Slytherin Common Room.
Moriarty packed his belongings. There was not much to take, really; he only took the Scabbard of the Lake Sword.
At night, Moriarty walked out of Hogwarts Castle with Poseidon perched on his shoulder, then looked back at the campus.
Two figures rushed over from behind.
"Are you leaving without even saying goodbye?"
Jericho ran up to Moriarty. "Are you planning to defeat Light and Gamp alone?"
Lilith appeared behind Moriarty, her beautiful eyes filled with concern.
Moriarty looked at the two of them and smiled. He walked over, wrapped his right arm around Lilith's waist, and patted Jericho's shoulder with his left hand.
"I'm not leaving without saying goodbye," Moriarty said.
"And I'm not going to fight Light and Gamp alone. Why fight one-on-one when we can gang up on them, right?"
"Besides, I'm not alone. I never have been."
Jericho sighed in relief. "I thought you'd lost your mind. You know, brother, you've been acting way too strangely lately."
"I'm fine." Moriarty shook his head. "I just discovered Light's true identity."
"Who is he?" Lilith asked nervously.
Moriarty stared into Lilith's eyes. "There's an eighty percent chance it's him. I'm going to verify my discovery."
"Once I confirm it, I'll write you a letter and have everyone take refuge in China. Xue'er will get everyone settled—Europe is the battlefield. Trust me, Light and Gamp will unleash disaster across Europe."
"Then why not let us go with you?" Jericho said. "Since you already have a suspicion, let's verify it together."
Lilith said nothing. She merely rested her head against Moriarty's chest.
There were rumors that Light's true identity was Salazar Slytherin.
Lilith did not dare imagine how much pain Moriarty would face if it were true.
Lilith only wanted to help Moriarty.
"All right, all right."
