Winning Irene's Heart (Part 2)
Polson Grand Canyon
She raised her left hand to shield her eyes from the glaring sunlight and surveyed her surroundings. The lush, dense forest in the distance, the clear stream at her feet, and the rugged, towering peaks behind her—this was the scenery Yelibell knew best. She scooped up a handful of cool stream water with her right hand and drank it, rubbing her slightly sore neck, quietly listening to all the sounds around her.
"Haha! It really was a dream! I knew it. How could there be a dragon with dual attributes in this world, let alone a dragon with dual attributes of time and space?"
Slowly standing up, Yelibell stretched her stiff neck. She complained to the rock beneath her, "This rock is so hard! It's hurting all over. No wonder I had that nightmare. Oh well, I'd better hurry back to my cave for some beauty sleep!"
After speaking, Yelibell slowly spread her wings, preparing to return to her cave. Just then, a voice that felt familiar yet unwanted appeared behind her.
"Sister Yelibell, where are you going?"
Yelibell stiffly turned her head back, looking behind her. A seven-colored light and shadow that horrified her came into view. Seeing the terrifying thing from her 'nightmare' appear in reality, Yelibell was so frightened that her body involuntarily retreated. Suddenly, Sordil, who was standing in front of her, shouted loudly:
"Sister Yelibell, be careful!"
"Plop"
Shocked and oblivious to the path behind her, Yelibell lost her footing and fell into the stream. The clear, cool water splashed everywhere upon impact, some of it landing on her face. Sordil rushed over to help Yelibell up, asking with concern, "Sister Yelibell, are you alright?"
Seeing Sordil approaching her, Yelibell screamed in terror and continued to back away, but much faster than before. Seeing the panicked Yelibell, Sordil stopped and stood still.
"Yelibell, haven't you made enough of a scene?"
Just as the two were locked in a stalemate, a gentle, sweet shout came crashing down from above. Yelibell, who was backing away, stopped abruptly upon hearing the shout and stared blankly upwards.
"Grandiere?"
"You still recognize me? That means you're not completely insane!"
"Crazy? You're the crazy one! Your whole family is crazy!"
"Really? If you're not crazy, why did you keep yelling and screaming after seeing Sordil? Why did you stay in the ground like a gopher, burrowing around?"
Upon hearing Grandiere compare her to a filthy groundhog, Yelibell jumped to her feet. Pointing angrily at Grandiere in the sky, she exclaimed, "You... you..."
"Oh! You're so embarrassed and angry that you're speechless?"
"You're the one who's angry and embarrassed! You're the one who's speechless! How could I not be frightened when you suddenly bring such a terrifying being here?"
"Oh! So even the beautiful Yelibell, who can hear other people's thoughts, gets scared sometimes? And she gets so scared that she can't even speak or think straight!"
Touched on a sore spot, Yelibell's face instantly turned as red as a ripe apple. She quickly spotted the flaw in the other person's words and immediately retorted, "You never mentioned this, so how would I know he's a dual-attribute dragon? Isn't it normal to be shocked when I suddenly find out?"
"Even if you are frightened because you don't know Brother Sordil's identity, you know why we are here and that we won't hurt you. Why were you so flustered just now?"
Upon hearing Grandiere mention the purpose of their visit, Yelibell's face flushed even more. She glanced furtively at Sordil, then said shyly, "I wasn't really ready yet!"
Because Yelibell was covered in purplish-red scales, Grandiere didn't notice anything unusual about her. He continued, "So, are you mentally prepared now? If you are, quickly tell us about the last trial you've prepared, so as not to delay our business!"
"Us? To get down to business?"
After carefully considering Grandiere's words, Yelibell felt her worldview crumbling.
"Grandiere way too open-minded, she actually wanted to..."
Yelibell shook her head desperately, trying to shake those 'beautiful' images out of her mind. But looking at Grandiere's serious expression, which didn't seem fake, Yelibell's fragile nerves began to malfunction again.
"Alright! Since you want to do it this way, I'll grant your wish. Let's all do it together!"
After a mental battle that nearly drove her to the brink of madness, Yelibell, having made up her mind, said gently to Sordil, "Little brother Sordil, my last trial is very simple, and you will definitely be able to complete it."
"Sister Yelibell, please tell me quickly, what exactly is the last trial?"
"This final trial is to make you kiss both me and Grandiere within a quarter of an hour."
"Plop"
"Plop"
As soon as Yelibell finished speaking, two heavy splashes echoed around her, followed by the sound of objects hitting the water. Immediately afterward, she felt the water level rise beside her. Along with the rising water came an angry roar.
"Yelibell, are you serious?"
Looking at the furious Grandiere, Yelibell was a little confused. Why was Grandilo so angry even though she had designed the trial according to Grandilo's 'wishes'? However, thinking that she was about to join this big family, and that Grandiere was her introducer, Yelibell said weakly, "Of course I'm serious!"
Grandiere was about to say something when Sordil's voice drifted into her ears.
"Sister Grandiere, I'm so sorry! Prison! Displacement!"
"Buzz"
The space trembled, and then Grandiere found herself unable to move an inch. Just as she was about to break free, her body began to move uncontrollably. In the end, she and Yelibell squeezed together, their bodies forming a V-shape.
"Sordil, what are you doing?"
"Sister Grandiere, you heard it too, this is the last trial set by Sister Yelibell, so I'm sorry to trouble you!"
Before Grandiere could break free of her restraints, the last corner of the triangle joined in. Feeling the warm object pressed against the corner of her mouth, Grandiere struggled desperately, but as time passed, her resistance grew weaker and weaker.
Dragunov, Royal Palace Drill Ground
Seeing the impressive results of another Sordil victory, General Oddek began to doubt his offensive strategy. Was he being too cautious, thus slowing down the advance and preventing him from capturing Irene Heights? Looking up at Irene standing opposite him, the stereotypical fat, straight-laced, ultimate virgin, and Little White romantic Oddek decided to change his attack plan.
"These are the three basic applications of Augmented Magic. As for the more advanced ones, we'll introduce them tomorrow."
Seeing Teacher Irene turn to leave, Oddek hurriedly said, "Teacher Irene, I have another question, may I ask you?"
