After Roy asked the Imperial Merchants about the sea routes, some of those who revealed the Slave Trade Route were assigned by Roy to work at the shipyard. Every day, they carried shovels to scrape away the shellfish clinging to the bottoms of ships.

The remaining Imperial Merchants returned to the beach camp and continued digging rocks in the Sea Reef Rock area, living lives of incredible hardship.

At first, the Empire Crew could still restrain their tempers and did not say anything too harsh to the Imperial Merchants, because they hoped that one day, these merchants might have a chance to redeem them as well.

But in the past two days, word had reached the crew that Boss Roy was asking the Imperial Merchants about the Slave Trade Route. Those willing to reveal the route had long since moved onto the ships and only needed to do some simple work every day.

Only the Imperial Merchants unwilling to reveal the route had been sent back, digging rocks in the reef area alongside the crew.

The Empire Crew dreamed of regaining their freedom soon, but the Imperial Merchants' refusal to talk even in the face of death made the crew feel that they might grow old and die on Kui Island, spending their entire lives as laborers digging rocks.

The despairing Empire Crew occasionally vented their emotions through curses. Though they did not curse these Imperial Merchants to their faces, the camp was filled with bitterness, tension, impulsiveness, and rage. Those emotions were like explosives that could be ignited at any moment.
