Background

Yan initially served as Queen Kaisha's Left Wing Guardian. After locating Morgana's trail on Earth and confirming Carl's Taotie invasion, she returned to Merlo Heavenly Court to report her findings. Kaisha subsequently assigned her to remain near Earth, supervise the Pan-Human Federation's development, and guide it toward Kaisha's interpretation of justice. 101 103 106

While on Earth, Yan investigated Lena's disappearance and confronted the Xiong Bing Lian. She regarded their inexperience critically, particularly Ge Xiaolun's immaturity, but still warned them to train and grow stronger. 108

After Kaisha's fall, Yan sought aid for injured angels from Han Fei. Their negotiations exposed her to political maneuvering and the importance of power, prestige, and interests in inter-civilizational affairs. She resolved to return to Merlo Heavenly Court, succeed Kaisha, and preserve angelic justice. 120 121

Yan's succession was contested in practice even when accepted in principle. Angel Leng doubted whether Yan was suited to the throne, while Hexi considered her a “pure warrior” rather than a natural ruler and repeatedly tested her judgment. Yan nevertheless accepted the burden of leadership and gradually developed the resolve and strategic thinking expected of an Angel King. 122 186 187 213

Appearance

Yan is a golden-haired angel whose demeanor initially combines a faintly frivolous charm with confidence and heroic poise. As Angel Queen, she adopts royal attire, a crown, braided hair, and a red cape that emphasize her authority. 101 108 213 274

  • Long golden hair and delicate features. 101
  • White angel wings and a red-glowing Blade of Flames. 219
  • Royal attire and crown after assuming the throne. 213 274
  • Red cape and a more severe, queenly bearing during the demon war. 226 274

Personality

Yan is forthright, fearless, and confident under pressure. When surrounded by Xiong Bing Lian, she neither showed fear nor tolerated Liu Chuang's disrespect, bluntly identifying herself as an angel and demanding basic manners. 108

Her defining conviction is justice. Yan rejects treating justice as a personal possession, insisting that it belongs to all civilizations. Even after Kaisha's death and the angels' military decline, she remains determined to punish Morgana, Carl, and the demons for their actions. 120 121 286

Leadership forces Yan to confront doubts she did not face as a warrior. She questions whether she is suited to be queen, blames herself for defeats, and recognizes her failure to anticipate betrayal by civilizations the angels once protected. Each setback makes her more practical and decisive rather than abandoning her ideals. 186 226 237 261 262

Abilities & Skills

Angel Physiology and Combat

Yan is an elite angelic warrior, formerly one of Kaisha's Wing Guardians. Even before becoming queen, she could move through a group of Super Soldiers without concern and assess their combat potential. 101 108

  • Uses the Blade of Flames in combat. 101 219
  • Commands and deploys her wings in battle; later manifests towering Silver Wings. 281 293
  • Is capable of fighting and commanding amid large-scale interstellar warfare. 219 226
  • Was decisively defeated by Hexi in a prior test, exposing the gap between her and the older Angel King. 186

Eye of Insight

Yan uses the Eye of Insight to investigate and monitor targets, including Han Fei. 107

  • Searched for Han Fei after observing the Pan-Human Federation's extensive ideological, economic, and military control. 107
  • Her ability to investigate is limited by sufficiently unusual or protected targets; Han Fei's information remained difficult to analyze even through angelic methods. 276

Command and Strategy

As Angel Queen, Yan commands angel fleets and allied civilizations across multiple battlefields. 219 226

  • Rallying civilizations to join the war against the demons. 219
  • Ordering fleet movements, concentrated fire, and deployments across the Olympus Nebula. 226
  • Relieving Fan Xing of command after the Eastern Front's defeat and assigning Zhixin to stabilize the situation and rescue captured angels. 261
  • Negotiating the Justice Alliance with Han Fei while demanding proof that his forces could materially affect the war. 274 276

Statue of the Great Angel

Yan possesses and commands the Statue of the Great Angel, an angelic war weapon left by Kaisha. 237

  • Requires extensive debugging and computing power before use. 237
  • Takes the form of a colossal angelic statue armed with a greatsword. 260 293
  • Can identify weak points in enemy energy concentrations and break encirclements. 260
  • Served as Yan's intended decisive weapon against demon forces. 237

Sacred Knowledge Treasury and Silver Wings

Hexi transferred the Sacred Knowledge Treasury to Yan after recognizing her as Angel King. 281

  • Hexi — senior Angel King, mentor, and persistent evaluator of Yan's leadership. Hexi ultimately recognizes Yan as Angel King and grants her the Sacred Knowledge Treasury. 186 213 281
  • Angel Zhixin — trusted subordinate and close companion. Zhixin supports Yan during moments of self-doubt, assists with the Statue of the Great Angel, and commands forces under Yan's authority. 237 261 262
  • Angel Leng — fellow angel and initially skeptical ally. Leng follows Yan because Kaisha ordered it, but comes to recognize Yan's commitment to justice. 120 122
  • Han Fei — political ally and ideological counterpart. Yan negotiated aid and the Justice Alliance with him, while remaining wary of his ambition and his desire to redefine justice. 121 274 280 290
  • Morgana — primary enemy of Yan and the Angel Civilization. Yan considers defeating her essential to restoring justice. 121 213 293
  • Carl — enemy whom Yan holds responsible alongside Morgana for Kaisha's fall. 121 286
