Rendezvous
Peterburg City
After several days of hard work, Sordil and his dragon-slaying force successfully completed their first mission, adding over a thousand Dragon Slayer Magic to their ranks while also dealing a significant blow to the enemy. However, Old Suo did not stay with his troops at this moment, but instead embarked on a secret rendezvous journey alone.
"Uncle Sage Dragon, I'm leaving this place to you after I'm gone. Please be very careful!"
"You brat, you don't even trust the two of us anymore? Stop rambling on and on!" (Sage Dragon)
Looking at Sage Dragon's sincere face, Old Suo subtly concealed his conscience and then said just as sincerely, "Uncle, it's not that I don't trust you two, but this place is just too important, and we can't afford to make any mistakes."
"Don't worry, brat, this time I'll keep an eye on those two for you and make sure they don't repeat the same mistake!" (Kaldiz)
"If that's the case, then I'm much more at ease! Otherwise, I really wouldn't dare to go to the meeting with peace of mind. After all, if the defenses are breached, even the most top-secret and accurate intelligence will be useless!"
Hearing their conversation, Xian and Sheng exchanged a bewildered glance, then said in unison, "Do we two look that unreliable?"
As soon as they finished speaking, a chorus of responses rang out from all around.
"Don't you all know whether you have it or not?"
Faced with the unanimous condemnation, the two dared not say another word and obediently shrank into a corner, trembling with fear. After resolving the aftermath of the remaining issues, everyone consciously lined up according to the urgency of the matter and took turns to say goodbye to Old Suo.
"Alright, I should get going now. Take care, everyone!"
After saying this, Old Suo waved his hands and disappeared from everyone's sight.
"Everyone, our brother has already left. Let's hurry back to our posts, otherwise we won't be able to face him!"
After being reminded by Diphiya, everyone recovered from their petrification and left the area to return to their respective posts.
A canyon located between Asia City and Yujite Canyon
Looking up at the dense, impenetrable branches of the trees above him, and glancing around at the pitch-black surroundings, Old Suo sighed sincerely, "He's a cautious man!"
"Hehe! What we're doing now is a bit dangerous. If we're not careful, we might both be gone before we even succeed!"
Hearing the strange, unknown sound coming from beside him, Old Suo's body trembled violently. However, the young master was, after all, a dragon who had weathered many storms, and these petty tricks naturally couldn't frighten him (can I not tell you, Young Master Su's legs were shaking the whole time?). After taking a deep breath to calm himself, he shouted towards the front (actually, the young master also wanted to shout directly at the other party, but since he couldn't find them, he could only shout into the dark air ahead): "Since you have proposed a meeting, why won't you show yourself?"
"Your Highness the Prince, we never said we wanted to meet with you; we only proposed an intelligence exchange!"
"Trading intelligence? Sure! But you have to show up, otherwise who am I supposed to trade intelligence with?"
"Heh! Prince Sordil, we're all intelligent people, is there any point in you doing this?"
"Of course it's useful! Our two companies have just started cooperating, and there's a lack of trust between us. Therefore, we need to have an open and honest talk to establish basic trust and create a good start for future cooperation. Of course, if you feel there's no need for long-term cooperation, then we don't need to meet!"
After Sordil finished speaking, a hush fell over the surroundings.
"Wow! They just left without even saying goodbye, how rude!"
He grumbled something ahead, then shook his head and began channeling Space Magic into the Teleportation Array, preparing to flee. It wasn't that Old Suo Old Suo cowardly, but rather that he was forced by circumstances to do so. After all, this was occupied territory; if the enemy tried to bait him, he'd be at a huge disadvantage!
Just as Sordil was about to activate the Teleportation Array to return to Peterburg City, a rustling sound suddenly came from ahead, as if someone was moving quickly through the woods. The young master immediately stopped what he was doing, staring intently ahead. At that moment, a gust of wind swept out, carrying countless fallen leaves, engulfing the young master's entire dragon form.
"Pah! Which bastard has the guts to mess with me like this?"
Before the young master could spit out the withered branches, fallen leaves, and dust from his mouth, a gloating voice reached his ears.
"Prince Sordil, this is not my fault. You were the one who asked me to show myself!"
Hearing that near-perfect voice (the more shameless a person is, the more invincible they become, and the more invincible they are, the more perfect they are, so... hehe!), Sordil had the urge to rush up and punch the other person, but upon reflection, it was indeed his request, so he could only swallow this bitter pill. However, if this guy didn't satisfy him later... hmph! He'd be in for a world of hurt then!
