Christmas Approaches

Christmas was approaching. One morning in mid-December, Hogwarts woke from its dreams to find several feet of snow blanketing the grounds and the lake frozen solid.

George Weasley and Fred Weasley were punished for enchanting several snowballs to chase Quirrell around and smack into the back of his turban.

Tierra captured the scene with his magical camera.

From late October until Christmas drew near, nearly two months had passed. By embezzling Harry's and the Quidditch team's potion-making funds, Tierra had finally saved enough money to buy a magical camera after purchasing the potions he needed.

Over those nearly two months, besides his steadily growing wallet, Tierra had also made tremendous progress in Potions, Alchemy, and Transfiguration.

Once Christmas arrived and this term's final exams were over, Tierra could try brewing the Hydra Potion.

With winter officially here, Tierra spent most of his time indoors... more precisely, in the warm dormitory.

Only when heavy snow was falling and the Weasley Twins were both outside would Tierra wrap himself up like a thick dumpling and venture outdoors.

That was how he captured this memorable scene.

With final exams over and Christmas approaching, Tierra was the only one who could still settle down and study.

Even Hermione had been a little distracted these past few days. Like everyone else, she was looking forward to the holiday.

Although roaring fires burned in the Gryffindor Common Room and the Great Hall, maintained by warming charms, the drafty corridors had become bitterly cold, and the classroom windows rattled under the fierce winter wind.

"I really feel sorry for those people," Draco Malfoy said during the final exam, the Potions exam. "They have to stay at Hogwarts for Christmas because their families don't want them."

As he spoke, his eyes were fixed on Harry.
