As the Federation moved to outlaw Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect, Yun Ming gathered allies while Chen An rose through the War God Hall and took charge of the campaign against the Tang Sect. The Federation began assembling forces to purge the branches and besiege Shrek City, setting a three-month timetable.

• Yun Ming admitted that summoning Abyss Creatures had been a mistake, then rallied Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect against what he said was the Federation’s plan to destroy them.
• Yun Ming told Chen Xinjie that Long Yeyue had died at Chen An’s hands, and Chen Xinjie agreed to restrain military forces and help protect Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect.
• The Federation demanded that Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect disband within fifteen days, while public support for the order left the factions feeling betrayed.

• Chen An captured dozens of Tang Sect Branches, while other groups’ attacks failed and one branch’s self-destruction caused massive civilian casualties.
• Chen An confronted Chief of General Staff Shen at a press conference, defended the Federation’s campaign, and warned residents to evacuate Shrek City.
• The Federation promoted Chen An and backed his continued operations as he discussed capturing Shen and revealed that the Soul-Seizing Bell had helped him find the Tang Sect’s underground shelters.

After the Federation convicted Chief of General Staff Shen, the remaining legions debated whether to surrender their Tang Sect allies or resist Chen An.

• Chen An confronted Shen Hongtao at the Northern Sea Legion with Federation warrants, then fought his way into the base and captured him while the legion split between resistance and defection.
• Chen An led his allies into the Tang Sect’s underwater base, where they killed its defenders and destroyed the facility while Federation leaders argued over his actions.
