Background / History
Aurora founded the Prophecy School and created the Star Chart used throughout the Land of Wizards. Her school holds that destiny can be discerned through stellar orbits, arguing that events are determined from their beginning; Harov openly rejects this interpretation of the stars. 148
Already known as the Legendary Witch, Aurora secretly observed Lynn's early planetary-theory seminar and considered the concept of massive stars attracting smaller planets compelling. She pursued access to Harov's Ring of Secret Magic out of interest in the Secret Magic Society and its knowledge of the universe. 148 151
Although she initially held the conventional title of “Legendary,” the later revelation of the true advancement system showed that an actual Legendary required an Energy Body. Aurora ultimately completed this advancement alongside Harov, then continued through the nine-ring realm and ascended as the Goddess of Optics. 474 493 660 664
Appearance
Aurora presents herself as a young witch despite being older than Harov, whom she often irritates by deliberately acting youthful. 148
- Appears to be around twenty-six or twenty-seven years old. 148
- Wears a bright red dress and a pointed witch's hat. 148
- Has long, curled eyelashes and blue-purple eyes. 148 169
- Commonly appears with a charming or playful smile. 148 169
Personality
Aurora is playful, sly, and unafraid to provoke fellow Speakers. She frequently needles Harov over his skepticism toward prophecy and uses sharp wording to turn political discussions in the Council's favor. 148 385
Her curiosity is especially focused on astronomy, optics, and unfamiliar magical theories. She quickly recognized the potential importance of Lynn's work, explored methods of measuring light speed through astronomy, and sought to understand the principles behind Plasma State and Laser Magic. 148 322 399
In war, Aurora is pragmatic rather than reckless. She ordered a western breakout when the Wizards' fleet was surrounded, declined to pursue the Empire after ammunition was depleted, and personally ended the suffering of soldiers left critically wounded by a nuclear blast. 374 376 434
Abilities & Skills
Star Divination and Astronomy
Aurora's original field is the study of stars, celestial motion, and destiny.
- Founded the Prophecy School's doctrine that stellar orbits can reveal a person's fate. 148
- Created the Star Chart circulated across the Land of Wizards. 148
- Uses long-term astronomical observation to track celestial irregularities, including the unprecedented early arrival of Moon Day. 495
- Proposed using distant celestial bodies to help measure the speed of light. 322
Polarization and Visual Magic
Aurora is a master of polarized magic, using it for concealment, evasion, and survival.
- Can become invisible while concealing her Magic Power and evading most detection spells. 148 184
- Her polarized concealment is difficult to detect, though Harov can see through it and Lynn has identified her presence on multiple occasions. 148 184
- Can erase severe visible bodily damage, including a spatial-distortion wound that appeared to split her body apart. 184
- Her survivability relies on locating the “true target”; damaging an apparent body alone may be ineffective. 184
- Avoided using her Energy Body for rapid travel after learning of Quantum Theory, instead developing a temporary aerial-travel spell with near-subsonic speed. 523
Avatars and Mirror Magic
Aurora can project power through prepared media and leave spells behind for allies.
- Used a magical mark on Lynn's forehead as a projection coordinate, allowing an avatar to persist near him in emergencies. 193 410
- Her avatar intercepted August's attack with Mirror Shift—Heaven and Earth, redirecting destructive energy before disintegrating. 193
- Left Lynn the spell True Mirror when her avatar was destroyed; Lynn used its principles to channel a magnetic field for his Electromagnetic Railgun. 193 194
- Created a Magic Power projection device capable of recording mimicked elemental movement and replaying it from a special container. 574
Light and Laser Magic
Aurora developed exceptional offensive applications for light-based magic, later matching her divine position.
- Recognized that focused light magic could become a primary combat weapon rather than merely a support discipline. 326
- Killed an Empire Cardinal Bishop before he could complete a powerful Divine Spell during the Sea of Mists battle. 375
- Damaged the Empire's flagship with a laser beam. 375
- Used laser fire to confirm that Pope Alvis's altered Holy City was physically real rather than an illusion. 497
- Ultimately ascended with the divine position of Light, becoming the Goddess of Optics. 664
Electromagnetic Magic
Aurora can reproduce and apply Lynn's electromagnetic theories in combat.
- Cast a hastily assembled Electromagnetic Railgun at roughly Mach 6 using magnetically accelerated metal projectiles. 432
- Used crystals as nodes for Chain Lightning, creating a broad electromagnetic net that restrained Cynthia's energy form. 483
- Combined electromagnetic restraint with Harov's spatial attack to shred Cynthia's damaged body. 483
Domains and Defensive Magic
Aurora can use Domains for battlefield defense and containment.
- Expanded her Domain into a dense iron-element ring to protect allies from nuclear radiation. 434
- Her protection could mitigate immediate radiation exposure, though prolonged time in the blast zone remained dangerous even for Legendary Wizards. 434
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Ring of Secret Magic — Activates at midnight to connect Aurora and other participants with the Secret Magic Society's cosmic meeting space. 516
- Crystalline electromagnetic nodes — Palm-sized crystals used to establish Aurora's Chain Lightning restraint field. 483

- Lynn — Calls him her “Brown Star,” personally awarded him the Corona Medal, placed a projection mark on him, and sacrificed an avatar to protect him during August's attack. Her reasons for marking him remain undisclosed. 169 193 199
- Vittorio — Fellow Speaker and collaborator in Council affairs, wartime strategy, and the pursuit of higher realms. Vittorio ultimately accepted Aurora's priority for the final Star of Life. 170 474 660
- Tick — Naval commander who served under Aurora during the Sea of Mists campaign; Aurora issued the strategic orders while Tick directed execution. 374 376
- Ella — A major adversary whose strength and Divine Descent Technique concern Aurora throughout the war against the Holy See. 335 377 499
- Cynthia — Church Saintess whom Aurora restrained with an electromagnetic field before suffering the loss of her right arm to Cynthia's counterattack. 483 484
Story Role / Major Arcs
- Secret Magic Society investigation — Aurora seeks access to the Secret Magic Society, debates astronomical theory with Harov, and becomes increasingly aware that the Land of Wizards' knowledge may be outdated. 148 151
- Corona Medal ceremony — She personally pins the Corona Medal on Lynn, kisses his forehead, and publicly calls him her Brown Star, creating widespread speculation among the gathered Wizards. 169

Notable Quotes
“Good afternoon, my Brown Star...” 169
“No matter how powerful the magic, if you don't find the true target, it's just a wasted effort...” 184
Trivia
- Aurora's “Brown Star” designation for Lynn originates from her prophecy that “the main star is hidden, and the brown star hangs high,” a sign associated with chaos, disaster, and possible hope. 148
- Despite being regarded as one of the strongest Speakers, Harov and Vittorio consider Aurora superior to them in survival, largely because of her mastery of Polarization Magic. 371
- Aurora was the first among the Speakers to complete her nine-ring promotion, though Vittorio had reached eight-ring Legendary first. 660
