Background / History

Lena first arrives on Earth as a noble yet inexperienced alien goddess. Fascinated by Earth’s fashion, food, and everyday novelty, she initially has no money and must ask General Dukao for funding. Her unfamiliarity with local customs contrasts with the confidence with which she calls herself a goddess. 51

She becomes Xiong Bing Lian’s combat-training instructor, tasked with preparing Earth’s newly awakened Super Soldiers for an alien invasion. Though she begins harshly, she respects the trainees after they collectively challenge her authority, recognizing that their unity is a promising start. 55

During Earth’s unification under the Alliance, Lena remains relatively free after completing training duties and spends much of her time observing the rapidly changing society. Her encounters with Qi Lin expose her to the Alliance’s surveillance, enforcement, public order, and political structure. 66 67

Lena later disappears after suffering recurring nightmares of Lieyang’s destruction, rebellion, Pan Zhen’s death, and her own capture. Black Wind abducts and controls her; under this manipulation, Lena is used to kill Kaisha by unleashing the supernova that causes the King of Gods’ fall. 108 111 135

Karl eventually returns Lena to Earth unconscious. After recovering, she is shaken by having been treated as a tool and by the consequences of Kaisha’s death, but resumes contact with Xiong Bing Lian and gradually returns to her outwardly boisterous “big sister” role. 122 123 126

Her time on Earth changes her priorities. She studies its governance, seeks Qi Lin’s advice on politics and crime prevention, and comes to believe that she must become a more capable ruler for Lieyang. 146 147

When Xuan Tianji uses her abduction as a pretext to invade Earth, Lena attempts to stop the battle through her authority. The crisis forces her to confront her lack of prestige within Lieyang and to take responsibility for both Earth and her own people. 149 150 151

After returning to Lieyang, Lena studies emperorship, builds influence within the army, probes the court, and becomes increasingly involved in state decisions. She ultimately leads Lieyang into the Justice Alliance. 194 299 300 306

Appearance

Lena is a gorgeous young woman with a noble, goddess-like bearing and a curvaceous figure. Her regal presence is often undercut by her casual, playful manner of speaking. 51

  • Wears a black cinched-waist outfit when first seen on Earth. 51
  • Often appears in a black coat with a valiant, dashing air. 55
  • Can manifest black Dark Alloy Armor, giving her the appearance of a battlefield valkyrie. 55 136
  • Later appears beneath a crown as Lieyang’s queen. 299

Personality

Early in her time on Earth, Lena is uninhibited, curious, and impulsive. She openly indulges her interest in clothing, food, entertainment, and travel, while teasing others without much concern for social restraint. 51 66 67

As an instructor, she is assertive and enjoys displaying her power, but she is not needlessly antagonistic. When Xiong Bing Lian stands together against her, she adjusts her approach instead of escalating the conflict. 55

Her abduction and role in Kaisha’s death leave her anxious, defensive, and ashamed of being manipulated. These experiences, along with witnessing the consequences of weak authority during Xuan Tianji’s invasion, drive her toward political study and greater responsibility. 135 149 150 151

As Lieyang’s ruler, Lena becomes observant, calculating, and capable of difficult decisions. She remains concerned for her people and seeks peace and prosperity for them, but accepts that leadership may require decisiveness and ruthlessness. 194 221 304
