After receiving the meal box from the elf waiter, Roy thanked him and the waiter even helped Roy close the cabin door.

The cabin was not stuffy at all; it was well-ventilated and quite cool.

Roy placed the lunchbox on the table and noticed that it had different lids; the lunchbox itself had its own lid, and the cup had its own lid...

Roy tried gently lifting the lid and found different kinds of cut fruit inside, including the berries he had seen in the Magala Jungle. Roy picked one up and popped it into his mouth. The Highborne elves really ate exquisite food.

In addition to various cut fruits, there were also two cups of fruit tea with honey, which were a little on the sweeter side.

In the corner of the plate were two Elf Biscuit, which were considered the elves' marching rations. They were made by pressing together the kernels of the Tree of Life with some Maple Syrup. Roy had seen them in the general store; they were quite expensive...

Roy ate two berries and then took two slices of an unidentified milky-white pulp to taste; the texture was like seedless White Pitaya.

The cabin was really small, but very exquisite...

Klayr lay on the top bunk, his even breathing revealing how tired he truly was.

If you look closely, this guy's delicate face is indeed more refined than most Silver Moon Elf.

Roy lay in bed for a while but couldn't fall asleep. Worried that tossing and turning in bed would disturb Klayr's rest, he tidied his clothes and went out of the cabin.

As they walked down the corridor, the elven servant stood up and asked Roy what he needed.

Roy pointed to the exit at the end of the corridor, said, "I want to go up on the deck and feel the sea breeze," and walked up to the deck.

The Nautilus was leaving the harbor, its sails billowing, its bow cutting through the azure waters, sailing south smoothly.

Climbing the narrow staircase on the outside of the Ship Building's Ship Building, we reached the rooftop, which was a viewing platform. Near the bow, there was a canopy with several tables and chairs under it. Some young people sat there, enjoying the sea view and chatting.

Bertha waved to Roy from the very edge of the observation deck.

Roy walked over, Theresa had already given up her seat, saying kindly to Roy:

"I didn't expect you to attend Ms. Edith's Sea Dance. I rarely see you at the academy..."

"Haha, maybe the classes were perfectly scheduled."

Roy and Theresa bumped fists.

Bertha sat in the chair, leaned over, and asked Roy with great curiosity, "Roy, how do you know Edith?"

Roy took the juice from Theresa and explained, "She and I are studying Modern Elf History together."

Bertha blinked, somewhat disbelieving Roy's statement:

"That's all? Modern Elf History is one of the few large courses in the academy. I heard there are over two hundred students?"

"Edith and I are in the same study group," Roy said.

"That makes sense."

Everyone sat on the rooftop enjoying the sea breeze as the Nautilus gradually left Castleton Port.

As the crew adjusted the angle of the Main Sail on deck, and the triangular sail at the bow billowed up, Roy felt as if an invisible hand was pushing the Nautilus from behind, propelling it forward through the waves.

Driven by the wind, some of the thinner masts even emitted a stubborn, persistent sound.

"Do Elven Nobles often hold balls like this?"

Roy took a sip of juice and asked Theresa curiously.

Bertha answered this question:

"These kinds of dances only happen in October. The weather is good at sea now, but they won't be available after this season."

As the Nautilus hurtled out to sea.

The land in the direction of Castleton City gradually disappeared below the horizon, leaving only the Tree of Life on the mountaintop and the statue of the elven heroine Bernice above the sea.

The sea breeze wasn't too strong, and after three hours of sailing, the Nautilus arrived at the Outer Sea.

There is no land in sight anymore, and the sea has changed from azure to deep blue...

There were only a few tiny ripples on the sea surface.

As the sun sets into the sea, the surface appears to be covered with a layer of golden scales.

The azure sky seemed to be dyed with ink, constantly deepening until twinkling stars appeared in the inky black sky.

The sails are raised, the anchor is lowered, and the ship rests in the deep blue sea.

On the Nautilus, the crew had already begun preparing for the dance.

Carbide Lamp hung from the outside of the ship's sides, from the mainmast's crossbar, and from the mast atop the Ship Building...

The ball was set up on the deck below the mainmast, where two elven servants laid out a blanket.

Edith even hired a band in Castleton for the evening's dance.

The band was set up on the platform at the bow of the ship, where the musicians gathered to study the score.

Roy stood curiously to the side.

Roy recognized some of the instruments these players were playing, but he couldn't name almost any of them.

He only recognized the organ placed in the very center of the bow of the ship.

Klayr is very good at playing the organ.

Roy thought it was similar to a piano...

The elven waiters set up a row of long tables on the side near the Ship Building.

The dining table was covered with a clean white tablecloth, and decorated with fresh flowers, a basket of fresh fruit, and some delicate fruit platters with small pieces of fruit. Many of the small pieces of fruit were even garnished with honey.

