Tines Village
Tines Village is a small village in the south of Padesto City. Almost all the villagers are Half-Elf. They usually make a living by collecting Magic Herbs, and some Half-Elf hunters go to the south to hunt magical beasts in the jungle.
However, north of the Griffon Bulwark, the number of low-level magical beasts in the forest is decreasing, and the elven hunters are reaping fewer and fewer rewards.
The high-level magical beasts had already fled to the deep mountains and marshes south of the Griffon Bulwark as soon as the elves entered the Pattington Plane.
The villagers here are now facing increasingly difficult lives, and they are starting to look for new ways out.
The village's elf hunters were also considering whether they could get over the Griffon Bulwark...
Guide Majeri is very familiar with many of the village's elves, mainly because each elf can live a long time. Even if you only meet once a year, over time you will become friends.
Moreover, Majeri is a guide, and he knows a lot of things that other elves don't, so Majeri very popular in Tines Village.
He explained the current situation of Tines Village to Instructor Nora, and then led Instructor Nora into Tines Village.
Instructor Nora originally intended to ask Sabrina and Christine to accompany her, but ended up asking Roy instead.
"Roy, come with me for a walk in Tines Village."
Instructor Nora called out to Roy, who was setting up the tent.
Roy dropped the Iron Awl he was holding, stood up, and replied, "Oh, coming!"
"You wait for me outside. Majeri and I will go to the village to inquire about the Griffon Bulwark."
Instructor Nora said to the members of the Adventure Group.
After saying that, he led Roy and followed Majeri into the Tines Village.
As soon as I entered the village, I saw an old Half-Elf sitting under a big tree, enjoying the cool shade, with a half-cup of fruit tea in his hand.
Upon seeing guide Majeri enter the village, the old Half-Elf immediately greeted him:
"Majeri, where are you going this time?"
Majeri stopped and approached the Old Elf, saying:
"Griffon Bulwark, Uncle Adeji, I want to try again this time and see if I can get over that mountain ridge!"
The old Half-Elf almost scrunched up his face. He glanced at Nora and Roy with some apprehension before speaking tactfully:
"They're going on adventures again?! Where do these adventurers come from?"
"They're from Castleton City," Majeri said without any attempt to hide anything.
The Old Elf's eyes lit up, a hint of memory in them, and he said with a smile:
"That's a wonderful place. I lived there for a while when I was young. Later, when the Naga Sea Clan went to war, the army wanted to use us Half-Elf as cannon fodder, so we fled by boat overnight..."
Majeri quickly interrupted the Old Elf's reminiscence and said to him:
"Uncle Adeji, stop telling me stories from your youth, I can practically recite them by heart. Hasn't your son always wanted to cross the Griffon Bulwark to hunt the Magic Antelope? So, do you have any information to share?"
The old Half-Elf didn't hide anything and said:
"He did find three passes, but even those passes are sheer cliffs hundreds of meters high, and there are Griffon Nests on both sides. As soon as they find any living thing clinging to the cliff, the griffins will attack like madmen. If you ask me, we can ask a group of dwarves to help us. Ask them to carve a tunnel under the Griffon Bulwark Mountain and go directly through this barrier. That's the best way to avoid those griffins."
Roy was speechless when he heard the old Half-Elf suggest asking the dwarves to dig the tunnel.
Instructor Nora asked curiously:
"Aren't there any elven hunters who go to hunt those griffins?"
Majeri gave a wry smile and said, "Of course there are, but hunting griffins is extremely dangerous. Those griffins are not only cunning but also exceptionally fierce, and they don't have much valuable material to them. Few people are willing to wear griffin skin armor; that stuff is even worse than Magic Antelope leather, but it's several times harder to catch than Magic Antelope..."
Instructor Nora said:
"In my opinion, the reason why we have been unable to overcome the Griffon Bulwark is precisely because of the existence of these griffins. Once we drive these griffins away, nothing will dare to come out and stop us."
