Desperate Strength

Three medical ninja carried out a stretcher, intending to move Might Guy to the rear. But as they lifted his body, his eyelids trembled a few times, and he slowly regained consciousness.

"Have I come to the world of the dead...?"

Might Guy was clearly still a little disoriented after waking up. The moment Kakashi heard his voice, he rushed to his side and exclaimed joyfully,

"Guy! You're awake!!"

When Might Guy saw Kakashi, his eyes widened. He shot upright and cried out in shock,

"Kakashi!? Why are you here too?!"

Kakashi froze for a moment, then understood that Might Guy still thought he was dead. He quickly explained,

"What nonsense are you talking about? You're alive! We're still in Konoha!"

"What!?"

After learning from Kakashi that he had not died, Might Guy instead wore an expression of utter disbelief. He had opened the Gate of Death! All the blood in his body had been burned dry. How could he possibly survive that?

Then Might Guy was suddenly startled. If he had not died, then what about Gigue?

After unleashing Night Guy, he had practically lost consciousness. He had no way of seeing what happened afterward.

Thinking of this, Might Guy pushed aside Kakashi, who was looking at him with concern, and immediately spotted Gigue standing not far ahead.

Seeing that Gigue only had some torn clothing and slight redness and swelling around his abdomen, while otherwise still looking as spirited as ever, Might Guy's heart sank.

Even his full-force strike under the Gate of Death had only achieved that much? Was this guy even human!?

As for Gigue, he was staring at his palm with a thoughtful expression, completely ignoring the surrounding ninja.

Even so, not a single ninja dared to make a move.
