Since becoming Hokage, the Third Hokage had never felt as powerless as he did now.

He could not understand where Gigue had come from, or why he possessed power so far beyond the Ninja World's understanding.

And why had someone like that descended upon Konoha of all places?

At that thought, the Third Hokage's face darkened. Then, a vigorous voice rang out.

"Third Hokage, since Ninjutsu is useless, let me handle this!"

The Third Hokage froze and turned toward a watermelon-headed man in the crowd. Dressed in a green bodysuit and standing ramrod straight, his attire and temperament made him stand out among the gathered ninja like a crane among chickens.

He was Might Guy, known as Konoha's Proud Blue Beast!

Upon noticing Guy in the distance, Lily frowned and said,

"Who's that watermelon head? He's so ugly."

Naturally, Gigue knew Guy. He sized him up with great interest and said,

"Ugly? I think he's got a bit of charm."

"...Are you serious?"

Gigue nodded at Lily with complete seriousness. Meanwhile, Guy had already walked over to the Third Hokage. The Third Hokage was one of the few people in Konoha who truly understood Guy's strength. In terms of Taijutsu alone, even he, the Hokage, was no match for Guy.

With Gigue's ability to nullify Ninjutsu, the ninja present had effectively been crippled seven or eight tenths of the way. Of course, ninja still had Taijutsu, but the Third Hokage did not believe many of them could go toe-to-toe with Gigue.
