Background / History

Qian Renxue is Qian Daoliu’s granddaughter and Bibi Dong’s daughter. While still young, she volunteered to infiltrate the Heaven Dou Empire, replacing Crown Prince Xue Qinghe and maintaining his identity through a near-impenetrable disguise. She conducts court business, reviews intelligence on nobles and princes, and operates from a Crown Prince’s mansion already populated by Spirit Hall personnel. 42

Her mission is closely tied to her desire for Bibi Dong’s acknowledgment. Qian Renxue privately admires her mother’s talent while resenting comparisons to her, believing that the demands of her cover identity have held back her own cultivation. 36 Only a small number of Spirit Hall personnel know of her infiltration; many Titled Douluo do not even know she is alive. 47

Qian Renxue first becomes interested in Mu Zhe after learning that the apparently twelve-year-old youth defeated Xue Beng despite already being a Soul Elder. Unable to identify his Martial Soul or origin, she orders She Long to monitor him and considers recruiting him. 42 While observing Mu Zhe fend off Xue Beng’s hired Soul Masters, she is particularly unsettled by his ability to use Soul Skills without displaying Spirit Rings. 43

Her interest becomes personal after she notices that Mu Zhe possesses a black spider-patterned Soul Tool ring resembling one once worn by Bibi Dong. Convinced the item cannot be coincidental, she suspects Mu Zhe knows something about her mother and seeks information from him under the identity of Xue Qinghe. 36 47

To approach Mu Zhe outside her Crown Prince identity, Qian Renxue arranges for Porcupine Douluo to pressure him while limiting his strength and forbidding him from causing genuine harm. Her intended “rescue” fails to place Mu Zhe at a disadvantage; instead, she witnesses him contend with Porcupine Douluo’s attacks and becomes anxious that he may be too strong for her plan. 50 84 86 She eventually intervenes in her female form and flies away with him. 58

After Mu Zhe recognizes her repeated identities, Qian Renxue stops trying to hide them from him. 59 When he later vanishes, she dispatches She Long and Porcupine Douluo to search Heaven Dou City, then orders an investigation in Spirit City when no trace is found. 55

As “Dong Xue'er,” she later tries to deepen her connection with Mu Zhe through a beauty trap. Her attempt to drug him instead allows Mu Zhe to enter her Sea of Consciousness, where he discovers her Angel Divine Soul. 75 79
