When the word "war" left Shalltear's lips, both Sebas and Solution froze on the spot.

Sebas's earlier concern over "acting on his own" vanished at once, replaced by astonishment as he looked at Shalltear across from him.

The news was simply too unbelievable!

If Shalltear had not said it herself, he would have assumed someone was playing a joke.

"Ah."

Solution's eyes widened in surprise, and she let out a faint cry. Even the stiff expression on her face became more vivid.

This was an improvement in her "acting."

On the surface, Solution appeared to be a beautiful woman with long golden ringlets and a voluptuous figure.

Her true body, however, was a mass of murky slime. Her race was a Predator Slime, capable of freely adjusting itself to mimic different appearances.

She had originally been poor at expressions and emotions, but through observation and imitation, she had now mastered remarkably refined "acting."

In a sense, this was growth as an NPC!

"Wait." After his brief surprise, Sebas suddenly spoke. He stared intently at Shalltear, his tone uncertain. "This may be somewhat abrupt, but there is something I would like to confirm."

As he spoke.

Sebas's kind and gentle butler persona vanished. His aura abruptly intensified, and like an awakened beast, he locked onto Shalltear.

Solution immediately noticed the change and reacted as well, taking two steps back to block Shalltear's retreat.

She understood.

Lord Sebas suspected Lady Shalltear!

Solution had not considered that Shalltear might be an enemy in disguise, but Lord Sebas was her direct superior and possessed greater strength and sharper powers of observation. Perhaps he had noticed something unusual.

"Huh?"

"What are you doing, Sebas?!" Shalltear's slightly excited expression stiffened. Faced with this inexplicable suspicion, her gaze turned dangerous.
