Watching so many fellow martial artists leave upright only to return horizontal, rolling across the ground like gourds, the Kunlun Seven Sons all rose at once with furious shouts. Their swords flashed from their sheaths as they darted out of the inn.
Outside, they saw four burly men standing still as they carried a redwood sedan chair.
Other than them, there was no one else worth noticing.
At that moment, a mocking laugh came from within the sedan chair, identical to the earlier taunting voice. How could the Kunlun Seven Sons not realize that the person who had acted and spoken earlier was inside? They all shouted and surrounded the chair, attacking it.
The four burly men carrying the sedan chair seemed not to see the seven renowned Kunlun experts at all. Nor did they see the gleaming swords thrusting toward the chair. Like lifeless objects shouldering the sedan, they stood there stiffly without moving.
Just as the Kunlun Seven Sons grew suspicious, the sedan curtain suddenly lifted without any wind.
Two long, broad palms emerged from behind the curtain, transforming into thousands upon thousands of palm shadows. They whipped up force like raging winds and crashing waves, striking out savagely.
