Background / History

The Multiverse Exchange City originally stretched through the chaotic void and admitted beings from all worlds without restricting how many entrants came from the same world. Anyone holding a Trading Token could enter, and the city could expand without limit despite its ten-thousand-foot walls. Its time-and-space power placed visitors from different eras, parallel spaces, and dimensions into the same apparent marketplace without overcrowding it. 98 101

Before its fall, the city was controlled by the transmigrator Qin Feng. His authority was only three-star, and the city had only recently opened; its clientele was therefore generally weak, while Cloud Heaven Pavilion had opened only its first nine floors because Qin lacked higher-order stock. Although he regarded himself as invincible inside the city, he had not mastered much of its authority and did not understand its true condition. 103 104

The city’s instability originated in its attempt to absorb the core fragment of a damaged Tier 30 supreme treasure containing nine Source Great Daos. Using the remaining seven Dao powers within the fragment, it forcibly swallowed the Time and Space Source Great Daos. Unable to digest them, it consumed its own origin to suppress the backlash and frantically collected world origins in an attempt to stabilize itself. 119

The Multiverse Chat Group invaded during a clash of Time-Space Great Dao powers. The city sealed its gates, suppressed residents attempting to flee, and annihilated troublemakers, but its unstable Great Dao could not withstand the Chat Group's strengthened foundation. Qin Feng was annihilated, the city was reduced to ruins, and the Chat Group seized its origin and permissions. 113 114

Bai Yu received all city-lord permissions and rebuilt the city. The Chat Group refined the supreme treasure fragment in minutes, resolved the Time-Space instability, and made Multiverse City effectively part of itself while granting the city authority to use its Great Dao power. 118 120

Under Bai Yu's administration, the city reopened with a new layout, All-Heavens Tokens, a Spirit Stone-based currency system, and digitized management. It later became a major resource hub for Chat Group members and connected to vast numbers of Lesser and Greater Worlds, though it did not openly distribute tokens in Grand Cosmoses. 121 129 429

Multiverse City is enclosed by ancient, weathered bluestone walls ten thousand feet high. Its restored exterior is deliberately solemn and intimidating, while its rebuilt interior is landscaped like an Immortal Realm rather than the plain, uniform city built under Qin Feng. 118 130

• Four gates — Azure Dragon Gate, White Tiger Gate, Vermillion Bird Gate, and Black Tortoise Gate; each bears a stone sculpture of its corresponding Holy Beast. 118
