Carol Danvers and the Skrull Incident

Fury first encounters Li Feng during the events involving Carol Danvers, Maria Rambeau, Talos, and the Skrulls. He immediately distrusts Li Feng, recognizes him through a disguise, and attempts to determine what he knows about aliens. When the Kree Cruiser becomes too dangerous, Fury prioritizes the surviving Skrulls’ escape and leaves Li Feng behind. 13 14 18

Investigation of Li Feng

Fury becomes obsessed with uncovering Li Feng’s identity, origins, and capabilities. He secretly tracks Li Feng, confronts him in his RV, studies the resurrection information Li Feng provides, and attempts to have him detained after confirming that he possesses dangerous magic. Li Feng escapes through a Portal before Fury can act. 46 49

Fury later accepts that Li Feng is probably a Mage rather than an alien, but his suspicion only intensifies after discovering the RV’s flight and invisibility capabilities. 104 106

Fury relies on Li Feng’s forces during the Chitauri invasion, later crediting the Dementor army, the animated Statues of Liberty, and the Iron Eagle with disrupting Loki’s plans and easing pressure on the Avengers. 230 234

Nuclear Weapon Crisis

When Li Feng threatens New York with a nuclear weapon unless Fury hands over those responsible for ordering an attack on Thor and Loki, Fury is forced to balance his loyalty to Coulson against the World Security Council.