Guide Majeri looked at Instructor Nora with surprise and whispered, "Trying to drive away those griffins? You'd be better off finding some dwarves to dig a tunnel..."
Perhaps it was nearing evening, for the village's young elves appeared out of nowhere.
Everyone gathered at the village entrance. When some elves saw the Adventure Group, they ran over to ask the instructors if they had come with a caravan to sell goods. The instructors explained that it was an Adventure Group, and immediately some young elves approached, hoping to join the Adventure Group on a southern expedition.
The instructors couldn't make a decision, so they waited for Instructor Nora to return.
When Instructor Nora returned to the camp from the village, she heard that the young elves in the village planned to temporarily join the Adventure Group, and she did not grant their request.
Instructor Nora stated that only capable Elf Warrior could join the Adventure Group, and the young elves in the village clearly did not yet possess such strength.
Elves crave romance, freedom, and a carefree lifestyle, but they can also be lazy. Young elves who aspire to become qualified warriors need to learn martial arts...
The young elves protested, arguing that the Adventure Group included two young female elves and a Half-Elf, so weren't they young too? "You can challenge whoever you want, but you must challenge them in their area of expertise."
Instructor Nora glanced at Sabrina and Miss Christine and said casually.
A group of young elves immediately became interested, and some other elves nearby also ran over to watch the excitement. One of them, a strong Half-Elf, was chosen by them. His skin was somewhat dark, which clearly indicated that he had the blood of Dark Moon Elf. He was also very burly, with solid muscles all over his body, clearly a strength-type warrior.
Seeing the group of young elves push out such a tall man, Instructor Nora finally sat up straight.
The young elves of Tines Village smirked, seemingly waiting to see a good show.
Perhaps these young elves from Tines Village had no intention of going on an adventure to the south; they simply wanted to make Instructor Nora look down on them, and then have a competition with the younger members of the Adventure Group.
Perhaps it's just an excuse to get closer to Sabrina and Miss Christine...
"So, who are you going to compete against?" Instructor Nora looked up and asked the burly young elf.
The robust young elf glanced at Miss Christine first; she possessed an innate aristocratic air, and the young elf didn't even dare to look her directly in the eye...
Then, the young elf looked at Sabrina.
Sabrina didn't give him a chance to look at Roy. She stood up from the tent entrance, carrying Heavy Sword wrapped in Linen Bandage, and strode towards the burly young elf, asking him, "Do you want to have a match with me?"
The village's young elves immediately erupted in cheers...
The young elf nodded to Sabrina, turned around and took a spear handed to him by a companion, then assumed an attack stance towards Sabrina.
Everyone spontaneously formed a circle at the campsite, and even the elves accompanying the caravan gathered around...
In the twilight, Sabrina's face still appeared very fair, and her eyes, like two emeralds, radiated a confident light. She held Heavy Sword in both hands, looking heroic and dashing.
Roy thought that these young elves from Tines Village probably just wanted Sabrina to step forward and have a match.
The young elves' eyes were all fixed on Sabrina.
Seeing that Sabrina was ready for battle, the young elf holding the spear did not hesitate. He gripped the spear shaft tightly with both hands, and in the instant he charged forward, he turned around and swept the spear horizontally.
The immense force caused the spear to make a whooshing sound as it cut through the air.
It was thought that Sabrina would back down, and then the young elf would immediately follow up with a heavy slash, then raise his spear from the right side. After this series of actions, Sabrina would be forced to keep fighting and would have little chance to fight back before she was exhausted.
However, Sabrina did not step back to avoid the sweeping attack as the young elf had expected.
She held the Heavy Sword with both hands and surprisingly made the same move as the young elf, swinging the Heavy Sword at him.
'when'
With a deafening roar, Sabrina gripped her Heavy Sword tightly with both hands, actually managing to deflect the spear from the young elf's hand...
