Selisliu's Death (Part 2)
After a grueling half-hour struggle, Sordil finally finished enjoying the hospitality that Selisliu had shown him, but his greed was not satisfied, and he turned his attention to Igneel.
"Brother Igneel, I'm here to help you!"
After saying this, Sordil, with his large belly protruding, flew towards Igneel. Seeing Sordil coming to his aid, Igneel breathed a sigh of relief, but when he caught sight of Sordil's large belly, he asked with some concern, "Brother Sordil, can your stomach handle it?"
While Igneel dodged, Sordil squeezed himself between Igneel and the lightning pillar, and then began to enjoy his second treat.
Not receiving a definite answer from Sordil, Igneel remained uneasy, so he asked again, "Brother Sordil, are you sure you'll be alright eating so much at once?"
Seeing Igneel's anxious face, Sordil gave him a reassuring smile, then mumbled, "Brother Igneel, don't worry, these things can't do anything to me!"
Hearing Sordil's words, Igneel felt much relieved, but he still kept a close eye on Sordil, fearing that he might not be able to withstand it. As Igneel watched with bated breath, time passed slowly, and five or six minutes later, Sordil safely absorbed the last bit of purplish-black lightning.
"Belch!"
Sordil patted his round belly, let out a satisfied burp, then turned his head and looked at Igneel triumphantly.
"Brother Igneel, I wasn't lying to you, was I?"
Igneel patted Sordil's belly and said with emotion, "Brother Sordil, I may not be impressed by anyone when it comes to eating, but when it comes to you, I am truly impressed!"
"Ha ha!"
Sordil smiled smugly and said, "Brother Igneel, we can discuss eating later. Our priority now is to catch that bastard who escaped!"
"No problem! However, I'll have to trouble you, Brother Sordil, with this!"
Sordil didn't waste any words, immediately switching to Poison Dragon Mode and beginning to search for Selisliu's whereabouts. After a while, Sordil opened his eyes with a serious expression, and then he said urgently, "Brother Igneel, let's hurry and chase after them!"
Seeing the flustered Sordil, Igneel knew something important must have happened; otherwise, the usually composed Sordil wouldn't be so flustered. So he suppressed his curiosity and followed Sordil forward.
"Ugh... Pfft!"
After spitting out the blood from his throat, Selisliu felt much better breathing, but the weakness within him had also intensified. Glancing back at the direction where Sordil and the other man had been, Selisliu said bitterly, "You two just wait! Sooner or later, I'll repay you a hundredfold... no! A thousandfold!"
After uttering those harsh words, Selisliu forced his faltering body forward, knowing that those two elusive individuals could catch up at any moment, and in his current physical condition, if he were to be surrounded, escape would be impossible. However, he hadn't gone far when he stopped and warily stared ahead.
"These two guys are too fast! They've gotten ahead of me again! Fine! Since I can't escape today, I'm not going to run!"
Realizing that there was no hope of escape, Selisliu immediately assumed a fighting stance, preparing to fight the enemy to the death.
Just as Selisliu was preparing to 'sacrifice himself for his country,' a yellowish-brown head suddenly peeked out from the treetops ahead. Upon seeing the enemy, Selisliu didn't hesitate and immediately threw a punch.
"What the hell! Selisliu, what's wrong with you?"
Hearing the familiar voice, and recalling the strange feeling that had just flashed through her mind, Selisliu quickly stopped punching.
"Glaide, it's you?"
Seeing the iron fist less than a centimeter from his face, Glaide took a deep breath and then decisively put some distance between himself and Selisliu. Once he was sure he wasn't in any immediate danger, Glaide said irritably, "Lord Goodpes was worried something had happened to you, so he sent me to check on you. I didn't expect you to hit me with a stun gun the moment we met!"
Selisliu awkwardly withdrew his fist and said embarrassedly, "It was wrong of me to attack you as soon as we met, but you can't blame me! When you suddenly appeared in front of me, I thought it was one of those two guys who were chasing me, so I attacked you."
"The two guys who were chasing you?"
He muttered the suspicious points in Selisliu's words to himself, and then Glaide belatedly realized another important problem.
"Selisliu, where are your men? Why are you the only one left?"
Upon hearing the word "subordinate, "Selisliu felt both anger and a sense of frustration.
"Don't even mention it! On my way here, I ran into that bastard hiding in the Black Mist, and he killed two of my brothers. I led my men to chase him all the way to Ishgar, but he managed to escape in the chaos. Later, I led my men to search for that bastard while gathering intelligence on Ishgar. Who knew that before we could finish gathering our intelligence, we were surrounded by those idiots on Ishgar. In the end, only I fought my way out; all the other brothers were captured."
At this point, Selisliu suddenly remembered that he was still being chased by those two despicable guys, so he quickly said to Glaide, "By the way, Glaide, you have to take me away quickly, or those two despicable guys will catch up with us!"
"What are you afraid of! There are two of them, and there are two of us. If they catch up with us, we'll just fight them!"
Seeing Glaide's arrogant boast of challenging the two demons, Selisliu said nothing and simply flew off unsteadily. Before leaving, he turned to Glaide and said, "Um... tell me what kind of coffin you want, so I can bring it to you next time I come and collect your body!"
Glaide looked at Selisliu with a dark expression, then asked with a hint of disbelief, "Are they really that powerful?"
"You'll find out how formidable they are once you've fought them both! Oh, by the way, since we've worked together, let me give you some advice: if things get bad, you must use every escape trick in the book. Otherwise, next time I come back, I won't bring you a coffin; I should bring you an urn instead!"
Is there any difference between a coffin and an urn?
"Using a coffin means you were whole, and one coffin is just right. Using an urn means you turned into a pile of minced meat, and it's too much trouble to put it in a coffin, so it's more convenient to burn you to ashes and put you in an urn."
After understanding the difference between a coffin and an urn, Glaide decisively abandoned his plan to stay and fight the enemy. He put his hand on Selisliu's shoulder and dragged him forward quickly.
"Yes! That's right, wait until..."
"Pfft!"
"Puff!"
After wiping away the blood that Selisliu had sprayed on his face, Glaide slowly pulled out his right hand, which was stuck in the back of Serisliu's heart, and then pushed him down from the air.
"Boom!"
The lifeless Selisliu crashed heavily to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust. Staring in disbelief at Glaide, who had killed him, he shakily raised his right hand and stammered, "You... you... why..."
"Because you're blocking my way!"
