Mu Duo tugged at Bai Yujun, trying to leave.
Compared to something as unlikely as the world ending, Mu Duo cared more about the gluttonous sacred beast. Having been together for centuries, their bond ran deep. She wanted to drag the gluttonous flood dragon back to the Southern Wasteland, never to emerge again—even if it meant sitting by the window every day, watching the sea of clouds.
She tugged, but Bai Yujun would not budge. Mu Duo was puzzled. Since when had this flood dragon, so terrified of death, changed her nature?
"Little White?"
Bai Yujun's eyes were bloodshot, her expression burning. She gripped the dragon spear that had flown back to her of its own accord, gritting her teeth.
"Mu, if I want to survive in the future, I have to gamble. If I lose, take my corpse back to the Southern Wasteland and bury me in Sinkhole Deep Pool, so no one can skin me, pull out my bones, and refine me into a magic treasure. But if I win, I won't die even after seventy thousand years!"
"What are you going to do? Don't take risks!"
"The bold starve the timid to death! At worst, I'll die with my four claws in the air and my belly facing the sky!"
Mu Duo thought Bai Yujun had gone mad. Her eyes were filled with madness. She knew that her companion had only one greatest obsession: staying alive. To survive, Bai Yujun feared no hardship or danger.
That pretty face suddenly turned deathly pale, as though she had suffered a grave internal injury. Her cheeks puffed up, as if she were holding something in her small mouth...
"Don't do anything reckless!"
Bai Yujun turned back and gave a miserable smile, then raised her spear and charged the Black Bone
