The Arrival of the Stalemate Phase (12)
"Anna, don't be shy, just say it!" (Irene)
"Yes, little Anna, there are no outsiders here, don't be shy, just say it!" (Diphiya)
"Sister Anna, don't worry, we'll keep your secret and won't let anyone know!" (Grandiere)
"That's right! (Irene / Diphiya)"
"Hmph! If you keep pushing me, believe me, I'll marry my teacher!"
Faced with the combined attack of the three, Anna inwardly grumbled. Just then, the three seemed to hear her thoughts, and all looked at her with dangerous eyes.
"Gulp"
After swallowing hard to calm her trembling body, Anna buried her head even deeper, otherwise she was afraid she would be scared to death by the three death rays opposite her.
Seeing that Anna wisely abandoned her dangerous thoughts, the atmosphere among them returned to its previous harmonious state. However, the three presiding judges questioned her more frequently, as if Anna would not give up until she got married.
Just as Anna was about to succumb to the mental pressure and give in, the ground suddenly trembled slightly. Then, a bamboo envelope, bathed in a silvery-white light, appeared in the center of the palace courtyard. Faced with such a golden opportunity to escape, how could the exceptionally clever Anna possibly let it slip by?
So, with lightning speed, she snatched the envelope and rushed towards the training ground, shouting, "Sisters, I'm going to deliver a letter to the teacher. We can talk about anything else later!"
Watching Anna disappear through the gate, the trio exchanged glances and then said in unison, "It's time to prepare for the matchmaking event!"
Royal Palace Martial Arts Ground
Shivering from the lingering chill, Anna suddenly felt a sense of foreboding. However, this wasn't her concern right now. Her only task was to hand the envelope to her teacher and make a quick getaway. Fortunately, young master Sordil's whereabouts had been relatively stable lately, so Anna easily found Teacher Sordil, who was diligently lecturing from the podium.
Anna quickly walked to Sordil's side and handed him the bamboo envelope.
"Teacher, this is a battle report that just came back from the front!"
After hearing Anna's words, Sordil immediately stopped the lesson and began to examine the contents of the envelope.
As time passed, Sordil's brows began to undergo a fascinating transformation, from initially smooth to slightly furrowed, then to a deep frown, and finally back to flat. But this flatness lasted only a few seconds before his brows furrowed again, finally pressing tightly together and never settling back to normal. A moment later, Sordil resealed the letter he had just read, then turned to Anna and said, "Anna, from now on, the task of teaching the new recruits is yours. I must head to the battlefield immediately. As for Irene, please pass on my message!"
Anna wanted to say something more, but Sordil had already disappeared from her sight.
Chigengster Plains, Ishgar Camp, Teleportation Camp
As Belserion waited anxiously, the long-dormant Teleportation Array finally stirred. Space trembled slightly, light flickered, and then Sordil appeared in the tent with an incomplete special forces team. (Because Diphiya and Grandiere were left behind in Dragunov, the special forces team was not at full strength.)
Upon seeing the person they wanted to see, Sage Dragon and Prince Sordil spoke at the same time, saying what they most wanted to say.
"Uncle Sage Dragon, how is the battle going?"
"You brats, hurry up and save Aku and the others!"
After their voices collided, neither could clearly hear the other, so they repeated their conversation at the same time. Then, unsurprisingly, their conversations collided again, and this continued unabated. After a minute of this auditory chaos, unable to endure the torment any longer, Igneel and the others worked together to cover their mouths, ending the terrifying noise interference.
"Waaah"
"Waaah"
Seeing the two struggling, Igneel said, "Brother Sordil, we can let you go, but please don't speak at the same time again."
Sordil and Ignir nodded vigorously in agreement with the proposal. Only then did Igneel release their grip and set them free.
To avoid being banned by the administrator again, Sordil and Belserion held a silent negotiation, determining the order in which they would speak. (I bet you're all wondering what this silent negotiation was, but I won't tell you, hehe!... Actually, I could tell you, but you'd have to beg me, beg me! Beg me now! Um... Boss, I'll tell you now, please put down your bricks. The so-called silent negotiation was... rock, paper, scissors!)
"Uncle Sage Dragon, tell me quickly, what's the current situation of the battle!"
"Shortly after I sent you the distress message, the people Aku sent for help arrived. Let them tell you the details!"
"That's fine too!"
After Sordil gave his approval, Belserion beckoned to a soldier behind him, whispered a few words in his ear, and the soldier hurriedly left the tent. Shortly afterward, the tent flap was lifted, and a dozen or so wounded and disheveled men entered the tent.
"Your subordinate greets Sage Dragon!"
"Get up, all of you!"
Once the dozen or so people stood up, Belserion began to introduce Sordil and the others to them.
"Dales, this is Prince Sordil of Fostadu, the husband of our Queen Irene, and His Majesty the King of our Kingdom of Donagunov."
"Sordil, he is Dales, the captain of the 2nd Division's guard, and he was sent by Aku to ask for help."
After Belserion finished speaking, Dales and the others hurriedly stepped forward to bow.
"Your subordinate, Dales, greets Your His Majesty the King!"
"General Dales, please rise!"
"Thank you, Your Majesty!"
After exchanging greetings, the three of them (Sordil, Dales, Belserion) slowly moved to one side to discuss the battle situation and finalize the rescue plan. Meanwhile, Igneel and the others gathered together to familiarize themselves with each other's identities and abilities, preparing for their upcoming joint operation and developing a strong fighting spirit.
After five or six minutes of conversation, Sordil finally understood the situation on Acnologia's side. He then began to use his fairly intelligent brain to think about the next course of action.
"Sage Dragon, look..."
Dales pointed at the silent Sordil and asked, puzzled.
"Heh! Dales, if you want to rescue Aku and the brothers of the First and Second Divisions, then shut up and let the brat think it over and prepare a foolproof plan."
"Yes, Sage Dragon!"
Five or six minutes later, Sordil finally opened his eyes, but he ignored Sage Dragon and instead gave Igneel the order to act.
"Brother Igneel, go back immediately and transfer five hundred men from the northern front. Besides that, you also need to... and so on!"
"Brother Sordil, don't worry, I'll take care of everything perfectly for you!"
After seeing Igneel off, Sordil turned his attention to Lindel and gave him the same order. Only after doing so did Sordil belatedly notice Belserion standing to one side.
"Uncle Sage Dragon, you will leave 500 men to guard the main camp, and then lead the rest to raid the enemy's camp. But remember, no matter what the outcome of the raid is, you must finish the battle within half an hour and return to the main camp to ensure its safety."
"Okay, I understand!"
Finally Sordil turned his gaze to Dales and gave him one last instruction.
"General Dales, once Brother Igneel and the others bring the soldiers, you will be in charge of leading the way to the battlefield to rescue Uncle Sacred Dragon and the trapped soldiers."
"Your subordinate obeys!"