Several wine barrels were set up next to the dining table, along with some juice barrels filled with ice.

On the shelf to the side, rows of exquisite crystal glasses were neatly arranged.

After a clean red carpet was laid on the deck, some young Silver Moon Elf girls, dressed in beautiful dancing dresses, came out of the cabins in twos and threes.

The Dance Floor was surrounded by Silver Moon Elf.

The elven men, dressed in exquisite formal attire, were chatting reservedly with the elven women.

Roy wanted to go up to the deck to watch the fun, and as soon as he arrived below the Ship Building, he saw several elves gathered together, laughing and chatting.

As he brushed past several elves, he noticed two of them frowning, subtly placing their index fingers under their noses, and giving Roy a look full of disdain...

Roy walked around the deck with his cup in his hand.

Many Silver Moon Elf cast strange glances at Roy, much like the way he used to attend those boring balls with Ms. Belinda when he was a child.

This suddenly made Roy feel bored, so he simply went back to the top of the Ship Building.

Feel the sea breeze.

A soft melody could be heard coming from the bow of the ship.

My bad mood also eased up...

The music probably attracted a few dolphins, who were restless and kept jumping around the ship, splashing water everywhere.

Roy held onto the railing with both hands, his eyes following the dolphins.

Soft music played from the bow of the Nautilus, Silver Moon Elf standing at the edge of the Dance Floor looked on with anticipation. They wore beautiful dance dresses and showed off their slender waists and long legs under their thin skirts.

The elf men invited their female companions, and together they stepped onto the Dance Floor and danced gracefully to soothing music.

Ms. Edith, dressed in her finest attire, emerged from her room on the Ship Building, accompanied by her best Ms. Edith Phyllis a group of young companions.

Although these young elf girls were not as beautiful or dressed as Edith and Phyllis, they were still very pretty and attracted the attention of most of the men on the deck.

As Ms. Edith descended from the second floor, several Elven Nobles immediately lined up to invite Ms. Edith to dance.

Ms. Edith responded very politely to the Elven Nobles.

After dancing several dances, Ms. Edith's nose was covered in a fine sheen of sweat. She then politely declined the invitation from the Elven Nobles behind her, saying that she needed to rest for a while.

Phyllis's best friend, was still spinning around on the Dance Floor, showing no intention of taking a break.

She looked up and saw Roy standing on the top floor, his hands on the railing, enjoying the sea breeze.

Ms. Edith walked up to the Ship Building, holding a cup in one hand and lifting her skirt with the other.

Arriving beside Roy and standing shoulder to shoulder with him, Ms. Edith turned to look at Roy. The sea breeze tousled her silver curly hair, but her smile was beautiful.

"Why are you here all alone? You should be more proactive. Not all elves are xenophobic; they're just a little arrogant. So don't shut yourself off just because of the attitude of a few elves."

Ms. Edith said to Roy with a smile.

Then she turned around, stretched out her hand to Roy, smiled at him, and said, "Come on, dance with me!"

Roy looked a little embarrassed and said, "I'm not very good at dancing."

Ms. Edith grabbed Roy's hand without saying a word, pulling him downstairs, and said:

"It's alright, just follow my pace slowly."

The Silver Moon Elf standing on the deck would occasionally glance at Ms. Edith.

Naturally, we then witnessed Edith leading Roy onto the Dance Floor.

It was only then that everyone began to notice this Half-Elf and inquired about his identity and background.

When the dance ended, Ms. Edith still had to deal with the other elves, so she left Roy by the Dance Floor.

Because he danced with Ms. Edith, some elves immediately approached Roy and started talking to him.

However, once the elves learned that Roy was just Edith's classmate and had no identity or background of his own, most of the Silver Moon Elf made excuses to leave.

Roy, holding a glass, stood at the edge of the Dance Floor, alone once again.

This time, he didn't rush to the Ship Building to enjoy the sea breeze, since it was too conspicuous there.

Roy walked to the long table with fruit platters, picked out a few unfamiliar fruits, put them in an empty plate, and stood beside the table to savor them carefully.

Klayr, dressed in a formal gown, yawned as she emerged from the cabin and searched for Roy in the crowd after leaving the Ship Building.

Fortunately, there weren't many elves in Roy's area. Klayr walked through the crowd, strode over to Roy's side, picked up a plate from the table, chose a few kinds of fruit, and then moved closer to Roy.

The two of them ate together...

Klayr stared at the elfin beauties dancing on the Dance Floor, complaining to Roy, "Roy, the ball has already started, why didn't you call me?"

I'm recommending a book called * Shadow Apostle * by Jingcheng Langzi. It has a rich steampunk and steel-themed style, belonging to the traditional fantasy genre of eerie mystery. It's definitely worth adding to your collection. It's currently in its new release period, so you'll need to keep reading. If you're interested, you absolutely must check it out.
