang's poisonous forests and fields further expands the Poison Sac; the Qi approaches liquid-like refinement. 159 |
| 9th Realm — Astonishing the World 3% | 246 | Absorption of Tang Sect poison fields yields more refined, more toxic Qi and larger Poison Sacs. 246 |
| 10th Realm — Epoch-Shaking 1% | 249 | The breakthrough sharply expands the Poison Sac and unlocks Myriad Poison Sword Qi. 249 250 |
| 11th Realm — Shaking Heaven and Earth | 272 | Su Que surpasses the sutra's creator, who had only verified cultivation through the 9th Realm. 272 |
| 12th Realm — Unprecedented | 303 | Upper-Realm poisonous herbs and the absorption of another practitioner's Myriad Poison True Qi drive the sutra into an unprecedented stage. 303 |
| 13th Realm — Mighty Ruler of the Universe | 329 | By absorbing Daoist Priest Kuquan's Qi and additional poison fields, Su Que reaches the 13th Realm; his stored Qi later compresses into liquid. 329 330 |
| 14th Realm — Transcendent Saint 1% | 353 | Tang Li's Qi and purchased Upper-Realm poisons trigger the breakthrough; the emitted Qi becomes extremely dense and nearly liquid. 353 |
History
Myriad Poison True Qi is generated when a practitioner ingests toxins and uses the Myriad Poisons Heart Sutra to absorb, blend, and refine them. The Qi is then used to stimulate the Sea of Qi Acupoint and create Poison Sacs for storage. This process is dangerous even with weaker poisonous herbs and insects, which can kill low-level martial artists. 55
Su Que first produces a wisp of deep-purple Myriad Poison True Qi while cultivating from poisonous paste. Its initial emergence occurs before his Poison Sac is complete; once the sac forms, the Qi can be contained and the sutra is considered initiated. 58
The Qi's normal side effect is continuous damage to the cultivator's flesh, meridians, and internal organs. Long-term practitioners without rare treasures to compensate can become physically weak or visibly disfigured, with altered skin, hair, pupils, or fingernails. 74 155 320 Su Que uniquely reverses these side effects, causing the Qi to nourish his body, increase his lifespan, and strengthen his physique instead. 74 152
After acquiring the complete Poison Scripture, Su Que no longer depends on specific prescribed toxins: he can refine large quantities of any poison according to their mutual generation and restraint. 152 In the Upper Realm, he further discovers that another practitioner's Myriad Poison True Qi can be absorbed, converted, and stored as his own, making it a particularly efficient source of advancement. 303 329
Appearance
Myriad Poison True Qi is generally depicted as deep-purple energy. It can emerge as a wisp, palm-covering vapor, a body-enveloping miasma, condensed sword qi, or a vast cloud and tornado. 58 74 77 250 330
- Appears as deep-purple gas when released from the practitioner's pores, seven orifices, hands, or fingertips. 74 76 77
- Can blacken and smoke upon contact with wood, plants, and other matter. 61
- At higher mastery, it can form a cloud extending for several miles before being recalled into the Poison Sac. 330
- Its extreme compression within the Poison Sac causes it to become liquid. 330
Abilities & Skills
Toxicity and Corrosion
Myriad Poison True Qi is intensely poisonous to those who have not cultivated poison arts. It can wither vegetation, corrode physical matter, and damage enemies internally after entering through pores and acupoints. 74 61 390
- A tree struck by the Qi blackens, smokes, and gradually withers from trunk to roots. 61
- It can corrode corpses to nothingness and destroy vegetation across entire poison fields. 250
- Deities enveloped by the Qi suffer burning internal pain even when they protect themselves with Qi and hold their breath. 390
- Its poison is especially useful for weakening stronger opponents or attacking multiple enemies at once. 89
Toxin Refinement and Storage
The Qi is produced by refining poisonous herbs, insects, miasma, toxic water, and other toxins. It is stored in Poison Sacs opened at the Sea of Qi Acupoint. 55 58
- New Qi stimulates the Poison Sac to expand, increasing its storage capacity. 76 249
- Toxins may be absorbed through ingestion, the seven orifices, pores, or the hands. 58 155 246
- At sufficient mastery, it can assimilate poisonous mists and Qi released by other practitioners. 115 303
- Absorbing another cultivator's Myriad Poison True Qi can deplete and wither their Poison Sac. 353
Protective Poison Miasma
Upon reaching the 3rd Realm, the Qi can form a controllable poisonous miasma around the practitioner. 77
- It emanates from pores and seven orifices while avoiding the user's clothing, which the corrosive Qi would otherwise destroy. 77
- The miasma can serve as an outer defensive layer alongside the Withered Wood True Qi Membrane. 92
- It reduces the force of incoming poisoned hidden weapons before they reach the user. 115
- Its range can be expanded through other types of True Qi, reaching twenty paces in Su Que's early testing. 91
Myriad Poison Finger Strike
A concentrated finger technique unlocked once the Qi becomes sufficiently condensed. 117
- Condenses Myriad Poison True Qi and circulates it through the meridians before releasing it from the fingertips. 117
- Su Que uses it alongside the Seven Injuries Fist to defeat True Lord Baiyun. 127
Myriad Poison Sword Qi
A sword-qi manifestation comprehended upon reaching the 10th Realm. 250
- Condenses surrounding True Qi into dense, deep-purple sword-like streams. 250
- Pierces trees and cuts poisonous plants while the poisoned wounds continue to corrode. 250
- Breaks Spirit Mountain's Buddhist defensive barrier and incapacitates more than a hundred monks. 330
Wide-Area Poison Tide
At high mastery, Myriad Poison True Qi becomes Su Que's broadest-area attack. 330
- Can be released as a deep-purple tornado that forms clouds overhead and blocks sunlight. 330
- The cloud can stretch for several miles and be recalled completely to the Poison Sac. 330
- A wave of Qi can incapacitate martial artists below the Gang Condensation Realm, allowing Su Que to identify stronger targets that remain conscious. 206
- It can overwhelm swarms of venomous Gu worms by extracting their toxins, causing the depleted insects to wither and fall. 250
Limitations
- Unrefined toxins are outside the sutra's control; harm suffered before their conversion into Myriad Poison True Qi cannot be reversed. 58
- Ordinary users suffer chronic bodily damage from the Qi and require rare treasures or medicinal compensation to avoid progressive weakness. 74 320
- Greater advancement requires increasingly large quantities or higher grades of poison. 330 354
- Protective miasma and external emissions can corrode the user's clothing and nearby furnishings if not controlled carefully. 76 77
Relationships
- Su Que — Primary wielder. His reversed cultivation side effects allow the Qi to strengthen rather than cripple his body. 74 152
- Myriad Poisons Heart Sutra — The internal art that creates, refines, circulates, and stores Myriad Poison True Qi. 55 58
- Zhang Bengen — Tang Sect assassin whose use of Qi-coated hidden weapons inspires Su Que's early projectile experiments. 60
- Daoist Priest Kuquan — A fellow practitioner whose Myriad Poison True Qi is absorbed and converted by Su Que. 329
- Tang Li — Upper-Realm practitioner whose Poison Sac is emptied when Su Que extracts all of his Myriad Poison True Qi. 353
- The Ancestor — Another practitioner whose Qi is valuable to Su Que precisely because its conversion would inflict stronger reversible side effects. 372
