The Battle Begins

Smack!!!

Cull Obsidian swung his thick, heavy palm, landing another crushing blow on Ebony Maw's Telekinetic Shield, which Lin Feng's Energy Ray had already nearly shattered.

Before Ebony Maw had even managed to knock Lin Feng down once, he had been slapped bloody by his own companion.

Bang!!!

Ebony Maw's body skidded across the ground like a flying sack of rags, sent more than thirty feet away.

Cull Obsidian stood atop the spacecraft, his face covered in blood as he stared at the smiling Lin Feng.

Suddenly, he felt that something was wrong.

He turned to look at what he had just sent flying. This look gave him quite a fright—wasn't that Lord Ebony Maw?

Cull Obsidian's heart trembled. In a panic, he jumped down from the spacecraft, rushed to Ebony Maw's side, and helped him up.

"My lord, are you all right?"

Ebony Maw rose to his feet with a dark expression. He wiped the dirt from his face and flung it forcefully to the ground.

Cull Obsidian wanted to help wipe away the mud on Ebony Maw's face, but with his thick, massive palm—no, it would be more accurate to call it a claw—

he only smeared the mud across Ebony Maw's face, making it unbearably painful.

With a flick of his hand, Ebony Maw angrily sent Cull Obsidian crashing aside with his powerful telekinesis.

Ebony Maw raised his hand at Lin Feng and jerked it sharply backward.

Lin Feng's eyes had been about to fire another pair of crimson energy beams, but his body was suddenly dragged away by an invisible force.

His body flew toward Ebony Maw beyond his control.

Meanwhile, Cull Obsidian, who had climbed back up from the ground, did not hold Ebony Maw's attack against him.

Instead, he fixed his gaze on Lin Feng, whom Ebony Maw had dragged over. He swung his Heavy Mechanical Scythe and hurled it forward with his innate monstrous strength.

The scythe came smashing toward Lin Feng with a howling whistle. If this blow landed solidly, an ordinary person would immediately be reduced to a pile of mangled flesh.

Cull Obsidian could not stand Lin Feng's arrogant look any longer. He hefted the Mechanical Scythe in his hand, ready to smash it into Lin Feng's face the moment Ebony Maw gave the order.

"Be careful. I do not want the gem to be crushed."

Ebony Maw took a step back and made room.

Lin Feng had no idea what the two of them were muttering about.

But judging by their expressions, he knew that the one about to deal with him was probably this dim-witted giant.

Lin Feng grinned and strained his body, breaking free from Ebony Maw's telekinetic restraint.

Ebony Maw's hand suddenly felt slack, like a tightly gripped rope snapping without warning.

He stared at Lin Feng in disbelief, a strong sense of danger rising within him.

Just as he opened his mouth to call out to Cull Obsidian, Lin Feng had already closed in and arrived before Cull Obsidian.

Cull Obsidian looked at Lin Feng, who had practically delivered himself to him, and snorted disdainfully.

He swung his Heavy Mechanical Scythe down at him. Lin Feng clenched his right fist, and his entire arm became covered in a layer of crimson veins, instantly changing shape.

His right hand, covered in strange dragon scales, blocked at his side and easily caught Cull Obsidian's scythe.

"Hm?"

Cull Obsidian froze, wondering whether his eyes were playing tricks on him.

"Move aside!"

At that moment, Ebony Maw flicked his hand and pulled Cull Obsidian away.

Then he struck his other palm toward Lin Feng, his powerful telekinesis churning up even the ground beneath their feet.

But when that force reached Lin Feng, it was like wind from a hair dryer.

Other than blowing Lin Feng's hair back a little, it had no effect at all.

"Heh!"

Lin Feng sneered, still gripping Cull Obsidian's scythe.

But when Ebony Maw had pulled Cull Obsidian away, a long chain had extended from the part of the scythe Cull Obsidian held.

One end was in Cull Obsidian's hand, while the other connected to the scythe in Lin Feng's grasp.

Lin Feng grabbed the scythe and yanked it backward. Cull Obsidian, who was pulling on the chain from the other side, discovered in horror that his strength was no match for Lin Feng's.

Seeing this, Ebony Maw hurriedly took out a mysterious device and pressed it.

Then, as Lin Feng watched Cull Obsidian fly toward him, that body, even taller than Hulk's, nearly blocked out the sun before him.

A huge shadow descended over him. Lin Feng raised his hand toward the incoming Cull Obsidian.

A crimson Energy Blast gathered in his palm. Just as Cull Obsidian was about to crash into him, the Energy Blast suddenly erupted.

It struck Cull Obsidian in the abdomen, and the powerful explosion blasted him away.

Whoosh~

Boom!!!

Cull Obsidian trailed a long plume of black smoke as he landed in the distance with a heavy crash.

Other than being strong, Cull Obsidian was not actually difficult to deal with.

After all, even Tony in his armor could fight him for a few rounds. His fighting style had no technique to it whatsoever; beyond being simple and brutal, it was full of openings.

But Ebony Maw was different. Not only did this foreigner have a cool ability, he was highly intelligent.

Even when fighting, he looked as though he were attending some high-class banquet. He looked incredibly stylish.

If he were not so ugly, he could probably have as many fans as the main cast.

"Want the gem?"

Lin Feng held one hand behind his lower back. A slit opened there, and the gem inside his body slid out and dropped into his palm.

He held the gem up before him and waved it in front of Ebony Maw's eyes.

Seeing the greed in Ebony Maw's gaze, Lin Feng swallowed it in one bite.

"Come and get it. It's right in my stomach."

Against someone this intelligent, Lin Feng did not want to play games of wits.

Teasing Ebony Maw in the simplest way possible would definitely work.