Since I've already swallowed this bitter pill, there are still some things I need to do seriously, otherwise I'll just become a sucker.
"Radiance"
A soft light shone, dispelling the darkness that permeated the shady forest and helping Sordil to see the face of the person opposite him.
"So it was you!"
"Now that Your Highness the Prince knows my identity, may you extinguish it?"
"Of course! After all, I don't want others to know your identity!"
With that, Sordil waved his hand and extinguished the Radiance hanging above his head, restoring the world to its original state.
"Your Highness the Prince, have we now established a basic level of trust?"
"Certainly!"
"Great, shall we begin the transaction now?"
"No problem!"
Cuyis Tree Sea
After arduous exploration and inquiry, traversing thousands of mountains and rivers, and missing countless seasons of gardenia blooming, Zeref, dressed in black and wrapped in a white cloth, finally found the lair of a certain Bandit.
Looking at the vast sea of trees ahead, which resembled a giant maze, the great black magician Zeref exclaimed, "Wow! That Bandit really knows how to pick a place. Not only is the scenery beautiful and the air fresh, but most importantly, anyone who can't fly could never get to his house alive."
A year ago, flying across this sea of trees would have been a piece of cake for Zeref, but now it's an impossible task. Since a year ago, whenever he uses magic, the dark power within him involuntarily surges forth. In other places, this wouldn't be a concern, but he's on his way to find that Bandit. If that power were to erupt now, it would be a real problem!
Left with no other option, Zeref had to resort to the most cumbersome method: hiking through the forest.
"Bandit, Bandit didn't manage to swindle anyone else, but you've ruined me!"
After letting out a loud complaint, Zeref suppressed his grievances and excitement and began his great adventure in the Cuyis Tree Sea.
Central Ishgar, Mysterious Cave
"Shadow, have our people successfully infiltrated our Old Friend's ranks?"
"Reporting to our master, our men have successfully joined the new army under our Old Friend and have arrived in Peterburg City."
"Excellent! Shadow, contact them immediately and tell them not to act rashly and to await my orders."
"Yes, I understand!"
"By the way, Master, our new ally has officially begun contacting our Old Friend. Should we stop them?"
"Oh? So fast? It seems our new ally isn't very popular with them, otherwise they wouldn't be in such a hurry to find outside help."
"If that's the case, why should we cooperate with them?"
"Shadow, those guys in the Western Continent won't treat us differently just because we helped them. Once they defeat our Old Friend, we'll be just like everyone else, either prisoners or their prey. In order to live happily after eliminating our Old Friend, we must find someone willing to coexist with us. That's the value of a new ally."
"I see, thank you for your guidance, Master!"
"Alright, let's not talk about that anymore. Let's talk about those things in the west!"
"Reporting to the master, those beings in the Western Continent have not made any moves so far and are still maintaining a stalemate with their Old Friend."
"Hmph! It seems they've been scared out of their wits by their Old Friend. Otherwise, they wouldn't be so hesitant to attack despite having such an advantage. Well, let's just keep an eye on them. Right now, we should focus our attention on our Old Friend to prevent him from discovering our weakness and launching a counterattack."
"Yes, sir!"
Principality of Normanchey Norman City Sheyo
After completing the intelligence transaction, Sordil did not return to Peterburg City, but instead came here to search for the Five Dragon Kings.
Upon hearing that Sordil had arrived in his defense zone, the excited Huo Huo Fire Dragon King rushed out. Seeing Old Suo, he patted him vigorously on the shoulder and exclaimed excitedly, "Sordil Old Suo, you've finally come! If you hadn't come, you wouldn't have seen your old brother again!"
"Huh! Huh? Brother Igneel, what's wrong? Don't scare me, I haven't spent enough time with you yet, don't leave me alone over there!"
"Hey! What are you thinking, buddy? I mean, if you don't come soon, I'm going to Peterburg City to find you, and then you won't see me!"
Listening to Igneel's explanation, Old Suo really wanted to ask, "Did you study the Fire Dragon King in 21st-century China? How come you're so good at using all sorts of memes?" But he held back, because he had important things to explain next and didn't have time to waste on such trivial matters.
"Brother Igneel, go and gather everyone here. I have something to discuss with you."
"Okay, I'll go and inform everyone right away!"