Sabrina slammed her Heavy Sword into the young elf's open space. A blurry Sword Dancer appeared behind her. Sabrina's shoulder slammed into the young elf's chest, and with a flick of her wrist, she placed the Heavy Sword, still bandaged, on the young elf's shoulder.
In just one round, Sabrina forced the young elf to be unable to attack...
She then easily sheathed her Heavy Sword, turned around, and headed to the tent entrance, all in one fluid motion.
The young elves who were watching didn't even see what happened before the battle was over...
Of the instructors, only Instructor Nora and Instructor Virgil knew Sabrina's strength. Instructor Eleanor and Instructor Gru were also looking at Sabrina in surprise, unsure of what to say.
"Oops!"
The young elves let out a disappointed hiss.
These young Half-Elf lived in a small village in the Pattington Plane and had little experience with real elven combat techniques. They had only occasionally learned a few moves from passing travelers, so they were no match for Sabrina, who was studying martial arts at the Elf Academy.
As Instructor Nora walked out of Padesto City and saw the lives of these young elves in the village, she already knew very well that the Half-Elf living on the Pattington Plane were actually severely suppressed by the Silvermoon Elven Nobles of Padesto City, and the Half-Elf here could not even receive the education they deserved.
The young elves here only know how to hunt, gather herbs, and search for gems in the mountains and fields.
Instructor Nora originally thought that Pattington Plane was a secluded place for the Half-Elf, but now it seems more like a cage for them.
These young elves didn't even realize that they could step out from here and see the vast sky of the outside world.
Just then, a young elf holding a Forest Bow stood before Miss Christine...
The Forest Bow in his hand even had some patina on it, and the bowstring was completely integrated with the Hardwood Bow. The quiver at his waist was also old, but the fletching of each arrow was trimmed very neatly.
"May I test my archery skills with you?" The thin young elf had a colorful rope tied around his right arm and a strong sense of confidence in his eyes.
A sense of anticipation returned to the eyes of the young elves of Tines Village.
There were even elves shouting, "Abe, show them what true archery is!"
Miss Christine glanced at Instructor Nora before looking up at the young elf hunter named Abe and asking crisply, "How do you plan to compete?"
As a Silver Moon Elf, Miss Christine naturally possesses an aura that can suppress any Half-Elf.
The elf hunter Abe pointed somewhat nervously to a large tree at the village entrance and said to Miss Christine, "There's a target on the trunk of that tree. Let's have a contest to see who can shoot more accurately!"
Miss Christine stood up, glanced at the tree, and said, "You go first..."
With unwavering confidence, the elf hunter Abe drew his Forest Bow to its fullest extent. The young elves around him held their breath as Abe released an arrow, which struck the bullseye perfectly.
Cheers erupted from all around.
Miss Christine tied her cascading hair into a ponytail and stood beside the hunter Abe. Her entire demeanor changed instantly, and she became like a taut bow. She held Battle Shortbow in one hand, raised her arm, and the elves around her fell silent.
She casually drew an arrow from her quiver, and Roy watched as she infused it with a wisp of Wind Element before drawing her Battle Shortbow to its full extent...
The arrow, enveloped in a light white mist of Wind Element, transformed into a white line and struck the arrow that the hunter Abe had planted in the bullseye, shattering Abe into pieces.
As soon as the arrow was fired, the young elves of Tines Village fell completely silent...
Everyone looked at Sabrina and Miss Christine with some surprise. Some of the younger elves who had wanted to strike up a conversation with them were now frightened by the two female elves and retreated one after another.
Even the young elves who had originally wanted to compete with Roy backed down.
Taking the opportunity, Instructor Nora stood up from the front of the tent and addressed the elves of Tines Village surrounding them. "We come from the Castleton Elf Academy. These are all students at the academy and members of our Adventure Group. They are all studying martial arts and archery at the Elf Academy. Only through learning can they systematically improve themselves, change themselves, and gain a clearer understanding of their weaknesses and strengths. This is how they can grow quickly and become excellent Warrior Class..."
